Central Iowa Crop Tour!

- In this video I highlight a few of our farms. We're located in central Iowa. Most of the U.S. is experiencing moderate to severe drought. In our area things look pretty good, as a lot of people like to call it God's country, but I don't believe only showing the good. I take you on a tour of some of the not so great fields and show how they are doing in a "Moderate drought in God's Country."
"Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains." - James 5:7
We plant with a 9R 540 w/ Titan LSW 1400/30R46 tires. No compaction! We plant both 30" row corn and 15" row soybeans with it.
Looking awesome
Great tour , glad to see no Derecho damage.

Glad to hear your crops are going to good shape!
We farm in central Iowa as well. Thus far we are looking at potentially another record yield year. Which would be great to top the last couple years. Fingers crossed.
🤞🏻🤞🏻
Keep doing what your doing, crops look amazing!
Thanks for the crop tour have missed you guys 😊😂❤️🇦🇺
Thank you!

Awesome, thank you!
You guys have a beautiful farm! The crops look great. You guys keep everything cut and it looks amazing. By looking from the drone you are gonna have bumper crops this year and it couldn’t happen to a better family! Keep up the good work! And we will catch you on the next one. Thanks for sharing!!
Great video crop tour and very informative. Nice looking fields
Thanks 👍
Good video!! Enjoyed it!!
In eastern Nebraska where we were in the exceptional (dark maroon) drought. Everything in cover crop needed to be replanted. Truly a year it came true for those that say it pulls moisture
Yeah it can for sure
We farm in central Iowa too, we’ve been planting with fourwheel drive cases for almost 10 years now and never seen a difference from a fourwheel drive to a front wheel assist
Center fill? We're planning on moving from front wheel assist to 4wd next year on the planter too. 24r
What about on a wet spring? I know cant remember last time we had one. Maybe 2019?
We are getting 18 round by 35 long cobs in Manitoba...but we have to plant at 28k to get it... otherwise we typically get 14 round by 30 round when we plant at 32k on a 78 day hybrid.
Should be a pretty good crop here
Doesn't bother me that your no scientologist. Cornstar bores me to tears with all his details. I mean i know you know your stuff or you wouldn't have such good looking fields.
I know enough to know what I need lol. I push the pencil more
Hello from Indiana

Nice
It has been forever
Hard to believe that the derecho was only 3 years ago.
Only 3 years. Can’t believe it’s already been 3 years ago!
I think you have tar spot. Going to have to bee on top of that in the future
Yeah got sprayed with fungicide. Must’ve been too late
Might be tar spot on those leaves. Idk
I thought so too after doing some research. I’ve heard it’s been back around
👍👍 📷📸
I don't know when it is but you guys going to farm progress show?
Nope it’s in Illinois this year
@@mannfamilyfarms381 ok ty
👍 👀 🌽!!
Great content! Do you use precision planting and harvesting? I look forward to seeing how your crops turn out!
What was your biggest reason for wanting to try the 4 wheel drive?
It’s what we had, didn’t want to buy a 300k + tractor
4:19
Is that the building ur pouring concrete in?
No
Do you spray with fungicide
Yes we did and even on that farm. Might’ve been too late
Fungicide application is a tricky thing. Up here in Ontario I got it right on the corn but my soys and black beans are another story. Your crops look great. Tell me you’re doing things right. The rest is up to Mother Nature
Loos like tar spot
I believe you’re right
Looks like tar spot
