I've had parakeets for 42 years. Our Rusty is 9 and half years old. I have never seen a parakeet with horns on their cere. Quite remarkable this little bird is fine. Love all birds. Parakeets are easy to raise show so much love when you give them your attention. Whenever I got a parakeet from the store, I always talked to the keets. The one that LISTENED TO MY VOICE is the one I picked. When you get home, they will listen to you. Talk sweet and they will eventually trust you and chirp like crazy when you are around. Good luck with your birds.
It's all about us ,isn't it? otherwise why would a winged creature lives in a cage, ironic isn't it? humans so intelligent and ultimate animals have to ruin the lives of other lesser (BRUTE)strong animals for their entertainment, sick taste for food, work everything, just look around and see what animals have to go through for humans!
I play videos like this on the Sabbath. I am a Hebrew Roots Christian who believes the Old Testament is still relevant to our lives. It says that on the Sabbath animals are not to be penned up. I can't let my parakeets fly around and get maybe hurt by the cat and so on. But I can make them feel less penned up by videos like these on the Sabbath. Shabbat shalom!
Where I live little birdies have to live in cages or they get eaten up by cats and other animals. This is a wonderful happy video and my bird absolutely loves it. So do I! I'm hoping mine will learn to sound just like this. He's a baby and still experimenting. Thanks so much for making this for people who appreciate a good thing when they come upon one among so many youtube videos. If you don't like it, go watch something else. Some folks think they know everything when they actually don't. THAT is very annoying. Thanks again for this cool example of a very happy and healthy bird family.
I just put this video on for PG and she hopped off to look at the phone it was so funny I feel with the few days I didn’t play with her she has lost some trust in me and to my teenage son could be a little rough with her and that really messes up my bonding with her because she fears him I’m thinking maybe I should just give her away to a more peaceful home my son doesn’t hurt her he’s just a little rough
it's either a over grown hormonal surge, as the females cere will turn brown when they are in estrus and ready to mate, or she has mites in combination with the hormonal brown surge.
@@davinattbaker1436 it doesn't matter the gender if it might be something bad. No doctor is going to ask what gender your child is if their nose has a huge bump on it. It doesn't matter.
-蝶Danny蝶- should not be crusty....Mine had it I used a little vasaline petroleum jell on cotton bud or finger tip and rubbed a bit onto the cere. It’s dry dead cells not exfoliating mine had been building up over its nasal cavity
"Listening to nature bird sounds eases sadness, anxiety and bad moods"..... Bull SHIT or bird shit.... if one is listening to this it is because they have birds and are using it to keep it/them company. Thes are not 'nature' birds but 'captive' & happy....... POPPYCOCK with your CC.....I've had birds 60 years.... I put a cover on the cage when they get vocal and demanding /won't shut up! They are company when desired.
putting birds in a cage and house is never cool ,birds fly and free and there's no limit where they can go,they are self sufficient don't need these wretched cruel human monsters..
@@mads7443 Budgies are wild birds? They are wild in Australia? Most birds do live in the wild, of course, and budgies are highly intelligent birds at that; I think they're able to get by just fine without getting eaten.
Good point depending on the owner. My bird does fly in controlled areas for safety. I provide music for her. Various settings including taking her outside in cage with me to get in nature. She loves singing and greeting everyone. She also has travel cage where she gets super excited when moved in as loves the car and we also take her large boat ( being careful of sun and wind) where she is thrilled to be at the marina. She lives an awesome life full of adventure mostly in her large cage. When out of the cage she prefers to sit on top or on my neck. We even move her cage to large night stand at night in the bedroom as she is part of the family. I believe she is happy and provides us joy.

Birds beautiful
These birds were born in captivity, they don't know any different...give them lots of love, food and exercise and they are happy. :)

@PAM where do you live ? Do you live in a house full of cats??? Those who love birds should not live with cats in the house.

Sorry for your heavenly loss. I hope you wonderful memories. There is always a bird that needs a forever home....
Awww, what's going on with the yellow girl's cere?
Kind of look likes she hasn’t been sharpening her beak 🤷🏻♀️

What is wrong with the cere of the yellow budgie, at the beginning?
Boring. It's a ten minute loop, repeated over n' over.
What happened to the little lady's cere?
it's either a over grown hormonal surge, as the females cere will turn brown when they are in estrus and ready to mate, or she has mites in combination with the hormonal brown surge.

The yellow budgie has a big cere is that normal
Yes also its a female females tend to have large even crusty ceres
