$70M lottery ticket expires today unless winner comes forward

- A $70 million Lotto Max jackpot prize remains unclaimed with just hours to go before it expires. The winning ticket, which was bought in Toronto's Scarborough neighbourhood, will expire at 10:30 p.m. ET Wednesday unless the rightful ticket holder comes forward, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says.

I Don’t Understand These People! They Buy The Tickets, Put Them Aside And Don’t Even Bother To Check The Numbers! Ridiculous!
Put the 70 million back into the pool.
I have heard that the unclaimed ticket has now expired. So sad, the person who purchased the ticket might be really in need of financial help. I guess that if the identity of the expired winner is ever discovered, the poor individual would be better off not knowing about it.
It's so strange how often this seems to happen.
Well the person could have died or suffered another condition or disease that prevented them from claiming their prize. That person might had been a tourist that came to visit their family in Canada and went back home and forgot about the ticket also. So many if's, should or would never have in case of lotteries. The person could also have been touched or caught in a wildfire, a flood, a house or car fire, accident etc. The best you can do is check any ticket at your home, car, apartment, in clothing etc, the most 1 week to a month after the purchase, so none of those condition applies to you really. Why is the lottery come out and always wait till the last day of all huge winning ticket to be expiring and use a huge media blast about this?? Are their sales dwindling and they need money for their next raise?? LOL Are they gonna be doing a special winning lottery like each year?? What is the payout to winners, compared to the sales of tickets in the end?? 2%?? 3%?? to winners and the rest goes to their suppliers, which are probably from family owned or friends owned companies, same with the machines, computers that select winners, etc. Selling dreams of winning made of nothing really, impossible odds for the people in reality. Selling hundreds of millions of tickets per week at 4$ each, which would make them 400M +/-, then they claim winners get 50M overall, minus the discarded, the lost, the forgotten etc. You might get a winner for the big prize which is maybe 20M dollars a bunch of small prizes for maybe 2M dollars. So they make 400 millions dollars +/- and give away 20 to 22 millions dollars?? And it all goes back also that it all belongs to the governments in the end LOL Governments will collect taxes on that amount on interests people will get from that money past one year, collect taxes on every purchase they make etc 🤣😂🤣😂

Why is the lottery company so eager to find the person who won? Imagine, you buying a small car, but the company decides to give you a bigger car?!
The Canadian Lottery system goes to great length to find the winner. They would have had a team of investigators to try and track this person down for the last few months for sure. Its all tax free as you know. The good news for the person who bought the ticket: is that they will never know they threw away 70 million
Because the media holds them accountable. They track who wins every game and keeps badgering OLG till the prizes if won are paid out.😂

It was me.i bought ticket and a bottle of tylenol.but im not from Scarborough so i cant name a store in the city so i was screwed. Uncle had surgery that day.ohh well i have bad luck.
Perhaps they would rather live in peace than have to live life looking over their shoulder because the OLG painted a target on their back.
