Thank you WD for uploading my favorite show ever! Feels like a kid growing up again watching original overhaulin. Thank you for all the work yall do and we all truly appreciate it!
As a previous owner to a '90 300Z this one hit home. Absolutely love that Z. Love your channel, love your work, love your attention to detail, the info you provide on each vehicle and back stories to these cars.
Enjoyed every second of it! I graduated high school in 1987 (I’m 54) and was the time when, the only thing I read was Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Road & Track, etc. The comparisons between these, American and Europe sports cars were at every magazine. Nothing about sensible SUV. This brought back amazing memories, thanks!!
This was by far the most satisfying car detailing to watch ❤ And may I add, I really like the kind of real-time, live footage cleaning where you clean the car and don’t accelerate it recording or edit out the sounds. Very, very nice!
What a totally sweet transformation on the outside, looks amazing. Nothing screams 80’s more than a car with a factory equalizer. These cars were incredible.
I normally don't like the music covering the raw sounds of the wash process, but I'm digging the pseudo-Miami Vice soundtrack...very appropriate for this generation of Z!
Just imagine cruising through Miami in one of these back in 1988. Top off, Miami Vice theme song bumpin, on your way to a neon nightclub in a pastel sport coat. These cars and the Maxima SE with a stick were it. Same motor I believe (I could be wrong). Nissan made a great product back then. The drivetrains would outlive the body most of the time. WDD always bringing the memories alive. Thanks fellas. 👍🏼👍🏼
That's a great vid. We bought the original Z car from new in 1972. Revolutionary, blowing away the competition for looks, quality, performance, the lot.
My first car back in 1994 was an 84 300ZX 50th anniversary edition. Mine was a 2 seater, automatic with overdrive, light blue exterior with the steel wheels, grey and blue leather interior. Really sharp looking car even though it was already ten years old when I bought it. I would always get compliments because of how unique it was and you really didn’t see too many of them on the road where I lived. The second generation 300ZX was becoming more popular by that time. Another cool feature I had was the digital dash package with the onboard computer that talked to you. A womans voice would tell you if your door was ajar, gas cap was open, headlights up or down, possibly fluids and some other things. It’s been decades so I don’t remember exactly what else it said. There was also a built in compass and MPG on the dash in those two circular looking gauges but mine never worked properly. It was ahead of its time, and a fun car for sure but I eventually sold it pretty cheap because of some intermittent engine problems that could never be pinpointed. The guy I sold it to said he planned on making it a race car and I often wonder if it’s still around. Great job on the detail and thanks for the memories!
Its great that a responsible person took good care of the 300ZX. Not a desirable model but still very nice. A blast from the past for a taste of the eighties. I'm also impressed how the paint was returned to factory shine. Gentlemen at WD, great work! And I can understand how you've enjoyed not detailing a rat, mouse infected, moldy vehicle.
Hey guys one tip. For stains that you can't get out, try plain Dawn liquid dish soap. It's gotten buffalo sauce and red Gatorade out of our beige carpet. Love the channel!
I have owned both a 280ZX and a 300ZX (1986) Turbo both fond memories. The wheels were designed to give airflow to the disc rotors for cooling. Mercedes as well featured that design. Keep up the great work fellas.
Perfectly preserved! That paint turned out so nice. No surprise there, y’all are magicians when it comes to bringing cars back to life. I love how you guys are partnering with other enthusiasts as well! Keep the videos coming 👍
What an awesome car! A gym buddy of mine has an 87 300ZX, 36,000 miles on it, he bought it new. It looks absolutely showroom mint. I have done some maintenance work on it, and I'm almost afraid to touch it it's so pristine. Great content here!
I could see a JDM fanboy walking into that barn and busting into tears of joy! Another excellent video. Also, If you think that interior is overwhelming you should see the 300ZX with the digital dash. Crazy stuff for the time.
Nice to see how much your work and expertise have improved and grown since you began! Great Job, and very Inspirational to those just starting a Career in the detail Industry.
🎉🎉 30 mins of pure escapism! Thanks guys. Been following u forever and will continue to admire your work. If only you'd detail boats 😂 Fancy a trip to Vietnam?
Excellent work! The 90’s Toyota MR2s had T tops. Also I def wanted a 300ZX for years. Settled for a first gen G35 Coupe and it was a blast. Good times.
The music reminded me of the late 80's, 90's with the funky synthesizer sounds and I could help but think of the movie The Neverending Story, Rocky or Beverly Hills Cop 😊 great video thanks WD team for all you do. Your videos definitely help me get through the mental toughness of rehab from my injury.
Hey guys I would like to thank you for these videos I teach me a lot. Because of you guys I bought a pressure washer, the brushes that goes on the drill and a foam canon. I stepped up my game of cleaning my own vehicles so thank you
Just over 20 years ago I had an 84 300Z, it was the most plain Jane version you could get with absolutely diddly squat for options. Was such a blast to drive and would love to find another someday.
My auntie had one just like this whenever they first came out with this generation with the backseats. Some of those had the digital dash cluster awesome 👌🏽 job on this detail.

I just love the Nissan 300ZX
The difference after you buffed the hood was striking. Nice job!

Greeting from another Steve Smith. 😀
I appreciate including some more of the raw footage with sounds, the sound of the detailing is very relaxing, especially cleaning the interior.
That Z is going buried treasure, so great found, what a timeless car.
love the 80s synth, nice choice of music
Finally a car that truly shows off your skills.
Well done lads

Blown away just how beautiful the 300ZX came out. My son's favorite car. I have a 2005 350-Z convertible, very similar red color. Love these cars!

I had one of these in my teens years. Loved it.

Cassettes are odd to you. Jeez, these kids today, lol 😆
Imagine if it was a 8 track 🤯🤣
😅
@@jstoli996c4s Lets go WAY back- imagine if it was magnetic wire!
My brother had a 73 Mach 1 Mustang with a 8 track player. Practically needed a suitcase to carry the collection
😂
Cassettes? What’s that?
Finally, a genuinely cool car.
Oh wow. I haven't seen that generation of the 300zx in a long time. Great job on the detail
Great job as always guys but also kudos to the previous owner that kept that car in an amazing condition!

Buenas tardes, un bonito e interesante video, un gran trabajo, ❤ 👌👍💪🇪🇦
I like how the music matches the 1987 vibe! Awesome 300Z! Those were the best of times!
Brings back memories of my 85 300ZX. Not sure if that one talks to you but mine did. Very cool video
Hey guys I would like to thank you for these videos I teach me a lot. Because of you guys I bought a pressure washer, the brushes that goes on the drill and a foam canon.
I stepped up my game of cleaning my own vehicles so thank you
I was and still big fan of these cars, my first Nissan was 1984 a Duston 200 SX, I always wanted 300ZX but never can afforded it.
Man, this was my dream car back in high school. I’d love to own it. Would definitely be a dream come true.
Very rad interior. Miss the old head units with slider equalizers!
That is so one of my dream cars. Wow. You guys did a phenomenal job.
This video was spot on, guys!!
Keep them coming like this one.
Turning down the music and letting us hear the cleaning sounds was some great ASMR. Do more of this!
Awesome vid🙀

Just over 20 years ago I had an 84 300Z, it was the most plain Jane version you could get with absolutely diddly squat for options. Was such a blast to drive and would love to find another someday.

Guess we’ll never know what this said
My auntie had one just like this whenever they first came out with this generation with the backseats. Some of those had the digital dash cluster awesome 👌🏽 job on this detail.
That shop is amazing! I’m in Harrisburg so Pittsburgh isn’t far from me. One of my favorite detail videos to date! 😄
The ‘84 anniversary and the ‘86 turbo were my favorite for the 300 series. I had both and regrettably sold them years ago.
You should’ve seen these with the digital dash layout. You talk about ahead of its time.
this car is amazing, i wish pop up light were still a thing tbh. the red paint is amazing, i love how it turned out so shiny
