Great stuff, im 60 and can rememver seeing the aupairs, lets not be agist, i love music from all generations, keep rocking all you young and all you old👍
OMG, the Aupairs. I haven't thought about them in 30+ years. Thanks for reminding me. So much in that time was positively sparkling. I'm glad "the kids" are still experimenting. Makes me feel not so bleak about the future.
Saw them in Philly last night- incredible performance. They can back up their songs live just fine especially for a trio- super tight and very well rehearsed.
People always say a song has “it’s own sound”. Meanwhile they can probably name 5 bands easily (if you listen to post punk) that sound like this-which doesn’t devalue Horsegirl I might add.
Lyrics slipping away, I call it up and downtown Now feeling up is following me 'round (with me, please) In the back of the barn, in the back of the yard In the front of the town In the back where it's far away turning away, can't make it out, out loud Now feel a fever flow though the town (with me, please) From the dance in the hall to the planets' control Through the boy in his band and on no one at all (with me) In grey it's always up or down, left, right Accounting for the never uptight Dance, dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance, dance with me slipping away, I call it up and downtown Now feeling up is following me 'round (with me, please) In the back of the barn, in the back of the yard In the front of the town In the back where it's far away turning away, can't make it out, out loud Now feel a fever flow though the town (with me, please) From the dance in the hall to the planets' control Through the boy in his band and on no one at all (with me) In grey it's always up or down, left, right Accounting for the never uptight
Surf Curse drummer on freaks 4yrs ago live is PUMPED, SUCH a phenomenal wave of music ROCK MUSIC finally coming from all over, every corner of the globe!
Everybody has their nostalgic 90’s groove memory from various places being activated by this exciting group. Mine is Canadian east coast 90’s. What a happy discovery!
Reminds me of the indie scene from the 80's//90's, blows the pop charts rubbish out of the water. John Peel would be very happy with all these great young musicians coming along.
In my late teens and 20s I used to love discovering new bands and being so excited about their music. I haven't felt that way in years, but I did when I discovered Horesegirl a couple months ago. I guess it's the whole "lighting in a bottle" thing; you've got it, or you don't. Horsegirl's got it, and then some. So. Good.
Reminds me so much of droning 90s alt rock, right up my alley. This is pure fire, so nice to hear people taking that style and doing new stuff with it. Wish love to see this band play live.

After this absolute masterpiece, I watched a couple of other videos of yours and the "What's In My Bag?" bit. You're like the coolest people I've seen in a long while. I hope I get to see you play live one day, hopefully here in Finland.
Wow and infinite wow! Saw these guys at DC9 last night and they are pure joyous noise and electricity. Love how people are keeping the guitars burning - hope they continue to explore noise and have fun and don't peak too soon. But, they definitely are not just hype - amazing set!
I really love this. Reminds me of early Silversun Pickups.
i think the same, maybe ¨ Lazy Eye ¨ right?
I don't know why YT randomly recommended me this.
But it's right up my alley.
Sounds painful
Same!! I'm in love with the singer's hair!!
@@kidinthecloud Grow up.
Same
so you do know why.
I hope these ladies succeed and prosper
Finding great music groups out of nowhere is like finding crystals in the sand. *Absolutely awesome.*

De las mejores soundtracks ❤️🩹
I love how the two vocal parts operate not only as a harmony, but even more as two parts of one linear melody.

I am 53 and I love finding new music like this that is just candy to my ears.
OMG, the Aupairs. I haven't thought about them in 30+ years. Thanks for reminding me. So much in that time was positively sparkling. I'm glad "the kids" are still experimenting. Makes me feel not so bleak about the future.
I like that this band feels like a band and not just a singer-songwriter with session musicians... Sounds like teamwork.
Agreed. Far too many of today’s indie acts are the latter. Not that that kind of thing can’t be good too. But it’s good to have great new a real band.
All the stuff on Goner sounds like that too me
Will Byers on the drums killin it
Hahaha was thinking the exact same
Saw them in Philly last night- incredible performance. They can back up their songs live just fine especially for a trio- super tight and very well rehearsed.
Whattttt I had no idea they were in Philly, can’t believe I missed it :(
@@dizzyizzy919 They were in Philly again last night, hope you made it!
IT'S THE TWEE VOX!
good stuff, I agree
I hope it gets recognised as a true classic.
I'm digging this song..... Liz Phair, Lush, and The Breeders.......
This has a bit of sonic youth in it, but is pretty much it's own sound. well done.
i was just about to sayy!!! its giving no wave post-punk
reminds me of interpol too but ye still uniqure

Yes Sonic Youth but also early Smashing Pumpkins, Kings of Leon and more than a little Silver Sun Pickups .

Gives me hope for the future.
Ever since Nick Knox with the Cramps I have not seen a cooler drummer. Cool as in: deadpan, unmoved, just plain cool. Great band!

Grew up listening to Athens, GA bands in the late 70s and I swear I hear some Pylon and early REM in their sound. Love it!
hell yeah to the other horsegirlies out there
The youtube algorithm doesn't always recommend good things to me. But when it does, it strikes GOLD. This is great.
Yep its Love.
They're touring.
Might have to check the album release at Thalia Hall in June
Thanks to their parents who encourage & influence them to play real music!

Can’t remember anticipating an album so much. These young ladies are brilliant.
There are lots of influences but they make it their own.
First time hearing this band, such a vibe! really like it.
Unexpected discovery. Cool cool.
Brings to mind the sounds of 80’s post-punk and 90’s indie rock. Kept my attention for the full video.
Another great new find ... for me.
