I have recently purchased the Harry Enfield, Harry and Paul dvd boxsets and the Fast Show boxsets and, although having watched them decades ago, I had forgot how brilliant they were. I have literally been in floods of tears watching these and have to admit felt a lot of pride that my small country has produced such comedy gems. So glad you appreciate our humour. Friday Night Dinner, Plebs, Siblings, The IT Crowd and This Country are also well worth a look as is Game On and so many others. I believe you have already discovered the classic Father Ted.
Imho, Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse are the most talented individuals in the UK , not only at making people laugh but doing it in a way that is very intelligent from a social perspective - very adroit observational comedy on how ridiculous we are as humans sometimes - eg. I saw you coming' sketches highlighting how very rich people will pay anything for any old tat just because the shop is in a desirable neighbourhood. There are many great characters over the series they did together - I can't recommend them too highly!! Comedy gold 🤣
Me too. I know a few channels I subscribe to, this one included and I very much enjoy American reaction to Brit humour (part of our special relationship), but I'm not going to pay someone to watch stuff I have watched many times over for years. Keep up the good work 🙂
Harry Enfield had a number of sketch shows over the years, with first Harry Enfield's Television Programme, then Harry Enfield and Chums, later Harry and Paul, all with Paul Whitehouse and usually Kathy Burke.
All of Harry Enfield & Paul Whitehouse's stuff is on Netflix I believe (at least UK Netflix, but you can get it with a VPN). His earlier show from the 1990s, Harry Enfield & chums (which also stars Paul Whitehouse), is definitely on there but some of the skits are very much for a British audience (kind of obviously, but I mean there are references which an American probably won't get). When I was at school in the 90's we used to quote that show ALL the time though. So many classic, nostalgic catchphrases
Harry Enfield was the Sasha Baron Cohen from the 90s before Sasha Baron Cohen came onto the scene, also taking the Inbetweeners out reminds me when a friend of a friend beat up a minor, he got given grief from all the other kids in the area afterwards
true story..................... I lived and worked in Western Australia from 1984 to 2014. I worked as a mechanic for most of those years. We had a regular customer by the name of Bill Fildes. I couldn't contain myself when he introduced me his brother Peter Fildes
The Gay Nazi sketch is really good you're probably going to like - American tourists 'peekaboo' as well it's another funny sketch of there's. Ps. Love that you found Clarkson Island I've revisited that parody quite a few times.
You must watch the film Kevin and Perry go large with Harry Enfield and Cathy Burke, they play two teenagers who seek fame and fortune as aspiring DJs in the Ibiza club scene, I guarantee you will laugh from beginning to end.
Hi, got to you while watching Harry and Paul. I'm English and gotta say, for me they are the last generation we have that were truly hilarious. Vic and Bob also - Best of British slap stick. It really got me laughing watching you two laughing. You know how it is, laughter begets laughter.
You'll love Men Behaving Badly. Not the 1st series though with Harry in it , he left show after 1st . It was better from 2nd series. It's your cup of tea , lol
I've not seen this before hilarious 😆😂😂...places like Staffordshire or the Cotswolds outside of London in the 80s/90s I do remember seeing and talking to older American tourists o, God of course and Chester (the Roman city) tartan shorts, lemon coloured cardie and baseball cap 🤗🤗but they were lovely really..
I remember Laurel and Hardy fans getting offended over a sketch I found hilarious: "Laurel and Hardy Brokeback Mountain". These two American characters are also worth a watch.
I remember one time when I was a kid, we went to York (old York) in Yorkshire where I'm from for a family day out. It has lots of history! We were sitting outside a cafe eating and drinking with lots of tourists going by when one guy dropped his wallet. It was the size of a brick! Absolutely packed with cash, owned by an American tourist. My mother jumped up and gave it him back. He never noticed. This was in the mid 80's so however much he had was a huge amount! It'd worked its way up out of his back pocket.
Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse wrote 'The Fast Show' Johnny Depp was so in love with the show, that he got his agent to get in touch and ask if he could play a cameo role, anything, just to be on the show. They wrote him in to a sketch. ua-cam.com/video/LT-b1qXznKI/v-deo.html
Harry didn't write the fast show. It was Paul Whitehouse & Charlie Higson. Charlie done alot for Harry but wanted to act aswell, so they done the fast show. The "suits you" pair was originally wrote for Harry but he didn't want to do it. As for Depp, your absolutely right. He asked to do it.
You should watch Kevin and Perry Go Large with Enfield, proper British lads film with a banging Ibiza soundtrack of the time it was made to boot (2000)
I thought it would be remiss of me (as a Brit) to not post the football results. The 'Badidlyboing Chipmunks' got whupped by the 'Rhode-Eyed Rapists' and are now 3 points behind the 'Mincenatti Mincers' with a game in hand against the 'Tampon Bay Terrorists' and 2 over the 'Pennsyldelphia Paedos.' It's not easy for us to keep up with the latest results here in the UK, but it sounds like the Mincers v the Tampons could get messy? The Chipmunks are going to struggle to squirrel their way out of this one, but the Rapists v the Paedos sounds like one to watch? Keep us up to date!
I thoroughly recommend Kevin & Perry Go Large. It's a movie based on two of Harry Enfield's greatest creations. Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke (who plays Perry) are British Gods.
Dude in Telford there a cafe called steaming mug , their menu is insane you can get as an extra to any breakfast dish steak and chips . So yeah full english 4 of each item with steak and chips for £10 !!!!!! One of them does me my mrs and the dog . That cafe is better than most restaurants i have been too
@@djdeemz7651 😂😂don't start me off, my Mrs wanted me to get her some pancakes for breakfast with syrup last week 😂I had to say there's a little place up the road that does them, end of the road, turn left and keep going for 3000mls and with that comment the outcome was I got some pancakes (I'm cheeky but not brave😂) 👍✌️
That's often true where cafe's try to make their own products fresh, otherwise they have to deal with potato deliveries, washing, prepping and whatever else so the alternative is taking a chance on frozen chips from a wholesaler which aren't special at all. A cafe's a cafe, not a Fish and Chip restaurant and many like to move away from chips to be more "continental".
Ignore the criticism re Inbetweeners. I just enjoy watching your reaction to what you are able to show. When i want to watch the episodes in full i can do that anytime, but i like watching the first time reaction of Muppets like you😋
Btw glad you aren't doing daily motion, that just crashes my tablet. Another option though is something called vimeo, that has worked before with other reactors.
That's me too. I did it the other day, just to fill in the gap. I get my belly laughs from watching this pair have to go off cam, for collapsing with laughter!

Harry Enfield was Alfie and Lilly Alan’s step dad the baby sketch was based on them …. That’s lily Allen the singer you had no idea about in the past while on the graham Norton show with Miriam Margolyes ,and her brother ….John wick baddie and Theon Greyjoy actor.

great reaction as always, so entertaining. it's probably already been mentioned but i'll say anyway, Bob mortimer worked a lot with harry and paul, adding to the genius.
I like their Self righteous brothers skit, the two old doctors ones, and the old men looking for queers, also the intellectual scaffolders. Oh and of course the U2 ones.
The best bit is when they talk about a plain cheese sandwich like it’s amazing, and being completely serious and happy about it. The same words out of a Brit’s mouth would instantly be assumed to be sarcasm! And rightly so… what kind of shit restaurant is this?! 😂
Watch Harry and Paul's characters 'The Scaffolders,The Surgeons...sooooo many to choose from. They are both comedy geniuses and let's not forget Cathy Burke's characters.
You see how the two cultures can so easily be misunderstood. By the way, the places where I go, have everything for breakfast and more. But the British don't eat sweet things for breakfast, and that includes pancakes. I much prefer bubble-and-squeek with my eggs, plus all the trimmings.
Very talented and intelligent Harry Enfield and laughs per second 🤣😂👍Thank you intelligent Americans.

You two are amazing, seriously the best ones on UA-cam by a long mile! 😂
Women: Know Your Limits! Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse - A definite watch together sketch.. Enjoy :)
Did you know that the little boy in this sketch is Carly's little brother ( That Simon puked up on) in Episode 2 of The Inbetweeners first season.
Thought his face looked familiar.
Their show is hilarious. See the intellectual scafolders - "ruddy hell!"
