@@mariomulajapdgloyenge5051 Hope so! I listen to Zaïrois national anthem for inspiration because it is so calm and beautiful.
Even our National Anthem was cooler in that time XD!
I am one of those that remember back when the DRC was called Zaire. A lot of that had to do with being an NBA and one the best players in the league at that time being from there. Dikembe Mutombo
My Dad I’d from the D.R.C. Love from England 🏴❤️🇨🇩

"Do not let Banana fool you"
- Barby, 2016
I was born in the nineties but only know it as Congo 😂
+something random - Nah, I knew it as Zaire. ;-)
***** - Ooh. I see!
I remember it as Zaire too. Sounds better
JP B n
You probably didn’t pay attention in class lool
Samba is from the Congo too
Ok, I think Peadar took the same drug as Cyriak xD
XD
Haha
Agreed!
+SpektralJo gad I wasn't the only one thinking that.
Peadar is the creator of the animation at 0:43
Whoever's in charge of audio should step up their work.
It could be worse just go watch the Afghanistan episode
+eoin joyce it's true but this isn't even a hard fix, they just didn't pan the audio correctly after they realised they recorded in stereo
hi Democratic republic of conglo love you from India
*Congo
Love DR Congo from your brothers Far East ; Somalia :)
I'm from Bakongo tribe from Angola, I really love Congolese culture, food, dance. I wish I can visit it one day.
My gf was from angola, I couldn't agree more with you
Well, then if you don't mind I'm going to inform you that "bakongo" is a plural. So you, a single person can't be "bakongo", you're if anything mukongo.
Watching this in 2020. So informative! Couldn't find any good sources on this topic. Thanks!
Without Congo the electronic and phone should’t work because they own coltan and without it no electronic should work 🙏💪
10:27 you're soooo right!! My history class is sooo eurocentered
I love my country 🇨🇩 one day this country will be great, and we are working on it. We need to alway bring awareness on what is going.
You need to pray for it ! Only God can help us!
@@byamungusamuelnguma5577
We need to pray yes, but we also need action, business etc. We have a long way to go but i am confident that we will get there someday. DRC will become a tourist destination in the future 💚👍🏾
-Why won't anyone learn dutch?
/Because every time we talk in Dutch to you, you respond in English.
So very true. We instantly hear through your accent what your native language is and try to speak that.
Blood of those who fought for the freedom
Bloodshed of those who fought for the country
Blood of the ancestors who fought for the country
Same thing.
90's kid remembering Zaire makes you feel old!! I remember people talking about "Belgium Congo"!
🤣🤣
I know you said you wouldn't get into many details about the conflicts, but no mention of Patrice Lumumba? Really? Come on now, just showing a his face for a second with no mention to an audience you know knows little about the DRC's history, makes this video fall short
Da Kumite thank you! Long Live Lumumba!! 🇨🇩
We need to do away with this notion of personality cult, it breeds dictators. There is no reason to put "liberation leaders"on a pedestal. I am South African and we say all the time that Nelson Mandela should not be treated as a God, he was 1 member of a big grassroot movement, many people suffered more, lost more but remain unsung. To steal words from Ernesto Che Guavara "Liberators do not exist, people liberate themselves
you'll need 10 episodes for russian federation :p
We thought the same for China :)
Gℓʋѵɩćħツ no he won't. China was only 20 minutes. Russia will probably not be 20 minutes.
how about indonesia bro.
I am from the future and i assure it will be 20min.
It is 30 minutes.
12:00 You really see Tanzania as Africa's uncle XD
you have also mentioned it before as uncle
It's so cute ^^

I was not ready !
I really hope the Situation in the DR Congo improves immediately. .
this has to be the best video I found on my country. man you rock
My left ear seemed to enjoy the video more than my right ear.
+MetaKnight64 the right ear enjoyed the music
My left ear took all the music away from my right.
Congo: Our best friend is the other Congo
Angola: Am I a joke to you?
Tanzania & Zimbabwe: you gotta be kidding me, we sent soldiers to fight you wars.
@@RK7LifeLine Who ask you?
I'm Congolese and I'm glad someone made an informative video of my country❤
Funny story... I recently bought a large world map to teach my kids geography and was like, “wait, where the hell is Zaire?” Now I know...
What are you doing, Step Congo? 3:12
This is my favorite UA-cam video so far
it was almost a year ago since you did Bandiaterra for April Fools Day, and now one year later still on the Cs! So are we going to get to Zimbabwe by 2040?
+glennaldosf I feel the same
going to Congo in September and came to see this video as preparation :D
How was it?
The DRC definitely has everything to be one of the top 3 richest countries on earth.
Ah yes, Leopold II was notoriously hands off when it came to colonialism.
+meanmanturbo I see what you did there ;)
i feel bad for laughing
Zaire is a cooler name than DRC tho
though*
+DetroitBall who cares ?xd
+Nebula Mirage It Is Correct
DetroitBall My bad, in Spanish it's República Democrática del Congo instead of Democratic Republic of Congo, so I'm used to write it the other way around
Nebula Mirage Well, since it wasn't an error of grammar but one of translation I guess he isn't a grammar nazi. More like a language nazi
