Thank you! Like most comic folks, I could spend all day hunting in all the shops and their boxes, but I've got to balance that "kid approval factor" carefully 😂 Thanks for watching!
Untapped part of the community is actually opening up these encyclopedias or even anthology books because there’s artist renditions that you can’t find anywhere else! It’s great you showcased those Dave Stevens drawings I had no idea, but also happy to have that entire run. Encyclopedias were my favorite as a kid, so it was no different when DC did their Who’s Who line and Marvel had the Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe A-Z! Great vid!
I think I could have picked up close to the whole run there, but I also knew I had some at home, so I just snagged the ones I knew had Dave's art inside.
I got a book from John about a month ago with Dave Stevens art inside - he didn't have any covers for sale at the time. There is just something about his style that makes the work stand out. It also doesn't hurt that he drew the female form quite well too, lol.
Son/daughter school report on family vacation: "We thought we were going on a vacation. We soon realized we were on a wild goose chase to find places that had and sold funny books! 🤣
I noticed the Atari system with 4 controllers and 14 games, all for $50. That seems really cheap. I have some nostalgia for Atari because it was the first video game system I ever owned. On a side note I've seen some Tech UA-camrs take old broken systems and replace the internals with a Raspberry Pi. That way they can play everything from the Atari to the N64 and beyond.
I almost snagged that bundle, and probably should have. I already have two 2600 consoles, but not sure of either of their working condition, and I didn't figure I needed another, though this one did have a power supply with it, which I am currently missing. I've got a box full of games for it as well, and a handful of controllers to boot. I've seen those Pi builds, and I have one running an emulator with 1000's of games on it in a little case I made with my 3D printer.
I always enjoy going to antique stores and finding cool things
I know of a local spot that sells comics if you want to go buy them all 😉
Nice T-Shirt! Flea markets are a very fun way of passing a Saturday afternoon.

The Dave Stevens books are fantastic & I love how he draws his characters proportionately and with realism. Happy comic book hunting.
I agree - thanks for watching!
Cool shops you visited, I gotta get out to so flea markets and antique shops soon!
I remember one of the guys at Bronze and Modern Gods being a big fan of Dave Stevens. His art is appealing and catches the eye.

Richard is a HUGE Stevens fan - I just buy 'em up, press 'em and slab 'em!
Yep! I never pass one up :)

LOL. Pretty much! We let them have their fun too, don't worry! 😁
Inapak was apart of a major warehouse find, that is why it is relatively cheap.
Didn't know that, thanks for the info!
Favorite artist is Michael Turner. He did some great cover art on the Superman Batman series.
I'll have to check him out!
If you ever make a trip to Yosemite, clovis antique mall has some serious golden age and silver age books.
Thanks for the tip! Would be a nice vacation stop for sure!
John Byrne, George Perez & Bob Layton are my favorite artists since I’m a big Marvel fan.
All great artists in their own rights. Thanks for watching!

Nice haul man
Fun comic hunting video. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
The prices on some of the books in that 1st shop were ridiculously high!
Definitely. That's pretty common though with antique malls like that. Thanks for watching!
Dave Stevens art is incredible .
I agree! I just picked up 4 more of his covers this last weekend.
Ed Benes from red lanterns early issues. His characters have that mid 90s kick to them. Plus his women are flamming hot🔥
Thanks, I'll have to check him out!
Speaking of whos who. Keep your eye out for the first cover appearance of John Constantine
Good show😊
Thanks for watching!
Glenn Fabry cover art. No one is like him.
Thanks, I'll check him out.
