Michael wanted to be with Jane. Why didn’t he simply divorce Ashley? It is disgusting to make Ashley believe that both her husband and son died. What about the doctor and or hospital staff that told her that her family died? Are any of them going to prison for fraud?
Well while the cops think she hallucinated the detective was no fool has he did help her and find evidence despite the friends and ex thinking she was an imposter while they were the fraudsters,glad she did have her son back with the help of some people.
That detective would have a similar skills like Sherlock Holmes. I mean to be a detective is being a type that is willing to take on cases normal police would not accept. With a special type of detective, there is no way to create a perfect crime. With normal cops, people do take advantage of creating a prefect crime knowing that the normal cops won't look into the case.
All lies and deceit will be exposed, one way or another. It's a bitter pill to swallow to know that sometimes the ones you would take a bullet for, are the ones behind the trigger.

What happened to the doctor? Don't know about any place else, but around here, it takes 9-12 months to get a tombstone. Plus, there was no indication that the dirt had been disturbed. Unless she was in a coma for a long time, there should have been evidence of a newly dug grave. She also should have received death certificates for both of them.
