As a regular hastings pakeha this is...something else... ashamed that i don't even know about the beautiful art, culture and community going on in Maraes across the country. i wish our cultures were better integrated, that we were able to mix Maori and Europe into something unique that incorporates the best of both people. i feel pain knowing the struggle so many young Maori feel, the mental health struggles throughout the community. I live in Finland now, it makes me happy when I listen to this song. It’s nice to see Te Aute college featured. My grandparent’s have passed on and their farm is still there in Te Hauke. This song reminds me of them :)
