A simple way is to see how young kids (toddler age to about 6 yrs) would look at you. If you're decent looking, they will look and may smile at you. Kids at that age will likely not lie as much as teens and adults.

I joined a class recently there is one girl I am interested in but she is always with here 4-5 frnds and never alone also whenever I start a convo it's difficult during class and after that she always with the group
Considering that im going through a (mutual) divorce, I'm genuinely not looking for a fling, but also not ready for a new relationship. Ive got a ton of work to do on me. Ive got a short fuse sometimes, Ive got special needs kids, Ive let my physical health slide, finances are tight from divorce. Im not a great catch right now. However, Ive met a very kind and vibrant girl and when we talk, she seems interested. Although it may land me in the friend zone forever, I wanna ask her out as friends. I mostly want to open the door to having something beyond casual chit-chat at the cash register without trying for too much too soon. I figure we can get to know eachother while i get my life sorted and divorce finalized...and IF she's still available, go for more. And if shes not, then id just be happy to have such a positive person in my life. Does this sound like the right move?

Most often the advice comes with the caveat of finding a kind, feminine, honest woman of integrity. Which is sort of like someone saying they some super helpful stock market advice only to tell you to buy low and sell high. Uh, yeah, duh. The real helpful advice would be where to find such women. I've heard people say at church more often than any other place but as 5 of my 7 long term relationships including with my ex-wife were with women I either met in church or who were consistently involved in church and none of them were shining examples of Christian values I'm going to have to say the church is no better than anywhere else. Maybe not worse but not better either. They weren't worse than the casual church gals or non church gals but there was really no difference.
Steer clear of the church. Those women are evil. They use the church as a cover for their evil nature. If any church woman is not a virgin or married, she is not a genuine "church goer" anyway. They are the same as the bar/club scene girls, but demand a "premium" because they go to church....

Women like kind men. But he has to have bonders. Being a nice guy isn't laughing along with volger jokes just to make other people feel good. You can refuse to laugh. If someone says something you don't agree with you don't have to agree. If you make a promise keep it. If your afraid you can't keep a promise avoid making it.
You're in for a world of disappointment if you expect people to be perfect and everything to be black and white.
Basically being nice but not for the sake of being nice. You do what is morally right, which is, in most cases, to be nice to people, but also to have boundaries and show people what's right and wrong even if it may be uncorforable.
I'm just hearing a lot of things I'm not good at.

These are not signs, these are "things to do to become more attractive". These are not signs that other people are finding you attractive. Also this advice does not work. I have done all these things all my life, and my love life has been miserable and lonely. I have never had a woman i loved want to even go on a date with me. And i literally do all these things naturally. So no, those things do not work. Speaking from experience.
So if you eat more Honycrisp apples will we see more signs of being attractive? 😁
Only problem i have with the things you are suggesting. If i don't do them already. Your telling men to change who they are. Im 61 years old. I'm not going to change myself for anybody. If people dont like me. Im perfectly ok with that. But im not going to do a lot of things i normally dont do .to get a date. To me its all a big lie. I'm ok living by myself. Nobody to tell me i can or cant. I do what i want when ever i want. I had enough bosses when i was in the Military. I'm a Male Cancer. Have been stabbed in the back by a lot of people i called friends. Even my family. So i count on myself.
There should be more like you, Walter. You believe in yourself; you don't need to be somebody you are not. Here in Australia, relationships are about real people, not just cogs in a social machine, who all "do it" every Thursday.
