What a great player - hit, run, field, and one of the best arms of all time! A little context would have helped; hundreds of homeruns, why were these chosen?
The thing that gets me is that when he played in Pittsburgh, the newspaper reporters made fun of him because of his accent and printed it in the sports column, which is disrespectful. The city of Pittsburgh and sports reporters didn't realize they had a great ballplayer who played in a low-market city. If he had played in Los Angeles, New York, or even St. Louis, he would have been a real household name.
Bob Gibson was famous for throwing high and inside (right at people's heads). One day Gibson almost took off Clemente's head and Roberto told him he was messing with a person's livelihood doing that and asked him how he'd like it if Roberto did that to him. Gibson replied with "well you don't pitch, do you?" Later, in the season (or it may have been the next season?) Clemente hit a screaming line-drive right at Gibson and broke his leg (fibula).
Your crazy, the only thing Albert had was his first 10 years were better than Clemente in batting only because of his power. Thats it. Clemente batted .328 for the decade (1960s) and Pujols batted .334 for the decade (2000s). After that he lost his spark. His next 10 years was nowhere near Roberto quality. Career BA for Roberto was . 317 and for pujols was .296. So clemente ends up being the better hitter. He beats clemente only in power. Playing the field its not even close. Roberto has the most (12) gold gloves of any outfielder and the most assist of any outfielder since intergration. His arm is legendary (more than Alberts power is). Pujols only had 2 gold gloves. Roberto was a 15 time all star compared to 11 time all star albert. Albert was great but Roberto was better.

@@flex1661 Well Ted and Babe didnt play in fair times so you have to take their numbers with a grain of salt. They weren't playing the best of the best in those times. Imagine a league without Judge, Shohei, Soto, etc... Imagine them playing in a league where there not playing the best of the best. With their talent their numbers will most likely be slightly better. Offensively there is quite a few players better than Clemente because of power. As all around complete players Clemente only stands behind The Goat Willie Mays. Even Willie Mays when asked who is his favorite player said it was Clemente.
