I discovered that if making snowballs that you want to pop up higher when opening a box, you can have too heavy of paper for the soft rubber bands. I wonder if these firm ones would be better for greater jumping action on heavier balls.
It is absolutely worth a try! Depending on the cardstock I've been able to mix a soft and firm and get great spring in the Bitty Ball and sometimes even two firms. The Surprise Ball might be too big for the 12Firms, but experimentation can yield wonderful discoveries!
I used the recollections cardstock from Micheal’s it also put glittered cardstock panels on to make snowballs with the mini ball pop-up. They didn’t pop too well so I switched to using a 65 lb cardstock with 65 lb panels. These popped out of the box way better.
Oh yes, absolutely. Here's a video where I made a Bear from a Bitty head and Surprise body. You just need a larger card to hide the animal when using the larger balls. ua-cam.com/video/BHdlEUo13uA/v-deo.html
The Mini Ball will flatten into a 3.5" square, just the ball. But if you end up adding arms, tails, ears, etc. then the footprint will increase. I always recommend making your ball animal first and then flatten it and measure what size card you'll need to hide it.
I absolutely love all the pop up balls!!!
Very helpful video! Thanks so much!
and again ➕PLUS PLUS➕ well done 🖖

What size is the mini ball when it is squished?
