This is Prince's "guide vocals" unreleased version of the Patti Labelle track on her Burnin' album. Enjoy! All rights reserved; it belongs to Prince and Labelle.
Interesting fact: the song was originally intended for Rosie Gaines' proposed album Concrete Jungle, which later developed into Closer than Close. Beyond Prince's 'guide' version, however, it is not known if Rosie Gaines recorded lead vocals for the track. (From Prince Vault website).

Patti LaBelle did a wonderful job on this song but I'll tell you this might be one he should have kept for himself
That is the one thing I will say about Prince. He was definitely generous with his music. And I agree with you. If I was Prince, I probably would have kept this for myself too.
