Its nice to see Honey comforting and supporting Billy. A lot of the focus has been on Jay and what he's going through but Billy's grief is just as deep. Honey's the only person that acknowledges his pain.
Eastenders did a marvellous storyline with Lola's illness and her death. There were some wonderful performances by some terrific actors, but Kudos to the performance of the actors that portrayed Lola and her husband. I do not cry very much at stories like this, but this hit home for me as my parents passed away from cancer.

So he does have Lexi … but he lost that family unit w him and a partner and a child he so wanted. Cause no matter how close he is to lexi? He’s still missing experiencing that with a partner
This episode's clips were tough and emotional to watch, but I am glad to see the re-establishing of the bond between Ben and Lexi. After Ben being distanced by Lexi for the past few episodes, it suddenly seemed to be Jay's turn? Jay standing alone away from the crowd is definitely foretelling a potential crash and burn now that Lola's funeral is over and he can no longer spend all day at the chapel accompanying her....
I feel that Jay is gonna become angry at Ben for wanting Lexi to live with him and that Ben is gonna also start falling apart again now that everything with Lola is over. We have already seen that he is starting to spiral into an eating disorder but I imagine he has been hiding it because of trying to stay strong for Lexi for the funeral but now that the funeral is over and normal life will start resuming again Ben will start spiralling again and fall apart. This all happened because of what Lewis did but he wasn't able to properly process that because he had to put his focus on Lola and her illness and her passing and funeral but now that Lola is gone He needs to properly deal with and process what he went through.
On US Soaps when a character dies, they almost always have a Black Character sing many of which have ties to Broadway. One beautiful Funeral was on Another World where Ronnie A Nurse sang "Precious Lord Take My Hand". On other funerals songs like "You'll Never Walk Alone", "God Bless The Child" and even Amazing Grace was played.
You need to realise that he was married to her mum and that Lola requested that he and Ben both share the responsibility for Lexi. It was mentioned in a recent episode 🙄 Jay is a better dad cos he’s never run out on Lexi.
Exactly. I mean Lola got pregnant by Ben not Jay. And had Lexi with Ben not Jay. And as far as Jay. Yes she got pregnant by Jay but she aborted that baby. Because she was thinking of Ben not Jay. And then Ben yelled at Lola for aborting Jay's baby because of him. So why can't Jay chill out and try and help Ben and Callum out as well. Because Ben has had Jay's back why can't Jay do the same.
Jay isn’t remotely acting this way in these clips. Lexi is mostly attached to Ben at the hip. She’s seen w honey a bit too. But mostly Ben. I’ve had issue w the way the show has made jay act during some of this. But not here
