  • Here I go over how to use the Bissell Little Green Pet Pro Portable Carpet Cleaner. This is an updated version of the little green machine.
    It has a couple different versions. The only difference are the attachments it comes with and the color of the handles. The core machine, motor, specifications and everything else are the same.

    I just bought one of these and had to watch this before I could use it as the makers 'instructions' if thats what you can call them are not only useless, they actually make working out how to use even more difficult - total rubbish, why on earth would you sell such a brilliant machine and then not tell people how to use it! thank you for your REALLY helpful video

      @@MyProjectWeekend I've only used it once when my new rescue dog peed on the carpet and was well impressed, odour has completely gone and carpet as new. I did find it quite 'physical' tho and we're in the middle of a heatwave in the UK so will wait until it cools down a bit to use it again as I have plenty of areas it's needed!

    I’ve had this vacuum for a few years now and it’s still going strong. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was cleaning it today and thinking about how much I love no bags to buy and that it comes apart for easy clean up. When I first purchased it we had two dogs and a cat and it kept up well. The suction was great then and still is now. I’m always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up, it works better than any other vacuum I’ve had for pet hair. The attachments are handy and work well. It’s easy to use with arthritic hands. I just had to come write a review because I’m still so pleased with this purchase.

    Excellent demonstration
    Would like to see how the power cord wrapped up…
    I wish it had a built in heater or power steamer… although it’s used by close hand at the nozzle end they probably won’t had a hot steamer because lack of consumers self responsibility. I love my yellow steamer that I can add water to while still running and hot… and I’ve never gotten burned but it sure is the best machine to clean my fridge and pet clean all other areas I use it in everything I’d use a washcloth on.
    Anyway
    Thanks for the demonstration
    I think pets is a nice way of saying kids goopy messes… especially the stomach flue in the night… the spot containment thing would be awesome for kids stomach flu season alone…

I very much appreciate finding out the clear tops of included attachments are not meant to be removed (and why) for cleaning. when hair, dog poo or whatever gnarly bits gather - THANKS TO YOU...I use the solution infused water I've primed out (making sure I'm applying warmest water to filthy area to be cleaned) into a container to pull through attachments intermittently. no waste. no speedo. no socks with suspenders.

    Excellent "how to" video. Just got my first spot cleaner and had ordered "carpet shampoo" to use with it, but after reading the manual, they are saying carpet shampoo should not be used because of foaming. You'd think it would be OK when these are just "mini carpet cleaners", and a shame they failed to mention it on the Amazon page or give recommendations. I've now got to return the bottle, unless I could add fabric conditioner to counter the foam?? Not sure what to do.

    I like your videos with the fact that you let it set for a bit and turn the machine off and agitate it for a bit then you suck on the stain/solution. I've seen alot of videos that they are quick to spray, agitate and suck up right away. I think you need to let it sit for a few minutes after you scrub it back and forth. I have a Yorki/Maltese that is almost 11 years old and he has incontinece issues and can't hold it all day while I'm away for work. He has been potty trained and then quit using the pads so you have me sold on this machine. As I have watched several videos on small spot carpet shampooers and this is what I'm going with. I use to have a huge Hoover smart wash machine and after 2 years even thought I clean it out after each use it started blowing out black smoke from the motor. Amazon wont let me return in and the local dealers said it's more money to fix it than the $199.00 that I spent for it in the beginning.

      I have an old cat who pees and throws up on my carpet and I've found that the best way to clean is to spray, agitate, leave for a few mins, then spray while sucking it up till it's just slightly damp. I then leave it 24 hours and go over again with just water to rinse any left over solution on the carpet which means it has had plenty of time to work. End up getting alot more dirt out that way I've found!

    You can just open the head. I've seen it in other vid. You pull from the bottom with 2 tabs. Just pull with your fingers. it is designed to be opened apparently.
    I dont have one yet but I am looking to get 1558 pro.
    What formula from bissel would you recommend for couches and chairs? Like computer fabric chair and car upholstery

    I had to throw this machine away last week. The problem with this one is that you cannot replace the hose and I not only had mold growing in the hose but there was a hole in it also. I did a LOT of research and even contacted a representative from Bissell, who told me I could not replace the hose. So a $200 machine had to be tossed. NOT happy about that!

    • @dmatich
      @dmatich Місяць тому

      Hmmm. I had a vacuum cleaner store replace the hose for me as it had split. Under the 2-yr warranty so it didn’t cost a dime.

      Thanks Drew. Purple handle, but I have called Bissell, and they are sending me the missing piece. Problem solved! I just have to wait another ten days to use my new machine. When I do, I will come back to your video! :) @@MyProjectWeekend

    Can this machine be used for an entire couch that has pet odor (purchased the couch secondhand, and did not realise how much it smelled!!).

    • @MyProjectWeekend
      @MyProjectWeekend  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes! I’ve used it on couches, chairs and car seats. Depending on the fabric it might not suck up as much water though, so just keep that in mind. Here’s a video I did cleaning my chairs. It’s a different Bissell cleaner but the Spotclean would work the same! How to Clean Chairs Couches Fabric Upholstery and more with the Bissell Little Green Machine

    Yes, the Bissell carpet cleaners work, but they don't last. The hose breaks after a year or so, and then the carpet cleaner is useless. I will purchase one again once they fix this problem.

      Yes this works for all types of stains and messes! They have different models that come with different attachments based on your needs. 9 times out of 10 you can use the standard tough stain tool that’s included with all models.

    Why dump out the unused cleaner? Just get a funnel and pour the cleaning solution into a clean plastic milk jug. And when you need it again, just put it back into the machine.
