Charles affected the action by saying that's me. He can't do that in a multi way pot with action still going on. I'd be pissed too, Charles killed the action between Peter and Pepe.

Specifically if you are all in and action is still happening with others. Otherwise, you can say whatever you want as that is part of poker whether they belive you or not. In this case, he should not have said anything.
As a former Poker league owner I have to say that the problem is the lack of ruling on the table, and that is coming from the organizer the poker house the person who set up the game whos solely responsible. Explaining: Obviously there are no rules whatsoever from the organizer despite the fact that is a HIGH STAKES Poker game, players are meant to follow the rules from the house(the poker game organizer or the dealer has to read the rules to players loud and clear) as far I can see that this is a joke, the dealer didn't say anything at the time as he obviously didn't know what to do despite the fact he is wearing an intercom (First question: what do you need the intercom if you are not using it the time needed, Second question: The dealer runs the game on the table so either you call your supervisor/organizer or person in charge above you or, Why the person observes the table didn't tell you (if you do not know what to do at the time) what to do to prevent that? So overall I can say that is a great disappointment when you see things like that even when you give them money to play. Be professional read and apply the POKER RULES whatever game you are playing on or off TV, respect the players and the house to have a high-quality game, then the audience and players will join and your game will be famous for that, OR you act like that and you will see in the long term how bad it is.
When you say it every time, you can't tell if it's true or not. It's like calling wolf after the third time. Will it have the same expected meaning anymore? Pepe is pissed and he has the right to be pissed. But, I don't think they were cheating on him by giving out information.
[In this private game] Charles can show the Professor his hand after the flop as long as the Professor keeps his mouth shut and shows no emotion. But when he says “This is us” then that’s a No No because the side bet is still going on.
Kinda glad Pepe did this... I have had similar issues at tables and have been noticing alot of non english talk lately during hands between certain players. If you are in a hand the general rule of thumb is English only. Also, Charles is terrible about saying shit during hands with action to come. Sidenote good on Tom for trying to smooth it over
he didn't speak in Chinese he spoke in English it's just he gave away the fact he had likely won the hand and so the main pot, which obviously affects the odds for the two still with money behind
thats because he plays in higher staked games like the million dollar games .comparing apples to oranges.with one hand he won 3.1 million in the million dollar game.
He’s totally right. You don’t say you hit the flop when there’s still side action. His bluff for the side is less likely to work if the guy knows the all in guy hit the flop.
yeah, i would be mad too if someone pushed away 77 from the hand when im shoving 55 with no equity like a donkey... Pepe just wanted excuse to runaway when he was up, nothing deep to it
I don't understnd is that still in the gamesmanship of poker? Why can you no longer use speech play when you are all in? You still have hands that you would want your opponate to fold or hands you want them to keep and add money with, just because you are no longer betting does not mean that you would be any more honest about your holdings than at any other time at the poker table. For example if he has KK and pretends to get excited at an ace flop he might get an Ace hand with a weak kicker to fold, and increase his chance of winning in showdown.
@maknavickas Because two other players were still in the hand and had chips. They also still had action to play out the hand. Charles was all in and not allowed to possibly influence the action of the two remaining players. If he talks about the flop or the strength of his hand he could also be colluding with another player. It's proper etiquette and also in the rules of many casinos about this. If all the players would have been all-in and didn't want to show their cards until after the river card then it would have been okay to chat it up during the flop, turn & river.
@@maknavickasProper etiquette is not to say anything when there is still betting to come between other players. Charles and some other players do that stuff amongst themselves but Pepe isn't a part of that group, so by pure poker standards, he was in the wrong.
Half the table played highstakes plo just a week or two ago. Profesor started the ‘thats me’ yelling it out during the hand. Dwan, airball, charles all played that day n it was a going ‘saying’ since then. He was down to his last few thousands. For these stakes n this lineup of players its like a joke for em playing that. Charles should keep his mouth shut as he is still involved in an active hand. Saying that is me meant he caught a piece of that plot making it more likely Pepe was bluffing.
@@Ver5587BS, how does the other guys supposed know if Charles was telling the truth or not. With your logic, anyone can say I got this every time they want people to fold.
Players when at the table and especially in a hand should not be allowed to speak any other language other than English. It is not fair to the other players that only speak English.
Yup Charles was in the wrong but he didn't do it on purpose, just a slip of the tongue. He's the coolest chinese dude at HCL. Pepe was right but he's such a drama queen. There was no collusion there.
@@ITube4RealFunyou know how dumb it is to collude using Chinese when there's 10k ppl watching. At least 500hun people on stream could understand Chinese. You also dont think andy would catch them?? Easier using body motion to cheat rather than words 😅
With poker being so big and the stakes so high, I do worry about the lack of regulation. Pretty easy here. Speak the local tongue, especially in a hand! If in China, don't speak English to another player when there's someone still in the pot that doesn't speak it. Same vice versa. How is this even in question
Here's the issue. 1 player all-in, obviously, but Charles should not be giving an indication that he hit the flop when the other 2 players are potentially playing a side pot. Why would Peter continue putting in money when the all-in player has indicated that he hit the flop? It kills any more potential side action between Peter & Pepe. Now Pepe knowing that Charles most likely hit part of that flop is down to 2 outs to win the main pot. In this case, Pepe got Peter to lay down the best hand and wins a $32K side pot. So it's more of the principle of the matter in case there was a much smaller side pot. But Pepe should have voiced his concern about that for any future scenarios that are similar and continued to play, but he decided to cash out and go home.
So what advantage is that for the other two person if they believe Charles drill the flop. Is actually a disadvantage for Charles cuz if he claim he hit the flop, then the other player will be less incline to bet into the pot. Charles want to someone to bet an be headsup
In a poker table (friendly) one there’s always someone commenting on the short stack player going all in it is just a normal action and of course based on the rule you shouldn’t say anything at all, but also sometime people show the card next to the player when the win the pot but nearly every time no one would tell em to flip the card over. Charles was no longer any threat to Pepe nor the other Chinese dude since Charles and only win the main pot compare to the side pot it is very subtle. I think pepe just mad at the foreign language being spoken on the table while he is the minority (since Almost every guy speaks Chinese even Tom) and felt isolated
@@jadehoward9792the OP just explained this. It’s a matter of principle, he shouldn’t be revealing any information to anyone regardless of language barrier cause it can change the action of the side pot, in this case Pepe might have checked, but now that Charles said “this is my flop” it might’ve made Pepe more persuaded to bet since if charles is telling any truth, the percentage of the opponent having a similar strength hand as Charles would be lower in percentage. Now think if the non English player had a real hand and Pepe got persuaded to bet due to Charles side comments, it would costed him money. in conclusion it’s just better to stay quiet when you’re all in and not involved in the side pot. This ain’t a friendly home game, they are playing the some of the highest stakes on the planet.

Pepe is right....BUT, if you get into this game by invite, you have to understand that there is a lot of talking that takes place all the time. The game has it's "We are doing this for entertainment" set of unwritten/spoken rules.
There’s a lot of talking that doesn’t involve the hand in play, this is a no-go at any table. Anybody who has played in a game of these stakes would tell you the dealers and the floor would bitch you out and kick you from the table for talking like this, period.
I'm with pepe on this one. Pretty much everyone at the table speaking Chinese and being Hella friendly with each other, and tbh Dwan plays with Chinese billionaires all the time so maybe he speaks some. I would feel uncomfortable and outnumbered enough to leave as well.
People have to understand the reasons that this stream has been better to watch and more interesting is because of 1. Looser rules therefore people talk trash and break certain rules that normal casinos would strictly hold 2. When hustler invites “Chinese recreational players” they are expected to not speak English. Everyone on the table implicitly agree to this by playing this game. Without the whales and “easier” money on the table there wouldn’t be a game like this. Speaking Chinese on these games is perfectly normal and acceptable. 3. The things Charles said is what you would see in a normal home game. Which is what hustler trying to create for people to watch. People acting up, talking trash etc. Saying “I got it” “this is me” with a second pair is just him trying to pump himself up. Obviously he wasn’t 100% sure he would win when there’s a 4 bet preflop. Nothing wrong with Charles and Peter’s action. Pepe whines too much. This ain’t a wsop main event.
The WSOP is a $10,000 buy in. This hand had $59k in the middle preflop. Laugh, joke, speak Klingon but dont give your hand away when there is still heads up action with over a lot of money still at stake.
Not true, a few streams ago lots of Chinese talk and the dealer said “English only” but they kept speaking Chinese and nothing was done, they have rules, but nobody enforces them
@@timgym6332 well the host of Hustlers still invited the Chinese players back didn’t they? I’m pretty sure Hustler need the players for views. Everyone who say Charles cant say shit clearly never have played higher stakes private games. This is NOT your usual 1/3 casino games, a lot of things you "cant" do in your 1/3 game, you can do in private games. If Charles sits in a random casino game where its open for everyone to join, no he cant do what he did. But this is a private game, not open to everyone, these games have less "rules".
I am not Team Pepe, but Pepe is absolutely correct here. You have to enforce the only-English rule. It’s been Hustler China Live for a year now. If you want to kowtow to the Chinese market at the expense of the US market, then do that. But you can’t have it both ways.
Pepe's right Once you're all in, you're not involved in the side-pot action and should not be saying anything about the action. Charles said, the other guy folded a better hand..... Tom commented that it doesn't mean what you might think it means, and Vertucci said he couldn't figure out what was going on. All those comment are insults to Pepe because they dismiss the VALID point he's making. It's simple, when you're not involved in the action you shouldn't be saying anything about the hand.
Pepe is right. When the flop came Charles & Professor were canoodling 'I got this' thus letting others know that they had a K or J. This would obviously affect or influence the side pot betting with possible tilt bets to come. Tom is an ambassador to the game with how he calmed things down with Pepe.
You can’t even get the situation right. They said “It’s me” and they say that ever flop even if they have nothing. So you are wrong on all accounts on your analysis.
Pepe is right. Who remembers the Marino AA vs KK hand where he starts chatting with action pending? No way he was saying things to make himself look weaker to try to entice action right? Maybe hustler should start enforcing poker rules...
I kind of understand where Pepe is coming from. Almost Everyone at the table speaks Chinese, Charles could’ve been relaying info to the other guy that only speaks Chinese, while Pepe doesn’t understand. A Misunderstanding but it’s worth reminding the Chinese speakers at the table to be careful what they’re saying to each other. Also, this commentator is awful pls don’t have him back
I dont understand why people are saiyng that Pepe was right... He is betting 31k with 55 on 4JK for 7K sidepot as a bluff i would assume, there is no way he thinks that pair of 4s or Ahigh would pay him so why is mad that charles could influence the action when speaking chinese? he was behind and he bet to much if he had some kind of plan. for example: if he had extremly good read that his opponet has some kind of pair like 77 on hand then he could bet small and then blast the turn and river for the sidepot.. or was he looking for value from Q10 specificly? Anyway, anyone with alteast two braincells could tell that Pepe was just looking for excuse to leave when he was up.. it could really bother him that they are speaking chinese and he could felt some kind of way that they speaked during the hand but he did no had a good hand anyway so thats highly unlikely
@@mrhumble2937he cares about charles potentially killing action. but he just explained how pepe was playing stupid with his hand and would have lost the side pot anyway. pepe got the other guy to fold already so why is he still complaining
To those new, he says That’s Me all the time. Most of the people at the table are playing for fun and the money means nothing to them because they’re loaded. This type of banter and fun is normal for those type of tables.
I'm 100 percent with Pepe for calling that collution out Charles should speak about his hand while action still remains showing his cards to other players saying 100 percent that's him.. might aswell say he hit a J or a K.. flip your card over was all that was needed like come on man.. broke every unwritten rule in the book.... don't speak about your hand with action remaining good for pepe to call them out on their bs
Pepe has a point. Conversation should stop in middle of hand. I highly disagree with the mandarin being spoken as some of the players feel slighted and it reeks of collusion. Just my opinion.
Charles is 100% wrong and Pepe is 100% right to complaint. In a multi-way all-in a small stack once all-in should keep quiet until river had been dealt and the action is closed. Now. I have observed over the years that many poker players and dealers have a Chinese background, and often speak between themselves in Chinese (Mandarin I presume), sometimes even during hands. Even if they discuss weather or food and no poker at all, other players can become uncomfortable, so I suggest they should speak Chinese as little as possible between themselves.
I’ve seen this a lot at the tables. Ppl who get too comfortable in a game they play regularly start breaking the smaller rules of the game because the floors are too weak to push them back and kick them out. Pepe is in the right, and Charles is cool but too prideful to admit he’s wrong
He didn't break any rules. This is a private game you have to be invited to and it's how the game has always been ran because its first for entertainment. People play on it because it gets lots of action but this is not at all the same as a floor game. It's like a friendly game between people at someone's house. Sure it may be bad ettiquitte but if you can't deal with that knowning it will happen as it does multiple times every stream at hustlers then don't accept the invite to play.

Charles was not out of line for this game
He could say the same thing when he has nothing, did not change the hand.

Kinda glad Pepe did this... I have had similar issues at tables and have been noticing alot of non english talk lately during hands between certain players.

Any one who plays poker, except the commentator, knows pepe is100, ,% right.
What makes you the judge of whether or not he should continue to play? Weird thing to say. No one has to play if they don’t want to. Obviously.
@@matta5749 i’m not judging him at all. It’s his absolute choice to cash out whenever he wants to.
I dont understand why people are saiyng that Pepe was right...

He didn't break any rules. This is a private game you have to be invited to and it's how the game has always been ran because its first for entertainment.
