70000TONS.TV presents an exclusive recap of Day 1 on board Round 11 of 70000TONS OF METAL, The Original, The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise.
Sailors prepare to make their way to PortMiami, Terminal A, the Crown of Miami, where they will embark on the Ultimate Heavy Metal Vacation where they will be able to watch 60 world class Heavy Metal bands perform 120 concerts and mingle side by side with their favorite Artists. Our ambassadors of Heavy Metal, the Pool Team, greet Sailors, Artists, and Crew as they cross the gangway to step on board the Freedom of the Seas. Everyone is a VIP on board 70000TONS OF METAL, there’s no separation between bands and fans at our event! With 71 nations represented at our event we are proud to host the United Nations of Heavy Metal at Sea.
Our tireless crew members begin their construction of our crown jewel, the Pool Deck stage which is the Biggest Open Air Stage Structure to Sail the Open Seas, as well as preparing our other venues for concerts which begin right after we depart from PortMiami in the late afternoon. At the Royal Theater you can see that crew members have removed the seating in front of the stage because after all, who wants to be seated at a Heavy Metal show? We certainly don’t!
Sailors can grab a drink at one of the many bars on board, some of which never close, before heading to watch some spectacular shows as we set sail out of Miami, FL. Featured performances on Day 1 include: BATUSHKA, INSOMNIUM, KAMELOT, and KREATOR.
