what about loveravenwood? I think she has amazing editing skills. I also watch amelia newcombe dressage but she's a proper dressage rider so there is no cringe!
You've produced him beautifully and carefully, good on you! This is so nice to watch because Khal is a prime example of a horse that isn't the most flashy or scopey-looking youngster but when given the time has blossomed into a very capable horse. Lovely to watch well done to you both x
It's lovely how sweet natured he is! He's obviously quite spooky but it's wonderful to see that he looks to you as his rider for confidence when he is afraid of something
Khal is such a lovely horse. You've trained him very well! I did feel bad for the poor baby when he spooked at you dad though! It was so sweet! He was just like "Oh God! Human! Don't hit!"
I have no idea how the heck you stayed on when he did that huge buck going over that jump. My goodness I most likely would have landed on my face!Being thrown off balance and trying to stay on while trying to get him not to run off, and at the same time getting him back to you. Wow! That’s a lot to do at the same time. You handle those situations so well.Khal is just a beautiful boy. You can see Fiona in him by the way he just locks on to the fences. Such a good boy!
You’re such a brave calm rider. Great job helping Khal build his confidence. You both worked hard and it’s paying off. Thanks, as always for sharing these inspiring videos of your path. I needed to see this today. 💗
OMG! I love this!! I love that when you are riding him at the beginning, the group of horses are at the gate watching :D In regards to BTV, I find many babies just play with the bit to start---and you can see his evolution of learning! What a clever, clever horse!!! When you came off, you could see poor Cal was just like 'OMG! Human!" after the jump and he just darted sideways. I wouldn't say he is afraid of poles--he's quite bold--I think he is just learning/was learning and not sure. I absolutely LOVE how balanced he is!!! Even got his leads!!
This has been so helpful to me I have brought on my now 5 year old since he was backed at 3. He has grown from 15.3hh to 16.2hh, we have just started going over some small jumps so it was great to see how you dealt with the issues I have encountered. Thank you for your time making and posting this x
holly ur an incredible rider with such patience and understanding for all types of horses, if i turn out half the rider you are ill be doing amazing xxx khal has came on leaps and bounds it’s crazy 😂😂 also those foal pictures killed me he’s absolutely adorable ❤️❤️😍😍🌟🌟
Bless him he tries so hard for you , what a lucky young lady you are to have such a gorgeous horse!! One of my favourite channels btw and have learnt alot!!
Try to keep your feet right under you, in line with your hips, and keep your weight down, otherwise if your legs are in front your feet will swing forward every time you rise to the trot
Stirrupless work. My instructor makes me do 10minutes every lesson (I have a lesson every day), and it’s helped me in the long run with my seat and my lower leg, because she makes me rise my trot without stirrups, which strengthens my lower legs.
I was always taught to end on a positive note I’m happy I heard you say that he filled out very beautifully he’s so quiet at such a young age, very lucky to have a wonderful willing horse I know you put in a lot of work into him but he came along really well very fast
This is the first video i see from you and i can see he's such a sweet horse and you seem to be like a very respectful rider. Im definitely subscribing:)
He's such a level headed 4 yo! I just started a series on my channel restarting my 4 yo (he was scared of leg aids which was fun lol)...Well done starting this boy can't wait to see you guys develop
wow what a journey! He looks so different throughout the video. I love seeing young horses to transform like that. Gotta make video like that about my youngster 😅
Really interesting to see your progression and how you tackled the problems you had along the way 😊 Nice to see someone using tack & aids in an effective way and not just for the sake of it
He's lovely! Nice to see a young horse being well ridden and not forced into an uncomfortable position. I saw that this Video was four years ago. Maybe you have some more recent ones?
Amazing work, you’re so good and what a nice horse and amazing journey! Well done and thank you for sharing this and giving us tips!! Take care, and good luck, I wish you the best! ❤️
What a beautiful video of your baby’s progress! It so much fun to see the progress of the young ones. You have inspired me to put together one of my baby, an adopted mustang I got as a yearling, she is 3 now.
OMG!HES SO CUTE!lol my OTTB just got off the track in February, I got him in March and he’s lazy too!I agree Lazy is so much better then a hot head lol! Khal’s a gorgeous horse you guys are lucky, he looks so sweet😍

It's a wonderful life if you let it be !Debra
OMG! Baby Khal photos! I am going to figure his breeding is Irish Sport Horse? Funny, how you say about his baby moments, but I've seen seasoned horses have those days in the show ring too--some days, we just have to accept it's not going well and return to some schooling and what a difference it makes! He is such a quick learner!! Thanks for sharing---may I ask, does your father breed for a living or is this something he has done more as a hobby? He seems to really love horses and it's wonderful to see!! Does your Mom ride too?
Please can you make a video on the steps before getting on and handling them when they’re much much younger? X I’m getting a filly and there’s no a lot of videos out there 😅
When going into canter, make sure you're going round a corner. When you do sitting trot going into the canter transition, move your outside leg back and put it on to engage the outside hind leg and strike off the outside leg into canter. Also, make sure your horse is bending the right way going into the transition not just flexing
what are you top 5 or 3 tips for braking a horse i am going to saddle brake a horse for the first time within 2 years so mabey the tips come in handy btw loved this video!
Hi I like your videos and how you show people what you doing with your young/older horses. I have a question which you could make as a video, and the question is. How to lung a horse to build up muscles on its back? The reason why I am asking is there's a horse I know that has back issues cause it gets ridden but in the wrong way. It's rider doesn't really ride the horse and when she does she does it in a way where the horse ends up back pain. I'm asking for myself as well just in case I ever get a horse in this simpler way. It would be really good if you could make a video for this question. ☺️
His trot extension is just so lovely to watch. He floats! Such a naturally talented guy!
Actually the only equestrian channel i can watch without cringing 🐴❤
what about loveravenwood? I think she has amazing editing skills. I also watch amelia newcombe dressage but she's a proper dressage rider so there is no cringe!
@@nala3055 never watched them, will check them both out 👍
Jade Alderson stephanie prince has a lot of go-pros and stuff !

Will give them both a try 👍
I like how he's like OH HECK NO I AINT JUMPING THAT... But I will still Jump... Just not that... like next to that... Just not that... :D
You've produced him beautifully and carefully, good on you! This is so nice to watch because Khal is a prime example of a horse that isn't the most flashy or scopey-looking youngster but when given the time has blossomed into a very capable horse. Lovely to watch well done to you both x

Bless him he tries so hard for you , what a lucky young lady you are to have such a gorgeous horse!! One of my favourite channels btw and have learnt alot!!
your lower leg is amazing! could you do a video giving tips to help with a lower leg?
Try to keep your feet right under you, in line with your hips, and keep your weight down, otherwise if your legs are in front your feet will swing forward every time you rise to the trot
Stirrupless work. My instructor makes me do 10minutes every lesson (I have a lesson every day), and it’s helped me in the long run with my seat and my lower leg, because she makes me rise my trot without stirrups, which strengthens my lower legs.
I thought her leg was moving way to much..

Have u got a video on how to get your horse on the right leg ? xx
When going into canter, make sure you're going round a corner. yes exactly what Nala 305 said, always make sure their head is bending towards the inside before asking for the canter
