@@rankinstudio Flagstaff is really getting slammed, we were there a couple days ago, it was pretty close to getting caught in run off from the burn scar.
@@barbaralucero2772 Glad you didn't! Those burn scar floods are something else.
@@rankinstudio we were there to help a friend get her horses out and get them to safety. I have never seen anything like that before.

Aravaipa is a beautiful hiking/backpacking area with side slot canyons.
I haven't been up to the canyons, plan on it soon!
@@rankinstudio I did it in October when temps cool and there was still plenty of water. Nice not to have to pack water. Lots of water crossings and plenty of good open camping spots. I do think you have to get a permit.
@@LisaFaiss you do have to have a permit to hike into Aravaipa Canyon. It’s a wilderness area, and the Bureau of Land management only allow so many people in a day. Dogs and drones are also prohibited in the Canyon.

Aaah, nice to see your videos again. Just fascinated by them. I grew up on a farm in a semi desert area of South Africa and enjoyed a couple of cloud bursts and raging torrents.
