I’ve just ordered the Tamron 35-150 and a Sony 16-35 f2.8 to cover pretty well everything with only 2 lenses in my bag. Looking forward to testing them out - thanks for this review.
I've shot multiple events with the Samyang 35-150mm paired with Zeiss 16-35mm. I never felt like I need any other lens for what I do, but looking at the 28-105mm makes me want to switch.
Thanks for the interesting video. I recently changed my setup from the Sigma 24-70mm and Sigma 17-28mm to the Tamron 20-40mm and 35-150mm. While the image quality of the Sigmas was superior in many aspects...sharpness, low-light performance, colors, and especially focus (with the Sigmas, it was rare to have anything out of focus)..I find that the Tamrons miss focus more often. That said, my new setup offers much more flexibility 😅, though it does come at the cost of overall image quality. (Just my personal opinion!)
So I did use the 35-150 for a while but I really needed image stabilization since I do hybrid and I like the compressed telephoto look at 150. So I switched to the Tamron 70-180 v2
I’ve been thinking of trading the 35-150 for the 70-180 v2 as well. Can you tell me your experience with it? Some people have complained about the stabilisation in it creating jittery footage. How is the sharpness? Taylor mentions that mist filter effect at 35mm f2.0 on the 35-150, which I noticed too. Is that present on the 70-180? Cheers in advance
i have the samyang equiv. My hand or should I Say my whole arms cramps after a whole day of shoot. but it is worth it but I have to switch to tamron in the future,
I laughed at the (rhetorical) question about using a 35mm prime AND a zoom that starts at 35/2, because I'm there, too. When I realized I was doing this, I was momentarily puzzled. But, in a reception or other close quarters indoors, I often switch from my 20-40 and 35-150 to 24/35/85 primes on three bodies because each camera is lighter, apertures are bigger, and I don't need as much reach. FWIW, I have the Samyang 35-150, and it's very sharp wide open at 35mm. Its only real optical weakness is susceptibility to veiling flare with large areas of very bright backlighting. How's the Tamron in this regard?
I do not think you reviewed Sigma 28-45 f1.8. Wonder what is your take on that lens. Do wedding photographer actually would use that lens. I personally feel the use case is very limited.
I have a 35 150 becausenof you, Taylor 😂 i love it. But something that boder me is that it isnt sharp enough... Obviously you cant have both of long range and sharpness at same lens with 1,4k dol. I have to put 70 on Sharpening in LR and when work with sigma art 24 70 2.8 of my twin brother, my mind mind almost explods with how much details have on in 😢😂
Ok, o thought it was just me. The Tamron is so soft and underwhelming to me. I tested the Sigma 28-105 and it’s so clean and the images punch SOOC. So many ppl love the Tamron and I’m just trying to make myself see what they see.
I have the tamron 20-40 f2.8 and the 35-150. I carry them everywhere I go!

These are the only (2) zooms I own, they pair together perfectly. Enjoy!

That Tamron's basically unbeatable. It is a bit heavy though.
Hit the weights
Lighter than carrying a 35, 50, 85, & a 135 tho lol

I have Samyang 24mm 1.8 + Samyang 35-150 for wedding video (A7iv + A7c2) all day long MIST 1/4
Was great seeing you in Lisbon at WUN! We just acquired the 35-150 Tamron for our Nikon Z8 and we are loving it!
Happy to hear you’re loving it!

When it comes to zoom, Tamron understands the target audience and has the technical resources to spec it out on a lens at a great price.
Miss my 35-150 😢 had to replace it with 70-200GMII for sports requirement
Is the 70-200 GMii better with image quality bro?

Hello! I chose Nikon Z 24-120 for weddings. What is your opinion about this lens? It would be great to watch a video of your work on this lens.

Personally I’d rather just use a 35mm prime. It’s cool they did a full frame zoom at 1.8 though
Right, unless it is significantly less weight.
hey, great video! would you say for video is the tamron better or the sigma? weddings and other events primarily.
Depends on your preferences. If you have a camera that does 4K in crop mode as well the 28-105 might be my preference for video

Love my Tamron 35-150mm. It is my go to lens for weddings and some family sessions or events.
Not that it affects iq, but does dust tend to get inside the 35-150?
I have had mine for almost 3 years now. No dust inside.
@@talhashah phew
Love this lens, my most used lens other than my primes.

Rất mong chờ Tamron sẽ ra mắt ống kính sony 24 135 f 2.8 với giá 1700 usd với chất lượng kinh ngạc.
LensTip reviewed both. Tamron is sharper.
This is good to know. But a lot or a small margin?
@TaylorJacksonPhoto nope.
you inspire me man visit India. I am from Mysore, Karnataka, India, Asia ❤
Just get both like i did. If i did weddings though I would go with the 35-150.
