I eat there often. If you’re not sure what you want when you set out, don’t worry, they have everything you could think of.
The choice is incredible like you said
For 5 dollars USD you'll get what you want. In the end. Dietitian requirements.
One tip. Don't get your toes caught in the escalator. C'mon sense I suppose.
Thinking of better pumpkin soup container. They leak everywhere. Cheers.
@@Buzzinpattaya i been there many times but i think the food court at beach road end is cheaper more thai 👍
I think there's about 45 ish baht to the British pound at the moment. Therefore you've just paid about £12 for that meal which is frankly, shockingly expensive for Pattaya. Also a punnet of strawberries in the South of England are about £3.50. When are you moving back?🤣
Hell will freeze over before I move back lol
@@Buzzinpattaya Evidently you have your criteria 😉😆
We need you like hole in the head bar bus to put it up from 10bt to 20bt lol😊
Stop being a scrooge LOL
Nothing 10 bht from Soi Diana to Soi honey but 20 bht I would walk
This food court was great a couple of years ago with reasonable prices (50 to 60 baht). Now it's transformed into a tourist trap and you can't find meals under 100 baht. And then a service charge in a food court? The best and reasonable priced food court is Pier 21 in Terminal 21.
Cheers mate
sorry Trev, have to disagree. Tops is not cheap. Its one of the most expensive, and as you found out, the hidden charges are a rip off. Same as in some other places that I wont mention. But yes, the food is good. But equally nice other places. In my opinion you cant beat the Sizzler salad for 139 baht....
Will check sizzler out mate
@@Buzzinpattaya Monday to Friday only for the salad deal
It's 199 baht now weekdays and weekends, gone up.
Go meet up with Walkabout Wayne,he's in town from chiang mai. I think he's feeling a bit intimidated. He needs bucking up👍
What are you talking about exactly. 20cents 2 dollars or blah la blah
Oh just what Pattaya needs....more beer bars! Good luck to Las Vegas!
Lol
No we need more girls.
You can never have enough beer gardens with older, less attractive, fatter and less demanding women.
Negotiating with taxi drivers doesn't always work cause i got a taxi from outside Big C to the darkside a while ago and negotiated a price. When we arrived at the wrong place by the way, the driver upped the price and when i said we'd agreed on a price, he started shouting at me.
I paid his price and got out and have never used a Pattaya taxi since. Taxis in Thailand, especially Pattaya, Phuket and Bangkok are the biggest tourist scammers in the country and ruin its reputation 😯👍
Sorry you had a bad experience
use your phone recorder. When negotiating with Thais. But don't let them know that your recording them. If there's a problim say to him if you can prove you are correct we can sort it out at the police station.
Use Grab or Bolt.
Way too expensive, over 500 baht for what you got. Do you realise there is Shabushi upstairs which is all you can eat buffet for 419 baht? Prawns, pork, vegetables, sushi, drinks, fruit and icecream (no ribs though)? Also Sizzler does an all you can eat salad bar (you said you like salad) which includes soup and spaghetti for 199 baht. The foodcourt downstairs is not for me, overpriced and not quite right in the taste. Yes I go to Central a lot.
Yeah I am sure there are cheaper options
Food courts great places to meet the office ladies at lunch time. Best ribs on my bbq the balcony sweet condo 2.
haha good man
10% service charge in a food court in Thailand is 🤣
My Thai lady is already doing difficult if she see a 7% tax adding on the bill 😁
500 Baht for that meal is pretty pricey for a such a place.
Yeah caught me off guard
A month ago I returned from Thailand. I lived across the street and was eating at Central almost every day. You can buy leftover food packaged before closing, and I feel like at a discount. However, I was a bit put off by the taste when I found out that after choosing my food, they usually heat it up in the microwave before serving it. :(
Wow
I like watching your videos. I look forward to watching the next one and I do watch the ones every day.
Thanks mate much appreciated
I will never pay service charge, its sneaking in everywhere in the UK as well. I will happily tip for good service to whoever serves me....if its a good service....its up to you, i expect mandatory service charge would probably be consumed by the business and not shared with staff sadly. Cheers nice vlog.
Happily!
Service charges are compulsory word wide and must be paid, but gratuity prices can be negotiated or not paid.
Yeah was unexpected
4:57 ... "let's have a look" ... then it is all in your voice ... about that girl in the blue dress: the disapointment that it not a true woman. You made my day
Lol
I have eaten at tops a number of times plenty of selections to choose from top quality boy i Miss it back in November time cannot wait
Absolutely mate many options
Thanks Trev Good video,I have been going there for years but not for the last few months, basically there are three food courts, The upmarket one you went to.Great western style food ,next to that a small Thai style food court where you need to buy a food card to present to the vendors, thirdly closer to Beach rd another more comprehensive Thai food court (used to be called Beach Eats) dont know if its still there, one outlet had very good Khao Soi, I will be back in a few weeks and will check it out. and yes nothing beats Terminal 21 for price and cleanliness
Cheers mate
I'm back in pattaya July and it's been a while .I love the information you give out walking around showing all these places that I can visit. By far the best pattaya channel
Welcome back!
Trev ,that wasn't the foodcourt you ate at,it's a restaurant attached to it,the food court is like all the rest, load a card with baht and fill ya boots, very cheap, very tasty and certainly no service charge.
Okay mate cheers
My experience - you can find something comparable in the Terminal 21 food court for half the price or less - without a service charge. Sparkling clean, modern and with excellent washrooms - unlike Central. That's why- small disadvantage- it is packed there at all times of the day.
Thanks for sharing
Food court at terminal 21 pattaya is really good
Will cover soon
I went to this food court everyday for lunch whilst in Pattaya. Food, quality, and price is excellent. The choice is fantastic too. You missed the salad bar out Trevor which is fantastic too.
cheers mate will check that out
The Central Festival foodcourt is good value and has a great variety of food. Areca Lodge is very centralized and a good place to stay. Nice walk Trev, I’ll be back in September.
Absolutely I was very surprised
thanks for creating and sharing
Welcome!
I’ve eaten a few times at Tops in Central festival, down to the location to my hotel, either the Hilton or Somerset. But I definitely don’t think you get any bargains. The quality is good, but it ain’t cheap. Imo.
Incidentally, the best ribs I’ve had were Witherspoons , without a question of doubt…. See you next month Trev.,
Cheers mate
The run I one I've come across is a steak restaurant between surin and prasat where the lady. Had noodles I had a rib eye and the bin had a, 100 baht cooking charge 😅
Cheers mate
I like the Tops at Central Festival. Yeah the food court is amazing for Variety!
Totally agree I was very surprised
Hey Trev,
Now that you have lost a few pounds it's about time to sort out that parachute jump, you can't avoid it forever mate🤣.
It's not the weight mate it's my blood pressure trust me I wanna do this
You did the zip line in JT tower what differece is a few thousand feet🤣@@Buzzinpattaya
Had dinner in the food court there last night mate, crispy pork with kale, panang curry and fried rice , 200 baht the lot and it was top notch
Nice one mate fair play
Thanks For all You do and Have Done. If You Need a Rest Well,Well, Deserved.
Thanks mate much appreciated
Thinking of travelling this year. Have been for a long time. Last year I spent 36hrs in Antwerp
Come out mate
Yeah, a service charge for cafeteria service? That's a bit wrong I'd say. I wonder what would happen if you gave exact change for the food only, minus the service charge?
Did catch me off guard
Yeah, the service charge was a surprise to me as well. They do that in some of the restaurants upstairs as well
Yes it just caught me off guard I wasn't expecting it to be honest
Great vlog do like I bite to eat in central festival great choice for everyone and you can get a beer unlike terminal 21 no alcohol ,but the food there is equally as good you have done a great job promoting patts one should always look on the positive side of life as you do ,great to hear that you’re going step back a little keep fit and healthy ,back home in Scotland at the moment and all ready booked up for Feb nixt year no other place like thialand on the planet the food the people and sunshine all the best Trev for the future 😻😻😻
Nice one mate
Good filming. Always at the brasserie with the big boys. Olive oil... yeah pop eye big man. Spinach, shout out to be big mates in Sianikville. We are the lads. We are Arsenal supporters also a little bit. Great life! Good times. Buzzing inspiring. Have a crab.
cheers mate have a good day
I have been to those food courts many times. The one down stairs is all Thai food and the first place is very high quality western food. Not bad price if your from the states but for Thailand very expensive. I go to the western one and my Thai wife gets her food at the other then we eat together.
Cheers mate
Yes, we do that also when i want to eat some western food. She will always find her Thai food no matter what 😁
Great video - I'm currently in Pattaya and would have to agree about the food court. There are some great choices. Also, there is a more high-end restaurant section on the 4th and 5th floors - I took a friend to Shabushi, which she loved. It's an all you can eat deal. The other food court I went to was in Terminal 21 - same deal as Central and imo no more expensive than some of the open-air places, like Tree Town say.
have a great time mate
It sounded like that strawberry tart stole your soul 😂. Enjoyed the walk and all the rest of the video
haha cheers mate, I was in a dream looking at that lol
You motivate me to loose some weight as well. Kudos and respect how fare you got with it!
Cheers mate
Really look forward to your video's Trev. Hopefully I'll be in pattaya in May, can't wait. Bringing a newbie with me . I'm sure he'll love it
Nice one mate thanks
Great tip. Cheese plate, with a girlfriend or... mate. Burns thru the paper, but working as an off shore rigger covers the bibs n bobs. Worth it.
nice one mate
We stayed at the Hilton right there and met people and ate there most days. I thought it was weird that you had to change your baht to food court tickets to get your food.
Yeah just stops staff pilfering
Quite expensive for ribs and potatoes. Compared to other countries.
Okay
used to go in Tops when it was on the corner 2nd and central for a salad mix, take back to room cheap and fresh.
Nice one
In western Washington US. Strawberry is ~3.50 a pint.
The local berries are cheaper and much better - but the season is very short
Cheers for sharing
Come on Trevor, when I'm staying at the Bayview, I eat at Central Festival every other day, the food is great, great selection of all kinds of restaurants and the Tops store is loaded with all kinds of local and inported foods. Btw, there is another smaller food court on the top floor of the mall.
cheers mate, I guess I just missed this out
I regularly eat in that Food Court in Central Festival. But I've never seen that place so empty. Probably that's cos I'm usually still asleep at that time. 😂🤣😅
Haha brilliant
Its dark because the other part of the court with all the restaurants and other Asian food stalls open on 11:00 along with the stores, at least on weekends I think, on weekdays the entire thing starts at 10:00.
Thanks for that mate
Enjoyed that. I like the ones where you show the whole journey. Kudos to you Trev for all your hard work over the years. Strawberries are out of season at the moment in the UK; they're available, but pretty rubbish and not very ripe.
Glad you enjoyed it mate thank you
A service charge in a restaurant, all over the world, has to be paid but a gratuities charge you can refuse to pay or negotiate what I can't understand is why the service charge is not just added onto the individual items then no one would realise. Gratuities charges on the bill should mean that the whole workforce except the owner gets a share of your pleasure with the experience
Gotcha mate
Royal Garden Plaza charge for service as well. They insist on taking the food to the table, a few feet away, and charging.
So i don't go in there.
Understood
Central's a great place to eat. I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 a few months before my last visit and was worried about what might be in the food that I was going to be served in Thailand. The Salad Factory in Central Festival was a godsend (and made up for the alcohol I was drinking in the evenings).
BTW I noticed a sign in the Topps supermarket which said they have some sort of affiliation with Waitrose. If you're not from the UK, Waitrose is probably the highest quality national supermarket chain in this country. I'd also agree with those that say Terminal 21 is cheaper, but I don't think the food court there has the range of Western food that Central has.- but both are good, so you can just use whichever is most convenient.
Cheers mate, glad all worked out for you
Witherspoons on Soi Buakhao, Saturday Ribs Special is my Favorite.
Cheers mate
Im in Tokyo. Strawberries here are on another level. They have different kinds and average about 50 cents to one dollar each. Ive seen 50 dollars for 10. A couple famous kinds go for like 200 to 500 dollars each. Its crazy! The strawberries here are damn good though 🙏
Wow mate
Thanks again Trev for the vid.
No worries
Great early morning walk about around the city Trevor. I been so many times to that Food Court . Lots and lots of choices and the quality of the food is pretty awesome. At the end of SOI 21 ( in your way to Tree Town) there’s a tiny Thai restaurant in the corner. The RIBS out there are absolutely beautiful. So tender and juicy. I think you know the place very well Trevor..! You mentioned few times in your Videos. A packed of 250 g of strawberries 🍓 is £ 3.00. Please Mate can you tell me what Camera are you using right now. I think the definition and quality of the picture is Amazing. Cheers buddy 👍
Thanks mate
Again great video Trev👏 👏
Glad you enjoyed it mate cheers
I eat there very often when I'm in Pattaya. Crazy that you've never been there really. On the top floors you also have great affordable restaurany. The food court in Terminal 21 is cheaper, but arguably also worse quality
Yeah I was surprised as like ya said never been there before
@@Buzzinpattaya at the beach road exit side there is another food court, cheaper and more thai oriented
I agree that Terminal 21 has lower quality. I eat at CF every other day as I often stay in the Bayview which is nearby.
@@blowzabimaru nice! I also eat there a lot. I always stay at The Base which is a 5-10 minute walk. Coming back end of may again. Can't wait to have that stewed pork leg from the first stall on the left (hong kong shop that also has the duck)!
Hey Trev ,I usually stay right next door to central so I have been there many times ,the central area of the food court is ,
very cheap for thai food , the other food places can be expensive as you found out , I went to the sportsman pub in soi 13 last week , so delicious , I could not finish it , i came to look in you bar last week , but my English friend wanted to go Maggie mays , what a disappointment, the girl was was so drunk , i had to call the mamasan to take her away , I will come to buzzing lounge next week , I hope that you are available for a chat , I was going to come last week , but I see that your wife’s mother is not doing so good , i wish her well and to see you soon 🙏
Nice one mate
Come on Trev, why are you doing this to me? Last Nov/Dec I was in Pattaya and sometimes I eat at the food court in Central Festival. At that bakery I must have eaten 4 carrot cake on a 15 days visit. I would go walk for an hour after eating those carrot cakes. 🥕🎂👀
Haha sorry mate
6:25 recently lost 3 weeks of work on corrupt Linux USB. Disk says 70% of disk is used but shows no files !
I've just had to happen and trust me is anything but enjoyable
Seriously you haven't been downstairs trev 😂😂😂 got good shops for shopping too. Always go there.
Tell me about it mate lol
Trev, I have been down there, a very nice layout!!. I believe you could showcase the BARREN MOON and make it presentable!! 555😂Be well my Friend!! 🙏
Difficult but not imposter-able
Hahaha try me best mate
That food court charges 10% service fee because they can . The supermarket/food court/air conditioning make for an attractive short cut between the beach and second road .
cheers mate
Best ribs, KORANDOS for Pattaya, here in Ontario in Kanata there is Baton Rouge which I consider the best with Korandos a very close second
Cheers mate
id be surprised if scandisk will do anything with the card its not normaly somthing they do as far as im aware they normaly just give you a new card if its found to be faulty , its normaly 3rd party people do data recovery , there are programs you can download to recover the data yourself its not that difficult if you dont get any joy with scandisk or dont want to pay a 3rd party to do it (it can be expensive)
Yeah they binned me off sadly
Enjoyed tops many good and quality choices in great mall, a bit more expensive than most pattaya food options but still well priced when compared to western countries.
Thanks for sharing
I am pretty sure the info about the 10% surcharge is out there on the banners between the stalls. I am positive I saw it.
Knowing me mate I had my eyes closed
Hi Trev, went to this court last week, food is okay but need to buy a ticket for any of them which you didn't show. Lastly and most importantly it is very hard to get a seat at these places during lunch or dinner times, especially for two or more people
I didn't need a ticket, I paid after my meal?
New Zealand a punnet (250g say) is about $4 in season. That's about 2 english pounds.
Nice one
6 to 7 USD from strawberries when in season here in USA Oklahoma so 215 to 250 baht for a 250g Punnet
ah gotcha mate, cheers
Morning and afternoon from Australia
Good morning mate have a great day
Too pricey there
Just an option mate that's all
There’s another place in there, A La Turca on the top level in the far corner very nice
Cheers mate, will take a look
My pleasure, hope you enjoy it 😊
Strawberries £ 2 for 400 grams aldi uk only June July August

Have you done any videos in the Nong Prue area? They seem to have a large number of houses for rent in that area.
In the past yes
Go meet up with Walkabout Wayne,he's in town from chiang mai. I think he's feeling a bit intimidated. He's a good bloke, he needs bucking up👍
Don't know him mate sorry
Approx £11.50 i, expensive for what you got, it is Central though and a prime tourist area so it is gonna be pricey.
Cheers mate
I would advise not to order a bolt taxi anywhere near the orange-vest bike taxi stands, as i witnessed a nasty incident right outside Central Pattaya, opposite the Somerset hotel last December, around 3 p.m. when a bolt motorbike taxi rider was jumped by 7-8 orange vest bike taxi riders.
It made me lose all respect for the moto-taxi riders, and i will never use them ever again...! Real cowards
Why would you take a bolt motorcycle taxi anywhere- always take a car, the price difference is very little - also never had a problem getting in or out of cars near the taxi lads
@@martinpowell5769i agree, I've also had no issues with Bolt taxi cars either picking up or dropping off, however this was a bolt motorbike picking up very close to where the orange-vest motorbike taxis are based.
The attack was awful to watch, yet the bolt taxi driver simply got up and walked away, as if nothing had happened, although i'm sure he was feeling the pain and badly bruised.
Yeah there has been a few incidents
If I remember right they even have some Greek food down there
Yes mate
Not sure if you were standing in the baht bus , I'm sure you know it's illegal . Our bus was stopped in Naklua 5 years ago and i was told to sit . I was wearing my chest brace after recently having back surgery and was more comfortable standing .
John Buriram .
Yes it is illegal and if you are stopped you can be fined
Oh no,
Trevor can you make sure you've got Johnny Walker Blue in the bar. Will be visiting shortly. Cheers mate.
Remember, if you want to be like Daniel Craig, it's always better with Johny Blue. Double the fun. Double the exciting... Ouch, baby we roll!
Will ask Beer
The Las Vegas Beer garden is a miss description.Where is the garden.
It's a garden of beer, just like the pattaya beer garden.
Am sure there will be a few trees dotted around lol
Corrupted mem card- Maybe Mr Kong at Tukcom could work his magic???
Best ribs right now, Smoking Joe's on Lengkee. Reeeeally miss Lone Star from a few years back. Used to be 2 doors down from Joe's, next to Jolly Friar. Ribs there were tremendous.
He was my first person to ask mate sadly he cannot help
Yeah play it a again, Eddie Murphy
Trev , I for one will certainly miss your daily shows which I watch first thing with my coffee and toast 😊 , I fully understand how much time you commit to these shows, how about a morning show followed by an evening show the next day and so on ? All the best . AB , Putney SW15 👍
I will continue for now let's see how it pans out
Salut Trev.Nice video...😄👍
Cheers mate
Trevor who chooses the music you play there. My band has a demo and could you consider. We play mostly Bouys to Man & Insync kind of ballads.
Me.mate strictly rock
I have only used Grab for rides in Thailand. Maybe i should compare Bolt rides. Never bothered with taxis, dont really trust the pricing.
Bolt is very good
There are free and inexpensive apps that can fix boot sectors and stuff like that. Hopefully you can recover your data.
The problem is that when I put the card into the reader I have tried several different ones it just says the card is corrupted
@@BuzzinpattayaI make it a habit of formatting media every so often as the constant recording then deleting files can eventually lead to problems. Like all media, they do have a re-writing end of life which means data can be written over to a limit. This also applies to HDDs, DVDs, SSDs, etc.
Wow...at the 2:40 mark the new refreshed tesla model 3
Indeed
@Buzzinpattaya
reason I blurted that out was I plan to relocate there within 3 years. I should have followed up with this.....I drive a model 3 in the states...was curious if thailand is adopting evs and if so are they building a charging infrastructure.
Regarding those sneaky 10% service charges for restaurants ... maybe others can chime in but what I heard is any restaurant that is attached or affiliated with hotel has that charge? Or maybe I'm thinking of 10% VAT charge that some places do? Is service charge a form of tip for the employees of TOPS? I don't recall seeing a service charge at food court on Beach Rd side of Central Festival, but now I am wondering.
As for your daily videos, only you can answer that. Doing a 20-30+ minute video each day (or multiple vids if you include your live streams) is impressive! You do do a daily 30 minute walk though, and experts say it is good exercise to walk briskly *and* talk as much as you can as it stresses the heart/lungs even more. Food for thought 🙂
Yeah was a bit weird
Gday Trevour have you noticed how healthier you are now you have given up cigarettes. Well done. Being able to achieve your ambitions. Well, like a friend I have who does the high cliff dives in Puerto Rico. He says just find the smallest size pair of togs and dive straight in. Im sure you won't but I have had a few PT clients follow my advise over the years. Shine on. Shine off. Your worth it. Say hi to the girls. Im resting at the moment. Be there swoon.
Never smoked a single cigarette in my life mate, detest smoking lol
I also got caught with that 10% auto. Svc. charge. I did query it and was told it was normal in all restaurants in Thailand.
In 25 years I've rarely experienced it so I asked, In Thai, why she was lying to me, as this most certainly is NOT true. Obviously there was no response.
I paid the bill but pointed out I would normally give 15-20% so... Her loss...!
However this practice is not at all common in (economy-wise) Food Courts and possibly one more nail in the tourist coffin. The .gov can claim all they want about boosting tourism but do they ever check places like this...?
Cheers mate
10% service charge in a food court in Thailand is 🤣
My Thai lady is already doing difficult if she see a 7% tax adding on the bill 😁
Trev, do you recommend any apps or software that helps you learn the basics of the language? I am not thinking google, something that helps you learn the basics of speaking Thai. Thanks.
I never used apps mate I did one on one
while you walking toward the seaside door on your right side there's another food court.
Ah thanks mate will go take a look
Hey Trev have they shut down the outdoor market there in front of the entrance.
No mate
There are two food courts in Central, Tops and Food Park.
I think Food Park is the better of the two, I prefer Terminal 21's food court over Central.
Cheers mate
What's going on at the moment with road works, have they been completed and what is the news on the bridge proposal for Koh Larn
There is another 10 years of thinking to be done before the Koh Lan bridge fate is decided, this is Thailand.

Trevor I was at the buzzing bar last September and two guys asked if I wanted a Vegemite sandwich. What is Vegemite is it from the London area. Is it like curry. Or tappas? Do you know
It's similar to Marmite
It’s a spread from Australia. Dark and salty. Great on toast.
Is it possible to know if there is a non glouton variant of Vegemite. My internet seems not to work at all!
