My mum has just been diagnosed. We're scared & watched plenty of depressing videos. Then I come across you and I'm smiling for the first time. You bring hope something so lacking with mnd! Thank you deeply from the bottom of my 💓 heart x x
Wonderful to hear you are OK and independent, happy and courageous. I watched your BBC documentary some time ago and you've raised my awareness of MND. Every time I hear your story I'm very touched.
Well done Lucy. I’ve never met you but I love you. I just wish you had been around when Adam, my son, was going through the same journey. He cut himself off from friends and family including his two brothers. Apart from me, his mom, and his three children. I feel privileged to have been able to share his struggle with him to the end. I miss him every minute. I have watched all your progress with a smile and a tear. Thank you. Chris x
Great to c not only the fight against the ALS but ur constant positivity n nice to c ur finally happy ...hope the BBC does a follow up documentary again soon
Your update brought a big smile - so glad you're cracking on with life. Don't let those who spread negativity get to you - your experiences are helping others (and I hope yourself as well)
Great to see that smile. Very honest video, quite sad in parts but also glad you are finding that inner happiness and peace (and bf, sister, flat, zeus).. you achieve so much it is remarkable. Such a beautiful girl inside and out. Keep living life to the full, stay strong. So many people are with you
You are on the right track Lucy, we have never met but my daughter sent me a link to your site last year. She also has MND and you strength and courage has inspired her. You have done the right thing by surrounding your self with people that love you, draw on that love for as long as you can. My daughter has such an extended family and lots of friends so tons of love to draw on. So feel pity/sorrow for the naysayers as you are an Em-path but pay there comments no heed. Strength and Love, Pb
My grandad passed from mnd many years ago. What I know now and following deanna from the deanna protocol I'd have treated my grandad for chronic lyme disease. You are a true inspiration for sharing your journey and I wish you all the love in the world ❤️ x
Sending lots of love and best wishes to you Lucy!! You remind me so much of my sister who had MND. I miss her so much but feel thankful that I had such fun times with her even after her diagnosis. Hope you have a fantastic Christmas with your boyfriend and family xxx
I love your spirit and determination Lucy. I'm sure you've heard this once or twice, you are an inspiring young woman. Keep doing what you are doing, do what makes you happy every day. I wish you, your partner and family a very Happy Christmas and the best of everything for the coming year.
Thanks so much for the update. You’re so funny and wise. I’m so glad that you and your sister are back to being best friends. In the documentary I watched with you your sister seems like a lovely person too. It’s perfectly normal on this journey of ups and downs to push those closest to you away so don’t be hard on yourself for that. I’ll keep reading your tweets to cheer me up. I’m so happy you have found someone who loves and cares about you, and well done on getting through your therapy. Therapy can be so challenging when you have to face emotions that you don’t want. Have a lovely Christmas and new year and I will be looking out for updates. Lots of love xxxx
Good attitude to have Lucy, unfortunately there will always be nasty people in the world who seem to take great pleasure in bringing someone down. It’s easy to say ignore them, but when they are directly aiming it at you it’s hurtful. But it says more about them than you, block these people if you can. You don’t need that kind of negativity. It’s lovely to see you genuinely smile about your boyfriend and also coming to terms with everything. You are a true inspiration. Best wishes for the future. Laura x
Great to see a new post from you Lucy. Glad to hear that you enjoying your flat and the freedom that has come with it. Best wishes for Xmas.Look forward to you posting in the new year.

Amazing to watch this update, your smile is beautiful, especially when you speak of your bf 😀 the pure happiness is just radiating from you! You're a true warrior and Inspiration to others 😘
I've just recently started following you Lucy here from New Zealand My sister in law has MND. It has truly been devastating watching her and my brother go through this. Of course we try to do as much as we can to support them but it never feels enough, there's humour too though still 😉 Not wanting to sound selfish but it has taken a huge toll on our family too, I call it the "Bastard" I wish you and your family courage, empathy and my kindest thoughts across the miles xxxxxx
You've gotta love her!! Her husband is 1 helluva lucky man-fact!!
