The torque doesn’t change by using a different hole on the output arm. The FORCE changes. The multiplication of force and output arm radius is the torque, and it’s constant.
You can order the very same servo for around $13 for a dozen of them on Ebay. I use them in most of my planes and never had a failure. These are the best $1.00 servo that you'll ever find.
Same servos I use too! Awesome little buggars!
I like this test
Been using these for several years. The only time they have ever stripped is in a bad crash. Usually just the elevator servo. HK also sells the gears for these.
Good test.
I have this servo - no problem there. But I have searched HobbyKing extensively but can't find metal wire push rod material. Also there are accessory adapters to accept straight wire - so a bend is not needed at one end - can't find those either ! Has anyone been able to find these items anywhere ?
Carpenter Family paperclips work well
Funny to see HobbyKing use a 6 year old video review to advertise it's current products... Got any 128MB flash drives for sale too? lol (FYI, I just received this video linked in a HobbyKing email showing current servo offerings)
me too lol...!!!
What can go wrong? Your paying to much. That goes wrong. 95 cents or 9,50Euro for 10 servo's . That is how much i pay for those.
same
Remember its 1.6kg at 1 cm, measure your third hole and see if it is 1 cm from screw.
Good point. The third hole is 0.8 cm and the fourth hole is 1 cm from the center. Doing the math, it only outputs 0.87 kg/cm. He should have mentioned the supplied voltage and current draw as well to have some reference.
i buy 20 every 2 months what a tool
Where's the science? The servo is rated at 1.6kg.cm NOT 1.6kg. Measure the distance from the servo arm pivot to the servo hole used to hold the weight and multiply together. Then tell me if its within spec. And putting the weights out further doesnt prove anything more than the first test, done and calculated correctly , would.
Very good video? These are the videos that are going to build your channel up. You should also have SUBSCRIBER livestreams and do couple legit giveaways. I am going to put your name out through my channel. Watch your sub count jump, we have a the best Rc group on yourube. Come check us out, Pilot Ryan, usually joins us every livestream. He was Motion rc's test pilot for many years. Now he is in business for himself and now tests alm new product that comes to market. We are all his hangar rats and he is king rat.
Hobby King is having financial problems from what I hear. So time to sale servos....
Not surprised. The website went from great to simply grating. Customers kept telling them they were getting it wrong but they refused to take any notice. I stopped buying ages ago I hated the website so much.
@@howardgroos7603 I attended the AMA expo west last November in Ca Hobby King was one of the major sponsors and they didn't even show up!
What a load of crap! I have used these many times and they very often FAIL, the gears strip very easy.....you get what you pay for I guess.
Test truqué. L'accroche sur les servos n'est pas au même endroit sur les deux servos . NUL !!!!!!!!!!!
Hobbyking is garbage.
