As per Hinduism, the description of Ishwar-
He is older than time. Actually he created time. He is shapeless, colorless, odorless and has no gender and some physical property which can describe him. He can be described only by om, the supreme sound. He is very complicated. He lives in every atom, inside me, inside you, everywhere. He is the universe himself. He is neither a god, nor a demon, nor a human, nor anything else. He is just an energy which can be felt. Body is something mortal. But the main soul is immortal. Each soul is connected to this energy in some way or other. Every thing origins from Ishwar and ends up inside him. Every soul originates from it too. They take births and are judged by their karma. If in a life, they fulfill all their dharma (responsibility) and have good karma, then they escape from the cycle of birth and rebirth and attain moksha (salvation) and attain the supreme abode, they remerge inside the Ishwar. Also Christianity started increasing during the year 1531 without the help of the jesuits because of the apparition of the Virgin Mary. That many indigenous people converted when they seen the miracles that happened and there would be like 2000 baptisms a day . The indigenous did it without others telling them to do it. Yes they are cases in which some was force. But force conversion to Christianity in Mexico wasn’t really the harsh compared to many other countries

Over 90 % of Indigenous Mexicans died because of Spanish persecuting them , Spanish diseases , and Forced Conversions.
Mexico however accepted christainity much more peacefully than other tribes.

There are many priests that advocated the liberty and rights of natives in Mexico. The English settlers didn’t care of the natives. They wanted to expand and gain the whole continent even if it meant displacing many natives out of their homeland. The Portuguese still practiced slavery.

The Spanish considered native american cultures to be inferior and actively tried to convert them.
The Spanish encouraged marriages between Spanish colonists and Native Americans in order to reduce the indigenous population and to impose Spanish culture.
Mestizos were then isolated and alienated from ther traditional and indigenous culture.
You probably heard this from an ultra Christian Spanish nationalist.
Forced conversions were not very common but the Spanish actively tried to convert natives.
They shunned Native American culture and would ultimately ban even their languages.
Spanish missionaries even went as far as to declare Maize and Chocolate as food of the devil or inferior food and shunned them until they realised their European crops wouldn't grow on America.
The communities established by Jesuits were not saving natives.
Those communities promoted Christianity and discouraged indigenous culture and wanted natives to adopt European way of life.
While you're correct there wasn't a significantly large force conversions, Native Americans were constantly discouraged from practising traditional religions and were discriminated, that's also technically "forced" conversion.
The Spanish also read to Native Americans the Requerimiento which showed their divine right to conquer Native Americans leading many to think Spanish were right because they won.
That miracle part is purely a constructed story aimed at justifying the horrible part Spanish colonists and monarchy had in the conversion of their colonies to Christianity.
But some natives never let their traditions and religion disappear and still live.
When Spanish come they weren’t as violent as the British. There were two groups of Spaniards that come. The jesuits and the colonizers. The jesuits and the colonizers didn’t have great relationship because each one had different goals when it came to the indigenous people. The jesuits would build these communities in which slavery and violence would not be allowed but would teach about religion. While the Spanish who weren’t part of the jesuits would treat the indigenous bad.
Jesuits never physically harmed natives but mentally did, by discouraging their culture and religion and their way of life.
In short, both were nowhere near good but the Jesuits were a little better than Spanish colonists.

“And those who have earned evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed is the like thereof, and humiliating disgrace will cover them (their faces). No defender will they have from Allah.
