Made a 750pt morder/serpent horde list before watching this, think it fits quite well. It's part made to be good but also fun for me and what I like. Would really appreciate your opinion. 1. Witch king (leader) - 3/15/3 : armoured horse, crown of morgul • 3 x Morgul knights with lance • 4 x warg riders with shield and throwing spears 2. Suludan the serpent lord with armoured horse • 3 x Merchant guards • 6 x watchers of karna with twin blades • 8 x Haradrim warriors with spears • 1 x Haradrim warrior with war horn 3. Haradrim Chieftain with bow and poison • 6 x Haradrim warriors with spears and bows 4. Haradrim Task master • 6 x Haradrim warriors with spears and bows
Its a solid army! The main thing that stands out right away is the you should always take the Morgul blade on the Witch king. You might not use it every game but when he one shots a troll or smaug you will be so glad that you have it. I would also recomend dropping a warrior or two to put the Haradrim Cheiftain on a horse. I know that you want to keep him back with your troops but even if he stays with them the horse makes him so much more deadly and if you are in a situation where you don't want it he can always just dismount. Your army is going to hit super hard but can't take a hit in return. I dont think that you need to change the list around but it will take some practice to get the most value. You need to keep your watchers of Karna and Merchant guard safe from enemy shooting. Over all I really like it good luck using it!
@@ConquestCreations awesome thank you, for now I've taken away one war rider, given him the morgul blade and switched two warriors for two serpent guards
Nicely done! This is a well summarized guide to competitive list building! I really want to make a list using the paths of the druadan legendary legion. It might not be the most competitive, however I really like this moment in the book and I would love to get my woses back into action! What do think about my list so far? I am not sure which Rohan heroes would be the best choice... WB 1 Theoden, King of Rohan with armoured horse; Heavy armor; Shield 5 Riders of Rohan 3 Riders of Rohan with Throwing Spears 1 Rider of Rohan with Throwing Spear and Banner 3 Royal Guards with Horse; Throwing spears WB 2 Deorwine, Chief of the King's Knights with Horse 5 Riders of Rohan 3 Riders of Rohan with Throwing Spears 2 Rohan Outriders with Horse WB 3 Ghan-Buri-Ghan 15 Woses warriors Units: 40 Total points: 749 Might: 9 Bows: 22 Blowpipes: 16 Throwing spears: 10 What could I improve?
Paths of the Druadan is a really interesting legendary legion. One of the best Australian Players brought it to our most competitive event and did decently well with it. This legion is really good because you wont have to worry about terrain so you can cross the board really quickly with the cavalry. Your courage defence is good, your shooting is super solid, manoeuvrability is great, and you have a lot of models. For an all cavalry army your hitting power isn't amazing because you don't get the +1 strength on the charge. I would maybe drop some of the riders of rohan to bring in Dernhelm because she has so many attacks. But I haven't gotten to play with or against it though so I am not totally sure. Its a pretty rare army to see so good on you for bringing something unique!
Nice list! This will be super cool to play. I reckon there are a few changes that could make it more powerful. Firstly I would give the witch king the Morgul blade. Its only 5 points and if you go up against certain armies like a mumak or Smaug its is god tier. The Tainted isn't the most powerful of the named ringwraiths but has a really unique ability that most people will have never played against before so you will be able to catch heaps of people off guard. I would consider changing him into a captain on warg (we can use these extra points) but this one is more up to you. I think the two key things that this list is missing is are hitting power and manoeuvrability. Even if you manage to paralyse a hero the strength 3 orcs will still struggle to kill it. Adding in a cave troll with a hammer could fix this. If you could paralyse a hero then charge it with the cave troll its almost a guaranteed kill! I would also include a handful of warg rider so you can get to objectives around the board a bit quicker. Its going to be a super cool list either way!
@@ConquestCreations also, knowing he has the morgul blade is another board control factor to an extent. People typically try and avoid risking being near a morgul blade with their best hero's. Nuclear deterrent even if you never use it
Built this list for a recent tournament at 700pts: Saruman -Grima (option to deploy with my opponent) -3 Berserkers -5 Warriors with shields -7 Warriors with pikes -1 Warrior with pike and banner Mauhur -5 Marauders with shields Thrydan Wolfsbane on horse -10 Scouts with Uruk-Hai bows 35 models, 7 are 8"+ movement, 10 S3 bows and Sorcerous Blast, pots of S4
I appreciate the comment! I like Isengard a lot I have played them heaps. This list is going to be really cool. Always deploy Grima with you instead of your enemy. Otherwise an experienced player will just put 3 models around Grima and trap him so he can't move near the enemy heroes. I reckon swap the 5 mauraders with shield to be regular scouts and put them in Thrydans warband and then move the 10 scouts with bows into Mahurs warband and make them the Mauraders. This way they can move really quickly and still fire. Also if you run them to claim an objective they can now shoot at the enemy while they approach the objective. One last thing if oyu can find the model having Sauruman on a horse makes him a lot more powerful. Because he can use magic at any point during his movement he can run up 5" can sorcerous blast and then run back.
Love the videos. Been great to watch as someone getting back into the game. List I have been working on is as follows: Warband 1 WK- 3 Might 6Will 3 fate. Crown armoured horse 5 black Nums 6 Morannons- shield spear 4 Morgul knights Warband 2 Gorbag-Sheild 7 Morannons- shield spear 1 Morannons- shield Warband 3 Kardush 4 trackers Warband 4 Shagrat- Armour, sheild 5 black nums 6 Morannons- shield spear 1 morrannon- shield spear banner 800 points 43 models One thing I am always unsure of is what best way to structure warbands. For example in the above if malestorm deployment goes wrong kardush warband would be torn round shreds quickly. Keep up the good work!
Awesome army list. This is definitely going to be very powerful. I would recomend giving the witch king the morgul blade. If you come up against a mumak or anything similar it will be worth its weight in gold. When you are structing warbands in an army list like this I recomend spreading things out relatively evenly so each hero can operate as their own force. If you are in maelstrom Always roll for your most vulnerable and important warbands first. In your case it is Kardush. After he is on the table have a go at bringing in the other warbands. You can use might to make sure they come in close to Kardush so he is safe. I really like that you chose gorbad he is one of the best cheap heros. Thanks for the comment mate!
great video as always, I wld like to see more rangers/grey company forces as I feel like they fulfill most of these criteria with aragorns free turnly heroic march and halbarads 6 inch fearless banner plus every model has bows. I've had a lot of success recently with these forces around 600 points as u get Anduril for free and u can really chain aragorn into heroic combats because everyone has might. Especially as u always seem to have 5, 10 points left over, I like swapping out 2 rangers swords for axes to get piercing strike as it adds to your killing power. My one real query though is whether you wld take rangers of the north or dunedain. You pay 5 points for 1 defence, but it makes a lot of difference against bowfire.
Thanks for the feedback! Buying the bases makes a massive difference to the channel. I am trying to eventually make Conquest Creations a full time job at the moment we are a long way off so your support would help heaps!
Love your videos! Do not think you have forgotten anything, the phrase "if an army has a trick, you should use it" covers most facts about this game xD I have build an army list around my favourite character (Glorfindel) and one of the most underestimated factions ingame: Arnor. Basically my ideas: 1. Use this army as a good version of the Rhun "Hammer-and-amboss"-tactic. Arnor stays alive and the elves bring the damage. 2. Glorfindel on Asfaloth (imo best mount-rider combination in the game for these points) is superpowerful with maximum flexibility, damage output and magic/monster resistance. 3. Malbeth needs to stay out of side/hidden from enemy models. 4. Except magic I can compare in most of your categories. The List: -Glorfindel on Asfaloth with Armour of Gondolin 3× Knights of Rivendell with shield 5x High Elves Warriors with shield - Arvedui 1x Warrior of Arnor with banner 5x Warrior of Arnor 3x Rangers of Arnor with spears - Malbeth 5x Warrior of Arnor 3x Rangers of Arnor 600 points, 28 miniatures, 9 bows (3 elves, 6 men), 7 might
I love this list! I wish that Rivendel and Arnor were a green alliance because the 6" fearless bubble from Arvedui would be awesome in this but you do have the courage 5 elves so you shouldn't need it to much. Glorfindel and the knights can put damage but the other elven warriors will hit just as hard as the arnor warriors. I reckon you want to have them with the warriors so they can get the spear support and the banner. You need to be carful with your cavalry and keep them very safe from enemy shooting even loosing a few horses could really hurt your list without them you have lots of strength 3 which will struggle to break through a lot of enemies. At 600 points to have 28 models that are this strong and Glorfindel is really good. I am making an Anror army so i may need to try this list!
@@ConquestCreations Thx for your Reply. I totally agree: Arnor and Rivendell should be green. I was very unsatisfied when GW's last errata did not come to this conclusion and stated that every possible alliance has been looked on. Those to factions are Pretty much a very thematic alliance and the army Bonus of Arnor is super strong. Alone, this faction can not be played. I also admit, that this list has vulnerable Points, such as the horses and Malbeth. I agree, that the field and good tactics are needed to Keep certain parts alive, this list probably does not forgive mistakes. I also thought About switching the elven Warriors shields to spears, what do you think? I would love to see this list in a BR! Last Question: Where do you buy the Arnor-Warriors?
I'm in ADHD obsession mode over this game but the rulebook hasn't got here yet. These videos have saved my wife hours of me blabbering on about this game shed thank you if she knew haha
You touched on it but minor casters are huge. Lothlorien doing well I think is mostly in part that they can participate in and do well in all phases of the game, whereas many armies just rush through magic because they haven't got it, or shooting for the same reason. I think a balanced army list is one that has access to something to contribute in each phase. From a game design pov, I do believe some armies need minor caster tweaks or buffs, or we're just going to keep seeing half horde/half caster evil armies more often than not.
Great Video! I was thinking about a list for an upcoming 950 points tournament: Aragorn, King Elessar (Armoured Horse) 6 WoMT (Shield) 7 WoMT (Shield, Spear) 5 Knights (Shield) Madril 5 Rangers 7 Rangers (Spear) King of the Dead 3 Warrior of the Dead (Shield) 2 Warrior of the Dead (Shield, Spear) 1 Warrior of the Dead (Shield, Spear, Banner) Herald of the Dead 2 Warrior of the Dead (Shield) 3 Warrior of the Dead (Shield, Spear) Elessar gives his bubble, might machine and killing power, knights are for manouverability, flanking, and objective grabs, Madril brings decent shooting with his warband, march, and really helps in maelstrom deployment with his special rule, the dead also bring awesome killing power and the king can be a huge threat to any monsters and big heroes. In total thats 10* might (counting the King using the Heralds will store), 6 models with 10" move, 13 bows. Any comments are greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks for the comment! for 950 points you don't have heaps of models. I reckon the Herald of the Dead doesn't work super well in this list, only the Army of the Dead models can benefit from the King of the Dead's heroic actions so it wouldn't help the whole army. I would drop the herald to just increase the models in the King of the Deads warband. When you deploy you want to have the Army of the dead as your front line and have them spear supported by the rest of your army. This means all of your front line would be defence 8 and causes terror. Those are my thoughts, What do you think?
Hope this is even semi decent as it's pretty much based on what models I currently have. Hero of Legend Théoden, King of Rohan Selections: Armour, Armoured Horse, Heavy Armour, Herugrim, Leader (Legend), Shield Warband Rider of Rohan Selections: Armour, Bow, Horse, 3x Rider, Shield, Sword, Throwing Spears Rider of Rohan Selections: Armour, Bow, Horse, 4x Rider, Shield, Sword Hero of Valour Éomer, Marshal of the Riddermark Selections: Armoured Horse, Heavy Armour, Shield, Sword, Throwing Spears Warband Rider of Rohan Selections: Armour, Bow, Horse, 3x Rider, Shield, Sword, Throwing Spears Rider of Rohan Selections: Armour, Bow, Horse, 3x Rider, Shield, Sword Hero of Fortitude Elfhelm, Captain of Rohan Selections: Armour, Horse, Shield, Sword, Throwing Spears Warband Rider of Rohan Selections: Armour, Bow, Horse, 3x Rider, Shield, Sword Rider of Rohan Selections: Armour, Bow, Horse, 3x Rider, Shield, Sword, Throwing Spears Gamling, Captain of Rohan Selections: Heavy Armour, Horse, Royal Standard of Rohan, Sword
Yeah man this is a solid list. Cavalry armies do take a bit more practice to play with so don't be discouraged if you loose a few games. What i recomend you do it take this as part of the Riders of Theoden Legendary legion from Gondor at war and all your heroes once per game get a free heroic strike or combat in one turn. If you wanted to make your army a bit more powerful you could do some conversions and make some of your riders with throwing spear into Royal guard. It will decrease the amount of bows but their body guard and high fight makes them a good inclusion
I want to take part in a 600P Good v Evil tournament, I would be my first tounament (and it will only take place after Covid), but I am really looking forward to it 600P The Serpent Horde and Mordor - 32 models, 3 warbands, 13 bows, 4 horses, 8 might Suladan on armored horse 2x Serpent Rider 6x Abrakhan Guard 9x Haradrim with bow and spear The Shadowking on Fellbeast 1x Warg rider with throwing spear 7x Black Numenorian 3x Orc warrior with spear and bow Gorbag with shield 1x Orc warrior with spear and bow 600P Riders of Theoden - 20 models, 3 warbands, 12 bows, 20 horses, 9 might Theoden on armored horse with heavy armor and shield 3x Royal Guard with throwing spears on horses 5x Rider of Rohan with throwing spears 1x Rider of Rohan with banner Gamling with royal Banner on horse 2x Royal Guard with throwing spears on horses 5x Rider of Rohan with throwing spears Deorwine on horse 1x Rider of Rohan with throwing spears Do you have any thougths on them?
You evil list is a really good list, you have the mobility with the cavalry, the hitting power with the abrakhand guard, the courage defence with a lot of courage 4, the courage attack with the black numenorians with the Shadow Lord, and you are totally safe from shooting. I like that you chose Gorbag He is often looked over but is seriously good for his points. I dont think there is anything I would change about the list Riders of Theoden is an interesting one. It has so much damage potential but can be countered by the right enemy list. I would probably drop your numbers down to include one more hero. I would either take in Elfhelm, or Dernhelm. The list rewards you for having more heroes so its work taking plenty
@@ConquestCreations Well Gorbag should not be alone with one Orc Warrior in case the scenario has maelstrom of battle. Other than that the list is really solid. I agree that more Rohan Heros are usefull in the Riders of Theoden LL. Dernhelm is one of the best mid class heroes in the game. So Riders of Theoden without Dernhelm is hard to argue why Dernhelm is not in the list.
Always take a banner. For Moria, the "banner" (drummers) is so expensive: 75 points. At what point level army list would you take the drums? It really cuts down on your numbers which is a strength of Moria AND the drum only benefits fights with a Goblin model.
I'm not a competetive player but I think banners are more important on high fight value armies. If you're goblins you're going to lose a lot of fights to enemy 6's and lose models, but numbers and laws of averages will eventually come into play. But if you're elves and have expensive squishy models, it's vital that you don't lose any fights you could win.
I always take them. True, it's 75 points, but it's an 18" banner, and with Groblog as well as the faction Bonus, if you play it right you can be devastating. Even without the faction Bonus, with Groblog and a bat swarm, your goblins with outfight anything fight 5 or less
How many points Rohan is a basic but nice option especially because riders with bow don't count to you bow limit or wolves of isengard (legendary legions) is at 500 points is also a fun option but they have the problem of no real good heroes just 1 named heroes
That's a great place to start! Mirkwood rangers can be tough to use so might take a few games to get good with. Your place guard around Thranduil are absolute beasts
@@ConquestCreations can I take both? Like some palace guard with spears and shields and some rangers for some ranged support? Also want to bring the king and legolas to go around smacking everything together while the other units take objectives
Great video, thanks a lot! Angmar list is just amazing... I would really appreciate your feedback on a 600 points fiefdoms list I will run in a blue vs blue tournament: WB1 Imrahil on armored horse with lance 5 knights of dol amroth with armored horse and lance 4 men-at-arms of dol amroth 4 blackroot vale archers 4 blackroot vale archers with spear 1 clansmen of lamedon WB2 Forlong the fat on horse 6 knights of dol amroth on foot 6 men-at-arms of dol amroth 2 axemen of lossarnach 600 points - 6 might - 34 models - 8 bows I think it is pretty good for what regards hitting power, manoeuvrability (although could suffer in malestorm of battle) and numbers. I'd say I am ok with might (not exceptional, not terrible). Magic resistance could be a real problem but with fiefdoms, there is not really a lot I can do. The same goes for courage: Forlong's horn helps but apart from the dol Amroth knights I am courage 3 (4 with horn, down to 3 if a Nazgul is nearby) or less (looking at that really strange statline of the fiefdoms archers...). Of course Angbor would be amazing, but at 600 points I don't think I can afford him without hurting too much numbers. Bows are ok, but with the current meta I think I'll be just destroyed against Assault upon Helm's deep or Rangers of Ithilien. Tricks should be fine: Imrahil incredible banner, Forlong re-rolls 1s bubble. Redundancy...meh...let's say that both Imrahil and Forlong can hit like a train. Any comment/suggestion is really appreciated
Hey mate! thanks for the comment. I really like the fiefdoms. You list is really solid. It is really well rounded and will be able to win and scenario. Your magic resistance isn't amazing but as you said there isn't much that you can do about it. With 3 will on Imrahil and at 600 points there wont be to many wizards. Your courage defence is actually really good! The warhorn gives you courage 5 knights and having the men at army and the axemen you don't need to pass courage tests to support your own models so you will always be able to get heaps of attacks into combat. I don't think there is anything that I would change about the list! good luck at the tournament
Beautiful video my dude. Im always making lists but I'm not too sure where they stand. I just put together a 700 point mordor list based on mobility Mouth of Sauron Orc x9 Warg rider x4 Guritz Morannon x5 Morannon w banner Orc x5 Troll w drum Shagrat Morannon x5 Orc x5 Warg rider x2 Got minimal magic but decent hitting power i think and can really blitz around with multiple sources of March and a drum. Thoughts?
Thanks for the comment mate! The troll with drum is such a good inclusion it going to make your warg riders in particular super fast. This army is going to have a super hard time against a terror army so what I recomend is changing Guritz into Kardush the Fire caller. This will get your whole army Fury so terror isn't a problem and he can throw around fire balls to kill enemy heroes horses. Its going to be a super fun army to use!
Great video, thank you very much. Do you have any tips on how to add tricks and several options to normal armies of the good side? Because I feel like my army lists for the good side don't have this option. For example at last year's Ardacon I played with IHs and Rivendell with Dain, Bifur and Cirdan but lost my 2 games because I didn't have the tools to deal certain things like Matt's Gil-Galad and F6 troops that stopped Dain from doing damage or in Heirlooms where I couldn't threaten the prize that was picked up early on behind the enemies lines. Thanks in advance
This is a good question. Thanks for the comment! I didn't realise until now but evil has wayyyy more tricks than good does. It it sounds like Matt had a great counter to your list. Heirlooms is my least favourite scenario because you just need to get lucky to get a massive advantage. Bifur is a great inclusion in your list and can give a lot of control in movement. The Iron Hills amry bonus is so powerful that I don't think tis worth including Cirdan in a list with them. Cirdan is very strong for his points but when he also costs an incredible army bonus I don't think its worth it. The +1 or -1 to come in for heirlooms could help a lot. I think the best way to deal with things like that on the good side are the wizards. You could take Gandalf the grey because he is in the Survivors of lake town army list. Or better you could take any of the Mirkwood heroes and a handful of sentinels. they wouldn't help heaps against elves but in many match ups they are very powerful
@@ConquestCreations Thank you for your answer. I'd still not get the army bonus because Bifur is from the Erebor reclaimed list. But Legolas with a few elves and 1 or 2 sentinels sounds like a good addition.
Good question! There are a few things that go into deciding. Firstly in Maelstrom of battle its good to have your resources spread evenly across your warbands so if one gets isolated you don't loose all of that kind of model. Another thing to keep in mind is what the warband is trying to do. If I am planning on charging is all of my cavalry then I will keep them all in a warband with a mounted hero where as if I am trying to just get objectives and be more manoeuvrable with them then I will have a handful in every warband.
Hey mate! Another great video, thx for your work! I have question for you - what do you think about my Minas Tirith, 800 points list? Any sugestions? Is it competetive? I won a local turnament with it, but maybe can you help to improve it? 42 models in total, 10 bows, 10 might in heroes (+1 in both trebuchets) Leader - Boromir, horse, shield, Banner 6 Fountain Guards, 6 WoMT shield, spear, 3 KoMT, shield, Ingold, 6 WoMT shield, 6 Rangers of Gondor spear, Beregond, horse, 2 Fountain Guards, shields 1 WoMT shield, spear, 3 Citaled guards, Elf bows, 2x Trebuchet
Good job! I think winning a tournament means its pretty competitive! Personally I am not the biggest fan of siege weapons because I don't find them to be very tactical to use but they are very very powerful in game just watch out for blinding light and elven cloak armies. Looking at your list you have seemed to get everything right! You have a few models for manoeuvrability, you have a massive hero for hitting power, you have plenty of numbers, courage isn't an issue because of body guard, the banner of Minas Tirith give you fight 5. All around a really well made list!
@@ConquestCreations Thx. I use trebuchets mainly tactical - it force enemy to split, and come to me, while beregond and citadel guards can try to snipe important models, rangers killing horses and trebuchet... scarying. ; ) And Boromir in close combat is beast! He can beat all regular heroes. But i had HUGE problem aganist Mumak War Leader - absolutly no idea how to fight aganist it.

Army of the dead is awesome! If you want to play a pure army I reckon this is a good list but I think that the Return of the King Legendary legion is super powerful. You would have to swap the whole heralds warband for Aragorn so you would have very low numbers but with a free heroic march and the cavalry you can move very fast and Aragorn hits super hard. This would allow you to drop the banner because Aragorn acts as a 6" banner any way so you could include more models What do you think?
@@ConquestCreations I have the 3 hunters to of course. I feel like Aragorn is steep for the 500 pt. In 800 I play him no doubt, sometimes even legolass for the ranged support. But at 500 pt I feel like we can't muster up the numbers to win. Sometimes I feel like AotD is a little too elite. You know what I'll just test it out in a couple of games! I own 3k AotD anyway haha
Any input on this list would be great thanks Army of Dunland, 800pts Thrydan Wolfsbane - Horse 7 Dunlending Warriors with axe and shield 1 Dunlending Warrior with banner 5 Dunlending Huscarls 2 Crebain Frida Tallspear 3 Dunlending Warriors with axe and shield 2 Dunlending Warriors with bow 2 Dunlending Huscarls 3 Dunlending Horsemen 1 Crebain Gorulf Ironskin 4 Dunlending Warriors with axe and shield 2 Dunlending Warriors with bow 2 Dunlending Huscarls 3 Dunlending Horsemen 1 Crebain The Wild Man Oathmaker 1 Dunlending Warrior with banner 5 Wildmen of Dunland with sword 5 Wildmen of Dunland with axe 1 Wildman of Dunland with 2 handed axe 800pts, 54 models, 12 Might
This is such a cool army list! I can't wait to see more of Dunland on the table. Crebain are the ultimate tool for claiming objectives although 4 is a lot. I might drop it down to 2 or 3 and bring some more numbers in if you have the warband space. I think this is about as good as a Dunland list can get! Good luck with it!
Hey mate. great video. fairly newish to the UK scene. my local group seems to prefer bigger games so I'm building up 1000p of Khazad-Dum WB1- Durin dwarf warrior with banner 3 Iron guards 13 Khazad guard all with Hearthguard WB2- Mardin 4 dwarf warriors with shield 2 dwarf warriors with bow 2 Iron guards 2 Vault warden teams WB3- Kings champion 5 dwarf warriors with shield 3 dwarf warriors with bow 2 iron guard WB4- Captain with shield and throwing weapon 6 dwarf rangers with bows 2 dwarf warriors with 2 handed axes The big problem I know I'm going to have is maneuverability since all my units have such low movement. The captain has march, but im not sure how to rectify it beyond that. From what I've seen previously the Hearthguards are killing machines. My other issue is pike armies and not being able to break their front well.
Hi there. I've not played competitively for a while, but Khazad-Dum has always been my main army and have always read/watched a lot about building for it. I would highly recommend watching the "Unexpected Podcast 7: Analysis on Kingdom of Khazad Dum " and read the top comment by Alastair King (who is a competitive player of Khazad Dum). Based on Alastair’s comment, the discussion in this video and your comments on weaknesses I’ve made some comments and suggestions. There are a lot as I am thinking through how I would build for this myself. There is a TL:DR at the bottom though summarizing my suggestions *Tactical Flexibility* 1. Hitting power - Great Durin and King's Champion best hero options for this, good choice Iron Guard and Vault Wardens good with strength 4 Hearth guard excellent with strength 4(+1 Burly), but very expensive Standard Dwarf Warriors have axes for piercing strike Very few Spears reduces ability to bring attacks to bear 3-banners excellent The whole force gets re-roll 1s to wound in combat for army bonus. 43 Strength 4+ attacks (16 burly/master forge +1), most can pierce 23 Strength 3 attacks, (2x 2-handed), all can pierce 2. Maneuverability/Board Presence - Below Average Whole Army is 5 inch movement Only 1 marching hero, with total of 2 marches per game Only 11 bows (out of 16), some armies may have 20 or more shots Throwing Weapons 8 3. Numbers - Good You have 53 models I think at 1000 points 45+ is good for Dwarfs With such good staying power this is plenty to reduce flanking and provide board presence *Resources and Tricks* 1. Might - Good Your list has 10 Only 2 can use march 2. Magic - Cast (not available), Resistance - Below average Casting not available to Khazad-Dum Resistance is poor for Khazad-Dum Durin and King's champion both great targets for opponent Mardin and Captain only 1will each 3. Shooting - Addressed in Maneuverability/Board Presence 4. Courage - Excellent War Horn on Durin takes warriors to 5 Mardin has Sworn Protector Hearth Guard have bodyguard Could afford to give up some in this category to improve others 5. Other Tricks Shielding - Below Average, 13 out of 53 models Throwing Weapons - Fair, 8 have throwing Weapons Vault Warden Team - Can stall enemy heroes / Monsters, only 2 in list, could take more My Suggested Changes: Hitting Power As you identified fighting spear/pike walls can be an issue Increasing the number of Vault Wardens would be a big help To do this the number of hearth guard and iron can be reduced Maneuverability/Board Presence You identified that maneuverability was an issued and that the captain’s march helps Changing Mardin to a Dwarf King would provide an additional march for no points change The Dwarf King is also better in combat (+1Fight, +1Def), resisting magic (+1Will), option for throwing axe if you want You do lose 1might and the special spear, but a good opponent will avoid Mardin with monsters negating this, and we want march might. Bows haven't been maximize, so I would suggest doing that to increase board presence (The 1:1 ration of Ranger to Dwarf Warrior is good) Another thing to consider would be to add a Dwarf Ballista This would ensure that you have missile superiority, and bring enemies into you 18inch bow range (they can't out shoot you at 24inch) It also helps to disrupt spear walls, and occasionally may burn fate off heroes or kill monsters outright Also at this points level it can be hard for blinding light armies to cover all their troops Numbers - no specific suggestions, stay above 45 Might - As above, suggest Dwarf King instead of Mardin, to have 9Might, 4 March Magic - As above Mardin changed to Dwarf King would help resist magic a little better I also think the Captain can be upgraded to a Dwarf King also to improve this and also hitting power (due to increased fight value) Shooting - Addressed in Maneuverability/Board Presence Courage - Excellent, may give up some of this cate to improve others Other Tricks Shields - only 13 (25%) shields may be difficult to go non-lethal Change the 2 Dwarf Warriors with 2-Handed weapons to have shields Throwing Weapons - 8 is okay, I think can purchase more, see further optimizations Vault Wardens great at stalling heroes/monsters, could do with more ************************************************************ TL:DR *Summary Bigger Suggestions* Mardin and Dwarf Captain both changed to Dwarf King Increase number of Vault Wardens, to do this Reduce number of Hearth Guard, and Make them Khazad Guard (say to 6 or fewer) Reduce number of iron guard (say 2 per banner warband) Increase number of bows to limit, OR add Dwarf Ballista *Further Optimizations* Wargear Change Dwarf Warrior with 2-Handed to Shields (otherwise might as well upgrade to Khazad Guard) Put a Shield on the Banner Bearer Put Throwing weapons on the Dwarf Rangers (in addition to bows) For Iron Guard consider adding swapping swords for axes to allow piercing strike Consider not having throwing axes on Captain/King's to save points (can put on all rangers instead) Warband Make up Balance the numbers in each warband so there isn't one that's significantly weaker Ensure Sufficient Screening (about half of each warband) to block bow fire into Rangers/Iron Guard I would suggest putting all Iron Guard in warbands with banners (if sufficient screening) as this complements the 2A, 1Wound profile. A single Khazad Guard with 2-Handed Axe swapped to 2-Handed Hammer in each warband can threaten to support the warbands hero with a bash special strike on opposing enemy heroes to knock them down . All the best with this amazing faction. -Ant
Can I get your opinion on this list please? Warband 1 - The trolls (plus campfire) Warband 2 - Goblin King, Gollum, 3 goblins Warband 3 - Goblin Scribe, 10 goblins Warband 4 - Grinnah, 10 goblins Built around the idea of the goblins shielding the trolls and goblin king who'll do the killing, Gollums in there as a sneaky mindf**k for the enemy with the scribe summoning up new gobbos
I have been playing other GW games in tournaments for 15 years, but this is my first foray into middle-earth! How realistic is it to run an all-hero army in a competitive environment? I am looking forward to playing with a fellowship list, it seems like a challenge I wouldnt be able to experience in other games.

My 600 points army has changed warband 1 boromir with banner and shield 205 points, 6 warriors of minas tirith with shield 48 points , 7 rangers of minas tirith with spear 63 points, 2 knights of minas tirith with shield 24 points. Warband 2, faramir on armoured horse with heavy armour, bow and shield 110 points, 6 warriors of minas tirith with spear and shield 54 points , 6 citadel giard with spears 60 points, 2knights of minas tirith with shield 28 points. Overall 9 might 5 mounted models 8 bows 31 models. I think my 600 points army has some solid hitting power in boromir and faramir as heroes but aswell as the 4 knights and should be having 4 to 5 in fight value in spear support my 800 point army 13 might 15 bows and solid fight value.
Thanks for the comment! Both of these lists are really solid and can play every scenario. I like your updated 600 point list a lot more. but I would recommend keeping a few units that have bodyguard in Boromir's warband so that you are always confident that they will be able to charge a terrifying enemy. Also make sure that you give Faramir a lance it makes him way more deadly and will increase your hitting power by a lot In your 800 point list, again i reckon its really solid. The only change that I would make is giving Beregond a horse and spreading the knights across the warbands instead of having them all in one. These lists have a lot of potential!
Since you told us to leave a comment mentioning armies and asking how you'd play them, I'll go ahead and ask and hope you'll read comments on an old video haha. How would you play Grey Company? How about Men of the West?
Thanks for the comment. Interesting UA-cam fact regardless of how old the video is if you leave a comment in the UA-cam back end it appears the exact same was as if you comment on a new video. Those are two tough ones. In the Men of the West you have a lot of options, you have to start out with King Elessar who is always going to be solid and will be the rock of the army. I would take as many troops as I could with his warband. For the second hero I would seriously consider Legolas. He gives the army a really solid ranged threat and will allow you to kill enemy heroes horses so that they will also be infantry. New up is Prince Imrahil. I would take his warband with knights of Dol Amroth in the front and Minas Tirith Spearmen in the back. When you use your once per game +1 fight ability that will stack with Imrahil's +1 fight bubble for his knights meaning that you will have fight 6 troops. After them depending on how many points you have left I am a massive fan of Elladan and Elrohir. For thier cost they are great and while fighitng on foot they get an extra attack so its helpful that they are infantry in this legion. For Grey Company if I were to build it I would make sure to fully upgrade Strider. I would take Halbarad with the banner to support the rest of the army. After that you could try to horde out with as many Rangers as possible which would give you a lot of might and a lot of archery. If you take this approach in 750 points you will have 17 models and 21 might plus a free one per turn. I would be happy to blow this might quickly. Basically any opportunity to get a wound I would spend the might point and hopefully do a lot of damage early in the game and snipe out a hero or two. The other way to build it is with all heroes. At 750, the Three Hunters, Elledan and Elrohir, Halbarad with the banner, and two rangers of the north is solid and gives you a very solid shooting power. It will be hard to get objectives but you should be able to kill a lot of enemies and then jump on them in the late game. I would just keep the rangers safe and sit them on objectives while the big hero's go to work on the enemy army. Thanks again for the comment hopefully these thoughts are helpful!
@ConquestCreations oh, what are your thoughts on an all hero Men of The West with maybe some Knights of Dol Amroth? And would Gandalf ever be worth it? The last question I expect to be a no, but I'm curious what you think. My thought with the first question is maximizing the amount of models that can reach F6 or higher by adding in more heroes, allowing this army to actually match elves
So this basically discounts the (Khazad) Dwarves? Minimal manoeuvrability, low numbers. Expensive heroes so low might. Magic, only with Stonehand? Hitting power seems good tho. Do people play them at tournaments and do they win? Maybe Iron Hills are somewhat better?
I want to run a non-LL alternative to the Army of Gothmog at 750pts. Not startlingly original, I know, but how viable does this sound? And just one side question: do you know if the re-rolls from Gothmog's 'the Time of the Orc has Come' stack with the Mordor army bonus to re-roll 1s to wound? I know there's probably an answer buried somewhere in the FAQs but thought I might as well ask here first. Thanks. Warband 1: - Gothmog w/warg and shield - 3 warg rider w/shield and throwing spears - 8 morannons w/shield - 3 orcs w/spear (2 w/shields) - 1 orc w/banner Warband 2: - Gorbag w/shield - 7 morannons w/shield - 4 orcs w/spear - 1 tracker Warband 3: - Grishnakh w/shield - 6 morannons w/shield - 3 orcs/spear - 3 trackers Warband 4: - Kardush - 6 morannons w/shields - 3 orcs w/spear - 3 trackers Warband 5: - Orc Drummer 56 models, 10 might, 7 bows
This is a super solid horde army! I really like that you have a banner, a drummer, and kardush. That will take regular plain orcs to a new level. I reckon I would take quite a few more spears in the army. Becuase you have so many model you often wont be able to get your base into fight an enemy so having more spears will allow you to leverage your numbers advantage even more. Personally I am not the biggest fan of Grishnak. I would choose to take either Guritz or Zagdush but they are forge world so are harder models to get a hold of. I think this armies weakness is going to be stopping big threats like Aragorn, Boromir, or Azog so you need to be really careful with your heroes that have heroic strike. They need to be in the right position to counter those heros
Hi Thanks for the comment welcome to the game! Sauron is awesome! To play him at 750 points I would take a big horde of orcs with a wardrum, banner, some warg riders, and a shaman. That gives you a few points to play around with still. If you want to play something more competitive but a bit more challenging to use include shelob. She is awesome! Another option would be to add in a troll. If you take a troll you can give it the drums and your whole army can move very quickly
@@ConquestCreations I agree. I played Barad Dur on 700p, 800p and 1000p on tournaments in germany. One way to play Barad Dur is to play an Orc horde like Jakob mentioned. The other way is to play more Elite with a second hitter like the Witch king on fell beast or cheaper a Marshall of the Black Numenorians. Troops should be black Numenorians, Morgul Knights and an Troll Drummer. I would always include 2,3 Orctrackers for same lucky shots to diamount heroes. Especially shoot in combat and with luck the Mega hero loses his mount. This can be brutal and the enemy can do nothing about hit. If you have a bit for competitive experience you can also try all "hero". I played at 800p Sauron, Witch King on fell beast, 2 Mordor Trolls. The list sounds silly but actually I was quite successful. Always check the scenarios which are played and how the tournament determines who can choose the armies, good vs evil or good VS good etc. Good luck and have fun
Hi mate, I have a little strange doubt about one rule of the Balrog. His fiery lash states that if he hits but not kills his target, then it is moved in base contact whit him. If he shoot into a combat, that this last part also apply? I mean if he can unengaged the miniature from the combat he is already in. Also, in the case in which he hits his ally, he could act like a lifeguard, making it impossible to take a Heoric Combat in a good position. I dont know if in any of your matches you dealed with this situation. I thank a lot an answer!
Exactly! I have done this before. It puts you in a really good position where you have a win win situation. It is a rare situation to be in through because the Balrog can't be in combat to throw his whip in the shooting phase and usually he will always be fighting. The Balrog is such an awesome model to use
@@ConquestCreations I was facing a dweller in the dark who charged Imrahil and a Captain. I was going to declare Heroic Strike and Heroic Combat with the cap, killing the beast and charging another minis or the Balrog in the case I roll a 4 (Fight 10 on Imrahil). But the balrog hits the dweller and he ran out the combat, making it impossible for me to do something. So bad luck then. Thanks for answering!
@@rodrigodiaz3765 Oh that is awesome! I hadn't of even thought to use it in the combat phase! That is awesome, well played to your opponent! just make sure they only use it once per turn
@@ConquestCreations he did that on the shoot phase cause he has entered later (we were playing reconnoitre) so was unable to charge. I thought that if I was in combat, i didn't go to his side. Well to know it is possible
Is that angmar tournament list you spoke about near the end quite right? I calculated the total points cost because I wanted to try it and it’s just short of 800 points not 750
I may have misspoken in the video. Here is the full 750 point list Warband 1 led by The Witch King of Angmar with Horse and Crown of Morgul (3/15/3) (160 points) 7 x Angmar Orc Warrior with Shield (42 points) 4 x Angmar Orc Warrior with Shield and Spear (28 points) 5 x Angmar Orc Warrior with Orc Bow (30 points) 1 x Angmar Orc Warrior with Banner and Shield (31 points) Warband 2 led by Barrow Wright (50 points) 7 x Angmar Orc Warrior with Shield (42 points) 4 x Angmar Orc Warrior with Shield and Spear (28 points) Warband 3 led by Gûlavhar, the Terror of Arnor (200 points) 3 x Dead Marsh Spectre (45 points) Warband 4 led by Angmar Orc Captain with Shield and Warg (55 points) 3 x Angmar Warg Rider with Shield and Throwing Spear (39 points)
Conquest Creations awesome thanks for the reply, I think it was actually my bad, I added witch king on fell beast in my head out of habit which made it 800
Return of the King Legendary Legion 700 pts Warband 1: Aragorn w/ Anduril and Cloak Warrior of the Dead w/ Shield x4 Warrior of the Dead w/ Shield & Spear x 2 Rider of the Dead Warband 2: King of the Dead Warrior of the Dead w/ Shield x4 Warrior of the Dead w/ Shield & Spear x 2 Rider of the Dead Warband 3: Legolas w/ Armor and Cloak Warrior of the Dead w/ Shield x4 Warrior of the Dead w/ Shield & Spear x 2 699 Points, 23 Models. The low model count makes me wonder if I should ditch Legolas to add another 6 Warriors. His shooting sure would be nice, though.
I reckon you definetly want to keep legolas he adds a lot to the list. This list is always going to be super eliet and low numbers but you make up for it with terror and really powerful heroes. Legolass counters so many things in this game. By killing enemy heroes horses he reduced their hitting power by so much and allows your basic troops to tie them up
Hi! I am thinking to start a Moria army and I like very much the dweller in the dark model but it seems nobody uses it, is there any way to be competitive with the dweller or should I bring something else, i'm totally new to the game btw.
A lot of the time its a choice between the Dweller and the Cave troll. They play similar roles. The Dweller is definetly good, its just very low defence so you need to keep it safe from shooting. Is fight 7 is awesome because it out fights most heroes in the game. If you are jus starting out begin by playing what you think looks the coolest and you will learn how to make it powerful
How would this for 800 points do? Imladris and Numenor - 36 models, 3 bands, 12 bows, 3 horses, 7 might Glorfindel w/ Armor of Gondolin on Asfaloth (Leader) 1x Knight of Imladris w/ Shield 13x High elves, 1x w/ spear and banner, 6x w/ spear and bow, 6x w/ spear and shield Cirdan 6x High elves w/ spear and shield Isildur w/ shield and the one ring on horse 13x Numenorian, 1x w/ spear and banner, 5x w spear and bow, 7x w/ spear and shield
This army is going to be very powerful. Cirdan is a very strong hero that buffs the whole army so much. This is the kind of army list that can definitely win tournaments. I love that you have 2 banners that is very important to this list. I would also make sure that when you deploy you mix your elves and Numenorians together so the elf spears are supporting in Numenorians and the Numenorian Spears are supporting the elves. This way your whole army gets fight 5. The only thing that I think I would change is I would include 2 or 3 more knights that can run off and grab objectives. Good List!
I'm fairly new and have gone in for the Elves. Rivendell and Lothlorien combined. I don't really know where to start on making a competent list so wondering what makes the actual core I should build around?
Hey man thanks for the comment. Rivendell and Galadrim warriors are very similar and having a solid core of them is a good place to start. I would recomend taking a warband or two of warriors with a banner bearer. A handful of cavalry either Rivendell knights or galadrim knights. Include 2 or 3 wood elf sentinels and then pick whichever heroes you like the most. 500 points is a good place to start. A fun 500 point beginner army could be: Haldir (heavy armour, bow) - 85 5 galadrhim warriors with shield - 50 4 galadrhim warriors with shield and spear - 44 2 wood elf sentinels - 50 2 galadrim knight with bow - 42 Erestor - 85 4 Rivendell warriors with shield - 40 3 Rivendell warriors with spear and shield - 33 1 Rivendell warrior with spear, shield, banner - 36 4 Rivendell warriors with bow - 44 This army isn't the most powerful list to run but I think its a really good way to learn the game and some of the other heroes require more experience to get the most out of them. From this army you could easily change around the heroes to make it fit bigger points as well. You could for example swap Haldir for Galadriel and Erestor for Elrond or Glorfindel.
@@ConquestCreations Thank you! Based on the video and this list I'm looking to create two shield walls with the banner nearby to maximise attacks and the knights to do objective work. The Sentinels try to use their ability to move key enemy models around such as ones who have snuck behind me to trap?
@@sirbobulous with your sentinels you want to move your enemies out of position. If they have a troll you can make it move away from you army. Orc on there regular troops you can pull them forwards and surround them with many of your models to get easy kills
jeez dude, i like these videos so much, grwat job my list is this for a 700 point tournament Imrahil on Horse and Lance 8 Knight of Dol Amroth on horse with lance Duinhir 6 blackroot vale archer with spear 2 blackroot vale archer Forlong the fat on Horse 8 Knight of Dol Amroth on Horse with lance
This list is going to be brutal! Thanks for the comment! I am not a massive fan of the warband with Dunhir and the black root vale archers. I reckon that they will be a massive target and they wont be able to keep up with the rest of the army. Also if the cavalry charge forwards and engage in combat then the archers wont be able to shoot in. I would either take a few less knights and include more foot troops. Maybe swap out Forlongs warband for knights on foot and some men at arms. Or another option would be to drop the warband with Dunhir and ally in a hero from Minas Tirith. Personally I reckon this would be the perfect list for Gandalf the White. It would decrease your numbers by a lot but it would give you defence against shooting and a decent way to damage your enemy from range by targeting their key heroes with sorcerous blast. Also it would allow you to nullify monsters which love hurling through cavalry armies. What do you think?
@@ConquestCreations thanks for your feedback! i put in some foot knight and men at arms, i guess now, this list is better if you do not mind, i have an another list, with sharku legendary legion: Sharku 4 Warg Rider with bow and shield 4 Warg Rider with shield 4 Warg Rider with sield and throwing spear Orc Captain with Bow Shield and Warg 1 Warg Rider with bow and shield 2 Warg Rider with shield 2 Warg Rider with throwing spear and shield 6 Wild Warg 2x Orc Shaman on warg 2 Warg rider with bow and shield 2 Warg Rider with shield 2 Warg Rider with throwing spear and shield 650 point im a relatively new player, so im unsure sometimes, if i build a list
@@laszlomate2872 Sharku's legion is one that I am excited to use! I would take just one shaman and swap the other one into a captain and drop a few models to include a banner and give every warg rider a throwing spear. It makes them a lot stronger and your whole army will be a ranged threat. I think this army will still struggle to be competitive overall because the highest fight value is 4 but it will be a lot of fun. I think its best at low points levels
So I know it's been a week since you posted this but curious what you think of this Isengard 600 pt list Warband 1 Lurtz, leader - 90pts Isengard troll 2x Berzerkers 4x Uruk Hai warrior w/ pike 2x Uruk Hai Warrior w/ crossbow Uruk Hai Warrior w/ banner Warband 2 Uruk Hai Captain w/shield 65pts 2x Uruk Hai Warrior w/shield 4x Uruk Hai Warrior w/pike 1x Uruk Hai Warrior w/crossbow Warband 3 Vrasku 65pts 2x Uruk Hai warrior w/ shield 4x Uruk Hai Warrior w/ pike 1x Uruk Hai Warrior w/crossbow Total models 27 - 598 pts
Nice solid list This list will be straight forwards to play and have a decent chance at every scenario. I think there are a few ways that it could be improved. Personally I am not the biggest fan of trolls. I find that often they are targets for big heroes. I would consider dropping the troll to bring in an Uruk Hai drummer and some more troops, or bringing in Mahur and a handful of scouts with the Maurader upgrade so they can grab objectives. This will make your army a lot more manoeuvrable. If you do use the troll let me know what you think of it and if you get your points worth from it
@@ConquestCreations had a trial game with it yesterday, vsing Khazad-Dum, did have some model count issues however the trolls hurl came in handy, killing a banner and helping kill some prone models and drawing attention away from my objectives. Rend is also particularly useful against big heroes if I can win a fight, in my opinion, but I'll trial it a bit more and see how I go. Going to be swapping some pikes for more shields though

Hi! Im a Great fan of your videos! Loved this one! I playing against my 2 friends this thursday , my first game ever, 600p of Lothlorien, vs 2 300p mordor lists What do ypu think of my list? My list is Celeborn - Heavy armour, Elven sword and shield 5 Galadhrim with Spears and Shields 1 Galadhrim with shield and baner 2 Galadhrim Guard with swords and shield 3 Galadhrim knights with Shields Haldir - Elven bow, Elven cloak, heavy armour 6 Galadhrim - Bows 1 Galadhrim - banner 2 Galadhrim Knights - bows, Shields My list worth 594 points :) 4 Galadhrim Guard with swords
Its a great place to start there a few little changes the I would make. firstly I would 2 or 3 guard of galadhrim court. They get fight 6 which is so helpful when taking down heroes. Next I would bring in a woodelf sentinel. These guys give you so much control over the enemy. And finally I would give your knights bows rather than shields. My thinking there is that they will be running around and taking objectives in some games. In those games where they are sitting on an objective they can still do damage to the enemy from a distance. This list will look so good on the table the galadhrim models are so good!
I was wondering if I could get some advice on how to improve my Serpent horde/ Far Harad 750 point 42 model list. War band 1 290 points Suladin with horse Serpent rider x5 Warriors with bow and spear x7 Merchant guard x3 Watcher of carna with twin blades x3 War band 2 220 points The betrayer on horse Warriors with bow x6 Serpent guard x4 Warriors with bow and spear x2 War band 3 240 points Mahud King on camel with shield and spear Half troll with 2 handed weapon x3 Mahud warrior with banner x1 Mahud warrior with blowpipes x5 Thanks.
Rohirrim are pretty bad without using Legendary Legions. I would recommend you to have a look at riders of theoden and defenders of helms deep legions. For both of them you need Theoden on foot and on horse which you can get second hand because it's in a starter set. Theoden, Gimli and Legolas (common and cheap minis on ebay/etc) with 24 rohirrim footmen (1 box of warriors, which you need in 100% cavalry armies too) are decent 500 - 600 points force with 2 high quality fighting heroes, and cheap troops to inflate your numbers. Expand on that when you figure out what you want to play.
Rohan is great there are so many options on how to play it. If you have started with the starter kit I owuld recomend adding in gamling and eomer and using the Riders of Theoden Legnedary legion (Gondor at War). Its super powerful!
Yeah your gonna need to get some hero's ad Theoden isn't the best killy hero someone like eowyn and merry because their cheap and powerful for a hero or eomer who is the tank of rohan also maybe some royal guard because they get some great buffs from Theoden and a banner never goes a miss if you don't want to get gamling
Absolutely, Dwarves have a great tournament track record! Kazad-dum are probably the best performing because they are the most popular followed by Iron Hills because the goats give you a bit more speed and Dain is super strong
@@ConquestCreations Thanks for answer, I'm just beggining with this stuff. I have some old minis from my childhood and was thinking if I can make them work. It's difficult rn tho becouse there are not many khazad guards on market where I live hahs (probably becouse GW is out of stock :c )
Hey mate! serpent horde is awesome. I would recommend starting with Suladan on horse with some raiders and a captain or two with warriors of Harad with an even split of bows and spears. After that feel free to add in some watchers, Abrakhan guard, and some serpent guard.
Warband 1 6/15 Boromir, Captain of the White Tower with Horse; The Banner of Minas Tirith; Shield; 6 Knight of Minas Tirith with Shield; ---- Warband 2 10/15 Faramir, Captain of Gondor with Shield; Bow; 10 Ranger of Gondor with Spear; ---- Warband 3 12/12 Cirion, Lieutenant of Amon Barad 11 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield; Spear; 1 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Banner; Shield; ---- Warband 4 6/6 Beregond, Guard of the Citadel 6 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield; Spear; what do you think
This is definely a solid list. I can imagine it doing very well competativley. How you run it is going to be really important. I wouldn't charge Boromir and the knights away from the army to far. Boromir needs his banner to support the troops so have him central to your line and he will punch through anything and you will have a fight 5 shield wall if your rangers sit behind your troops. One change that I might make is changing Beregonds warband from warriors on mins tirith to Citadel guard. They are the same points cost but the citadel guard are one higher fight and get bodyguard just for loosing one defence. The body guard will help you tie up scary opponents like Nazgul or will give you confidence leaving them on objectives.
For Moria at 800 I would recomend the Moria army list in the video with a 3 more goblins and a Warg maurauder added in. Rohan at 800 points has so many options! If you want raw damage out put go for Riders of Theoden legendary legion with all the heroes and a handful of royal guard with throwing spears. This army list has done very very well.
@@alex231e9 There is a 750 point army in this video. I would start with that and then add in your favourite 100 points in moria. Personally I would add two warg marauders and a few extra goblins
What do you think of this Gondor list of 1000 points? Gandalf with Shadowfax 240 pts 11 MT warriors with shields 88 pts 1 MT warrior with banner 32 pts Faramir with heavy armor and bow 90 pts 9 MT warriors with shield, bow and spear 90 pts 1 Trebuchet with 2 crew member and on siege veteran 80 pts 1 Gondor avenger bolt thrower with swift reload 70 pts Imrahil with armoured horse and lance 160 pts 6 knights of Dol Amorth with armoured horse and lance and 1 war horn 150 pts
Hey man thanks for the comment! Personally I am not a fan of using siege engines in the game because there are some scenarios where they are super powerful and other scenarios where they do nothing. I also don't think they have many tactics. I reckon I would swap them out for Forlong the Fat on horse leading a group of Men at Arms. This would let you drop the warhorn off the knights of Dol amroth so you could take some more numbers. Then you have a super solid infantry core that could march up the table while Gandalf, Forlong, Imrahil and the knights could run off and take out major enemy models.
Great video! I will most certainly be checking out your store. I am part of a 500pt leauge, using Isenguard. Ugluk Troll w/ spear Scout w/ banner 6 warriors w/ pike 4 warriors w/ shield Vrasku 7 crossbows 5 warriors w/ shield From what I understood from your video, I traded mobility for killing power, and I have a middling number of models at this point value. Ill take comments from anyone!
Thanks for the comment! I really like Isengard. Personally I am not the biggest fan of trolls I find that big heroes can kill them really easily. I reckon your army would be more powerful if you swapped it out for Mahur and a handful of maurader scouts Mahur still hits really hard with 3 attacks but he gives you some movment 8 troops that are super key to objectives
@@ConquestCreations thanks for replying! I played against the Return of the King LL in our leauge, lets say a lot of my lists weaknesses got pointed out to me.......
Is the camera "cutting in half" the light from the screen reflected in his eyes? do I not understand how light (and physics overall) works? am I drunk? or all of the aforementioned? dunno... great vid :D Will be able to crush my gf on the kitchen table battlefield and finally steal all the fun :D I'll consider it a win only once she regret accepting playing with me! With... hahaha, fools, AGAINST! or maybe I'll be, not sure, but maybe, unless she watched this... Do you know if she watched it? Please tell me she didn't...
These minis have gone through hundreds of games and been transported all around the country. With models this well used breakages are a part of life. Every now and then Ill do a big fix up of my armies but this video happened in-between fix ups
so..."is Khazaddum just tucked?" no spears, no cav, no magic, no good shooting, no green allies. Because of fluff reasons. Never liked that fluff influences this games balance as much as it does. Why would I ever play Khazaddum over iron hills? Besides fluff reasons? Options are power. And many armies lack options because of *old army and fluff reasons* ...
Kazadum has quite a lot going for it. Recently at a 40 person Australian Tournament they came in at second place. Kazadum lacks mobility and spears but it makes up for it in other ways. The Dwarven heros are awesome. Particularly the Kings Champion is one of the most under costed models in the game. You troops are super high defence meaning its super hard to shift you off objectives. Your troops can hit like a truck, particulary Hearth Guard and iron guard. The shooting is actually decent, you have the option to go for rangers who can also take throwing weapons or long bows or regular warriors who have access to strength 3 bows. Also you have the dwarven balista. Kazadum armies are relatively high model count. Becuause the key heros are such a bargain and you aren't taking many big expensive units your numbers can get really high. This is also defence against magic becuase you will always have multiple heros which cant all be shut down at once unlike the iron hills where dain will always be the magic target. They will always have significantly more models than the iron hills. This help with your lack of mobility because you can be in many places on the board at once. Kazadum and Iron Hills have very different play styles. Iron Hills wants to sit in a block whereas Kazadum can spread out and prioritises getting traps and manuvering and using the heroes to blunt enemy hard hitters. There is an argument that Iron Hills are 'better' but ultimately they are just different. Kazadum has heaps of options in it there are plenty of troops choices and two different hero load outs that you can go for. Fluff doesn't impact the game balance the game is built around the fluff and then the factions are balanced. Middle Earth is in an awesome place where almost every tournament is won by different lists and different play styles. The game is super balanced and a players skill is far more important than their list. There are some armies such as Arnor that do lack options because they are old but Arnor is still a very playable faction becuase the synergies that they have
@@ConquestCreations well, Durin will always be the target here. Durin+Champion are 300 points, if you take hearthguard and berserkers aswell (plus the many other great heroes?) Then you wont have numbers. The ballista will shoot like 4 or max 5 and will hit 2or 3 times. Very hard to make up for its points no? It also limits your numbers even further. I Dont know man. Not convinced^^. How does this Army win any fight vs elves with spears?
@@Jewus19 Durin will always be the target but then the Kings Champion and the sheild bearer can go around getting free heroic combats. After your initial warbands or elite troops captains with regular warriors are an absolute steal. The Balista is not used to get kills, it is used to force the emeny to charge you. It will very rarely get its points back in kills but the tactical advantage that it give you is massive. This fixes a lot of your slow movement issues because your enemy will have to go to you. This army is alright to go up against elves. You will most definitely out number them after they get a few heroes. They will need 6's to kill you while you need 5's or 4's with your hearth guard to kill them. If you run straight into them they will win a vast majority of the fights but if you leverage your numbers and surround them and go for traps there spears can only be in one place at a time and in each combat you will have significantly high odds of killing them than they have of killing you Durins Folk aren't my favorite faction in the game and definetly wouldn't be my pick for the strongest profile but I have played against them and have used enough similar armies to know that they definetly have a place in the competative scene
@@ConquestCreations i will try. :) i also would really enjoy a khazad dum Tips or battlereport Video to get some ideas on the Details of wielding this seemingly underdog faction. Maybe even you whos piloting them hehe. Maybe you can add it to the list of Future Videos? Best regards!
@@Jewus19 I'll definitely get it on I have my own army but I haven't even started painting it yet but I have a few mates with Kazadum armies. I'll get them on soon for a battle report with lots of tactical break downs
Another thing to note with bows is they can still take a spear, so u can upgrade a few without Sacrificing defense and still use them in combat
“If I have more bows than my opponent”
- Rangers of Ithilien LL “Allow us to introduce ourselves”
Hahahaha very very true
Great video, may I ask, where did you get those elvish looking treehouses?
Made a 750pt morder/serpent horde list before watching this, think it fits quite well. It's part made to be good but also fun for me and what I like. Would really appreciate your opinion.
1. Witch king (leader) - 3/15/3 : armoured horse, crown of morgul
• 3 x Morgul knights with lance
• 4 x warg riders with shield and throwing spears
2. Suludan the serpent lord with armoured horse
• 3 x Merchant guards
• 6 x watchers of karna with twin blades
• 8 x Haradrim warriors with spears
• 1 x Haradrim warrior with war horn
3. Haradrim Chieftain with bow and poison
• 6 x Haradrim warriors with spears and bows
4. Haradrim Task master
• 6 x Haradrim warriors with spears and bows
WB 1
Theoden, King of Rohan with armoured horse; Heavy armor; Shield
5 Riders of Rohan
3 Riders of Rohan with Throwing Spears
1 Rider of Rohan with Throwing Spear and Banner
3 Royal Guards with Horse; Throwing spears
WB 2
Deorwine, Chief of the King's Knights with Horse
5 Riders of Rohan
3 Riders of Rohan with Throwing Spears
2 Rohan Outriders with Horse
WB 3
Ghan-Buri-Ghan
15 Woses warriors
Units: 40 Total points: 749 Might: 9 Bows: 22 Blowpipes: 16 Throwing spears: 10
What could I improve?
Enjoying the videos your putting out! This is my first attempt to make a competitive list. What do you think of this 800pts army of Angmar?
Warband 1: Witch king w/ 3/16/3 stats, fellbeast, and crown - 4 orcs w/ bow, 2 orcs w/shield, 2 orcs w/spear
Warband 2: the Tainted w/ armored horse - 5 orcs w/ shield, 5 orcs w/spear, 2 orcs w/ 2HW, orc banner, 2 spectres
Warband 3: Barrow Wright - 4 orcs w/shield, 4 orcs w/spear, orcs w/2HW, 2 spectres
Warband 4: Barrow Wright - 4 orcs w/shield, 4 orcs w/spear, orcs w/THW, 2 spectres
51 models total, break point: 26
Nuclear deterrent even if you never use it
Built this list for a recent tournament at 700pts:
Saruman
-Grima (option to deploy with my opponent)
-3 Berserkers
-5 Warriors with shields
-7 Warriors with pikes
-1 Warrior with pike and banner
Mauhur
-5 Marauders with shields
Thrydan Wolfsbane on horse
-10 Scouts with Uruk-Hai bows
35 models, 7 are 8"+ movement, 10 S3 bows and Sorcerous Blast, pots of S4
List I have been working on is as follows:
Warband 1
WK- 3 Might 6Will 3 fate. Crown armoured horse
5 black Nums
6 Morannons- shield spear
4 Morgul knights
Warband 2
Gorbag-Sheild
7 Morannons- shield spear
1 Morannons- shield
Warband 3
Kardush
4 trackers
Warband 4
Shagrat- Armour, sheild
5 black nums
6 Morannons- shield spear
1 morrannon- shield spear banner
800 points
43 models
One thing I am always unsure of is what best way to structure warbands.
Conquest Creations thanks for the advice! If I was to include the Morgul blade what do you think would be worth dropping for it?
great video as always, I wld like to see more rangers/grey company forces as I feel like they fulfill most of these criteria with aragorns free turnly heroic march and halbarads 6 inch fearless banner plus every model has bows.
Your website looks great! I'll definitely use those wooden plank bases when I start collecting the Corsairs of Umbar!
Thanks for the feedback! Buying the bases makes a massive difference to the channel. I am trying to eventually make Conquest Creations a full time job at the moment we are a long way off so your support would help heaps!
Thanks for the video dude, good timing too, going to my first tournament soon so need some list tips!
I appreciate the comment! Good luck for the tournament
@@ConquestCreations thanks! I'll post my list when I'm done for critique. also thanks for dealing with the "other" comments 👍
Love your videos! Do not think you have forgotten anything, the phrase "if an army has a trick, you should use it" covers most facts about this game xD
I have build an army list around my favourite character (Glorfindel) and one of the most underestimated factions ingame: Arnor.
Basically my ideas:
The List:
-Glorfindel on Asfaloth with Armour of Gondolin
3× Knights of Rivendell with shield
5x High Elves Warriors with shield
- Arvedui
1x Warrior of Arnor with banner
5x Warrior of Arnor
3x Rangers of Arnor with spears
- Malbeth
5x Warrior of Arnor
3x Rangers of Arnor
600 points, 28 miniatures, 9 bows (3 elves, 6 men), 7 might
I love this list!
I was thinking about a list for an upcoming 950 points tournament:
Aragorn, King Elessar (Armoured Horse)
6 WoMT (Shield)
7 WoMT (Shield, Spear)
5 Knights (Shield)
Madril
5 Rangers
7 Rangers (Spear)
King of the Dead
3 Warrior of the Dead (Shield)
2 Warrior of the Dead (Shield, Spear)
1 Warrior of the Dead (Shield, Spear, Banner)
Herald of the Dead
2 Warrior of the Dead (Shield)
3 Warrior of the Dead (Shield, Spear)
Elessar gives his bubble, might machine and killing power, knights are for manouverability, flanking, and objective grabs, Madril brings decent shooting with his warband, march, and really helps in maelstrom deployment with his special rule, the dead also bring awesome killing power and the king can be a huge threat to any monsters and big heroes.

I want to take part in a 600P Good v Evil tournament, I would be my first tounament (and it will only take place after Covid), but I am really looking forward to it
600P The Serpent Horde and Mordor - 32 models, 3 warbands, 13 bows, 4 horses, 8 might

Gamling with royal Banner on horse
2x Royal Guard with throwing spears on horses
5x Rider of Rohan with throwing spears
Deorwine on horse
1x Rider of Rohan with throwing spears
Do you have any thougths on them?
You evil list is a really good list, you have the mobility with the cavalry, the hitting power with the abrakhand guard, the courage defence with a lot of courage 4, the courage attack with the black numenorians with the Shadow Lord, and you are totally safe from shooting. I like that you chose Gorbag He is often looked over but is seriously good for his points. I dont think there is anything I would change about the list
Riders of Theoden is an interesting one.
Noice!!!! I need to build myself a full cav army. Any suggestions? Maybe a video?
How many points Rohan is a basic but nice option especially because riders with bow don't count to you bow limit or wolves of isengard (legendary legions) is at 500 points is also a fun option but they have the problem of no real good heroes just 1 named heroes
Riders of Theoden LL is a good shout
My army I want to bring
Warband 1:
Witch king(Leader)with full might,19 will, full fate, fell beast, morgal crown, and morgul blade - 235
12 Morannon orcs - 6 with shield 6 with shield and spear. -102
2 orc trackers - 10
1 troll with drum - 130

9 Morannon orcs 3 with shield 6 with shield and spear - 77
2 orc trackers - 10

Thinking about getting into the game, I was thinking of a halls of thranduil list, was just going to buy 1 box of each unit, except the armoured elves
I would really appreciate your feedback on a 600 points fiefdoms list I will run in a blue vs blue tournament:
WB1
Imrahil on armored horse with lance
5 knights of dol amroth with armored horse and lance
4 men-at-arms of dol amroth
4 blackroot vale archers
4 blackroot vale archers with spear
1 clansmen of lamedon
WB2
Forlong the fat on horse
6 knights of dol amroth on foot
6 men-at-arms of dol amroth
2 axemen of lossarnach
600 points - 6 might - 34 models - 8 bows
I think it is pretty good for what regards hitting power, manoeuvrability (although could suffer in malestorm of battle) and numbers.
I just put together a 700 point mordor list based on mobility
Mouth of Sauron
Orc x9
Warg rider x4
Guritz
Morannon x5
Morannon w banner
Orc x5
Troll w drum
Shagrat
Morannon x5
Orc x5
Warg rider x2
Got minimal magic but decent hitting power i think and can really blitz around with multiple sources of March and a drum.
Fantastic video! My only question is how do you decide which models go in which warband?
Good question! There are a few things that go into deciding. Firstly in Maelstrom of battle its good to have your resources spread evenly across your warbands so if one gets isolated you don't loose all of that kind of model. Another thing to keep in mind is what the warband is trying to do. If I am planning on charging is all of my cavalry then I will keep them all in a warband with a mounted hero where as if I am trying to just get objectives and be more manoeuvrable with them then I will have a handful in every warband.
@@ConquestCreations Thanks for the advice. I'm new to the game and this area of list construction is quite different to other wargames I have played.
Hey mate! Another great video, thx for your work! I have question for you - what do you think about my Minas Tirith, 800 points list? Any sugestions? Is it competetive?
I won a local turnament with it, but maybe can you help to improve it?
42 models in total, 10 bows, 10 might in heroes (+1 in both trebuchets)
Leader - Boromir, horse, shield, Banner
6 Fountain Guards,
6 WoMT shield, spear,
3 KoMT, shield,
Ingold,
6 WoMT shield,
6 Rangers of Gondor spear,
Beregond, horse,
2 Fountain Guards, shields
1 WoMT shield, spear,
3 Citaled guards, Elf bows,
2x Trebuchet

This would allow you to drop the banner because Aragorn acts as a 6" banner any way so you could include more models
What do you think?
@@ConquestCreations I have the 3 hunters to of course. I feel like Aragorn is steep for the 500 pt. In 800 I play him no doubt, sometimes even legolass for the ranged support. But at 500 pt I feel like we can't muster up the numbers to win. Sometimes I feel like AotD is a little too elite.
You know what I'll just test it out in a couple of games! I own 3k AotD anyway haha
It would help the presentation if the lists were shown on a graphic. As a newbie with Middle Earth I'm having trouble following the terminology.
Thanks for the comment. I might revise this video at some point in the future and I'll keep that in mind
Any input on this list would be great thanks

This is such a cool army list! I can't wait to see more of Dunland on the table. Crebain are the ultimate tool for claiming objectives although 4 is a lot. I might drop it down to 2 or 3 and bring some more numbers in if you have the warband space. I think this is about as good as a Dunland list can get! Good luck with it!
Heya man I'd love some feed back on these two lists if that's ok. This is for a Good v evil 600 point Tourniment where you bring two lists where you always play the opposite.

Hey mate. great video. fairly newish to the UK scene. my local group seems to prefer bigger games so I'm building up 1000p of Khazad-Dum
WB1- Durin
dwarf warrior with banner
3 Iron guards
13 Khazad guard all with Hearthguard
WB2- Mardin
4 dwarf warriors with shield
2 dwarf warriors with bow
2 Iron guards
2 Vault warden teams
WB3- Kings champion
5 dwarf warriors with shield
3 dwarf warriors with bow
2 iron guard
WB4- Captain with shield and throwing weapon
6 dwarf rangers with bows
2 dwarf warriors with 2 handed axes
The big problem I know I'm going to have is maneuverability since all my units have such low movement.
There is a TL:DR at the bottom though summarizing my suggestions
*Tactical Flexibility*
1. Hitting power - Great
Durin and King's Champion best hero options for this, good choice
Iron Guard and Vault Wardens good with strength 4
Hearth guard excellent with strength 4(+1 Burly), but very expensive
Standard Dwarf Warriors have axes for piercing strike
Very few Spears reduces ability to bring attacks to bear
3-banners excellent
The whole force gets re-roll 1s to wound in combat for army bonus.
43 Strength 4+ attacks (16 burly/master forge +1), most can pierce
23 Strength 3 attacks, (2x 2-handed), all can pierce
2. Maneuverability/Board Presence - Below Average
Whole Army is 5 inch movement
Only 1 marching hero, with total of 2 marches per game
Only 11 bows (out of 16), some armies may have 20 or more shots
Throwing Weapons 8
3. Numbers - Good
You have 53 models
I think at 1000 points 45+ is good for Dwarfs
With such good staying power this is plenty to reduce flanking and provide board presence
*Resources and Tricks*
1. Might - Good
Your list has 10
Only 2 can use march
2. Magic - Cast (not available), Resistance - Below average
Casting not available to Khazad-Dum
Resistance is poor for Khazad-Dum
Durin and King's champion both great targets for opponent
Mardin and Captain only 1will each
3. Shooting - Addressed in Maneuverability/Board Presence
4. Courage - Excellent
War Horn on Durin takes warriors to 5
Mardin has Sworn Protector
Hearth Guard have bodyguard
Could afford to give up some in this category to improve others
5. Other Tricks
Shielding - Below Average, 13 out of 53 models
Throwing Weapons - Fair, 8 have throwing Weapons
Vault Warden Team - Can stall enemy heroes / Monsters, only 2 in list, could take more
My Suggested Changes:
Hitting Power
As you identified fighting spear/pike walls can be an issue
Increasing the number of Vault Wardens would be a big help
To do this the number of hearth guard and iron can be reduced
Maneuverability/Board Presence
You identified that maneuverability was an issued and that the captain’s march helps
Changing Mardin to a Dwarf King would provide an additional march for no points change
The Dwarf King is also better in combat (+1Fight, +1Def), resisting magic (+1Will), option for throwing axe if you want
You do lose 1might and the special spear, but a good opponent will avoid Mardin with monsters negating this, and we want march might.
Bows haven't been maximize, so I would suggest doing that to increase board presence
(The 1:1 ration of Ranger to Dwarf Warrior is good)
Another thing to consider would be to add a Dwarf Ballista
This would ensure that you have missile superiority, and bring enemies into you 18inch bow range (they can't out shoot you at 24inch)
It also helps to disrupt spear walls, and occasionally may burn fate off heroes or kill monsters outright
Also at this points level it can be hard for blinding light armies to cover all their troops
Numbers - no specific suggestions, stay above 45
Might - As above, suggest Dwarf King instead of Mardin, to have 9Might, 4 March
Magic - As above Mardin changed to Dwarf King would help resist magic a little better
I also think the Captain can be upgraded to a Dwarf King also to improve this and also hitting power (due to increased fight value)
Shooting - Addressed in Maneuverability/Board Presence
Courage - Excellent, may give up some of this cate to improve others
Other Tricks
Shields - only 13 (25%) shields may be difficult to go non-lethal
Change the 2 Dwarf Warriors with 2-Handed weapons to have shields
Throwing Weapons - 8 is okay, I think can purchase more, see further optimizations
Vault Wardens great at stalling heroes/monsters, could do with more
************************************************************
TL:DR
*Summary Bigger Suggestions*
Mardin and Dwarf Captain both changed to Dwarf King
Increase number of Vault Wardens, to do this
Reduce number of Hearth Guard, and Make them Khazad Guard (say to 6 or fewer)
Reduce number of iron guard (say 2 per banner warband)
Increase number of bows to limit, OR add Dwarf Ballista
*Further Optimizations*
Wargear
Change Dwarf Warrior with 2-Handed to Shields (otherwise might as well upgrade to Khazad Guard)
Put a Shield on the Banner Bearer
Put Throwing weapons on the Dwarf Rangers (in addition to bows)
For Iron Guard consider adding swapping swords for axes to allow piercing strike
Consider not having throwing axes on Captain/King's to save points (can put on all rangers instead)
Warband Make up
Balance the numbers in each warband so there isn't one that's significantly weaker
Ensure Sufficient Screening (about half of each warband) to block bow fire into Rangers/Iron Guard
I would suggest putting all Iron Guard in warbands with banners (if sufficient screening) as this complements the 2A, 1Wound profile.
A single Khazad Guard with 2-Handed Axe swapped to 2-Handed Hammer in each warband can threaten to support the warbands hero with a bash special strike on opposing enemy heroes to knock them down
.
All the best with this amazing faction.

Wow Awesome comment here! I thanks for leaving it! I have a Durins Folk army that I am planning on doing soon and I'll definetly take this advice
@@ConquestCreations Your video was really great inspiration to think things through step by step.
Can I get your opinion on this list please?
Warband 1 - The trolls (plus campfire)
Warband 2 - Goblin King, Gollum, 3 goblins
Warband 3 - Goblin Scribe, 10 goblins
Warband 4 - Grinnah, 10 goblins
Built around the idea of the goblins shielding the trolls and goblin king who'll do the killing, Gollums in there as a sneaky mindf**k for the enemy with the scribe summoning up new gobbos
I have been playing other GW games in tournaments for 15 years, but this is my first foray into middle-earth! How realistic is it to run an all-hero army in a competitive environment? I am looking forward to playing with a fellowship list, it seems like a challenge I wouldnt be able to experience in other games.

Thanks for the comment!
Both of these lists are really solid and can play every scenario. I like your updated 600 point list a lot more. but I would recommend keeping a few units that have bodyguard in Boromir's warband so that you are always confident that they will be able to charge a terrifying enemy. Also make sure that you give Faramir a lance it makes him way more deadly and will increase your hitting power by a lot
In your 800 point list, again i reckon its really solid.
@ConquestCreations that is awesome advice, thank you. Hopefully I can have some close games at least with this advice!
GG for Gandalf's broken staff.
Can you give me some tips on playing Mordor please? I have mordor side of osgiliath box, witch king, morannon orc command and morgul knights
Thanks.
Warband 1:
- Gothmog w/warg and shield
- 3 warg rider w/shield and throwing spears
- 8 morannons w/shield
- 3 orcs w/spear (2 w/shields)
- 1 orc w/banner
Warband 2:
- Gorbag w/shield
- 7 morannons w/shield
- 4 orcs w/spear
- 1 tracker
Warband 3:
- Grishnakh w/shield
- 6 morannons w/shield
- 3 orcs/spear
- 3 trackers
Warband 4:
- Kardush
- 6 morannons w/shields
- 3 orcs w/spear
- 3 trackers
Warband 5:
- Orc Drummer
56 models, 10 might, 7 bows
Hi new player here I have a beautiful sauron model and wish to use him in a 700-750 point list any suggestions, thanks great vid by the way!
Also, in the case in which he hits his ally, he could act like a lifeguard,
making it impossible to take a Heoric Combat in a good position.

By killing enemy heroes horses he reduced their hitting power by so much and allows your basic troops to tie them up
@@ConquestCreations Thanks for the advice!
I’d argue a good player with a bad list will ‘often’ beat a bad player with a good list, not ‘always’
Imladris and Numenor - 36 models, 3 bands, 12 bows, 3 horses, 7 might
Glorfindel w/ Armor of Gondolin on Asfaloth (Leader)
1x Knight of Imladris w/ Shield
13x High elves, 1x w/ spear and banner,
6x w/ spear and bow,
6x w/ spear and shield
Cirdan
6x High elves w/ spear and shield
Isildur w/ shield and the one ring on horse
13x Numenorian, 1x w/ spear and banner,
5x w spear and bow,
7x w/ spear and shield
This army is going to be very powerful. Cirdan is a very strong hero that buffs the whole army so much. This is the kind of army list that can definitely win tournaments. I love that you have 2 banners that is very important to this list. I would also make sure that when you deploy you mix your elves and Numenorians together so the elf spears are supporting in Numenorians and the Numenorian Spears are supporting the elves. This way your whole army gets fight 5. The only thing that I think I would change is I would include 2 or 3 more knights that can run off and grab objectives. Good List!
@@ConquestCreations Thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure to include more knights. Very helpful video and answer. Great content!
Hello. Very interesting for a noob like me. Thanks.
I checked your shop. It's almost empty... a house and plans for a siege tower...
It's empty for now but we recently did a big Kickstarter that will be moving to the store hopefully in the next few days
A fun 500 point beginner army could be:
Haldir (heavy armour, bow) - 85
5 galadrhim warriors with shield - 50
4 galadrhim warriors with shield and spear - 44
2 wood elf sentinels - 50
2 galadrim knight with bow - 42
Erestor - 85
4 Rivendell warriors with shield - 40
3 Rivendell warriors with spear and shield - 33
1 Rivendell warrior with spear, shield, banner - 36
4 Rivendell warriors with bow - 44
This army isn't the most powerful list to run but I think its a really good way to learn the game and some of the other heroes require more experience to get the most out of them.
@@ConquestCreations Thank you again :)
jeez dude, i like these videos so much, grwat job
my list is this for a 700 point tournament
Imrahil on Horse and Lance
8 Knight of Dol Amroth on horse with lance
Duinhir
6 blackroot vale archer with spear
2 blackroot vale archer
Forlong the fat on Horse
8 Knight of Dol Amroth on Horse with lance
@@ConquestCreations thanks for your feedback!
i put in some foot knight and men at arms, i guess now, this list is better
if you do not mind, i have an another list, with sharku legendary legion:

Orc Shaman on warg

im a relatively new player, so im unsure sometimes, if i build a list
@@laszlomate2872 Sharku's legion is one that I am excited to use! I would take just one shaman and swap the other one into a captain and drop a few models to include a banner and give every warg rider a throwing spear. It makes them a lot stronger and your whole army will be a ranged threat. I think this army will still struggle to be competitive overall because the highest fight value is 4 but it will be a lot of fun. I think its best at low points levels

I am playing Moria Angmar and the new Mordor expansion
Hi!
Im a Great fan of your videos!
Loved this one!
I playing against my 2 friends this thursday , my first game ever,
600p of Lothlorien, vs 2 300p mordor lists
What do ypu think of my list?
My list is
Celeborn - Heavy armour, Elven sword and shield
5 Galadhrim with Spears and Shields
1 Galadhrim with shield and baner
2 Galadhrim Guard with swords and shield
3 Galadhrim knights with Shields
Haldir - Elven bow, Elven cloak, heavy armour
6 Galadhrim - Bows
1 Galadhrim - banner
2 Galadhrim Knights - bows, Shields
My list worth 594 points :)
4 Galadhrim Guard with swords
Its a great place to start there a few little changes the I would make. firstly I would 2 or 3 guard of galadhrim court. They get fight 6 which is so helpful when taking down heroes. Next I would bring in a woodelf sentinel. These guys give you so much control over the enemy. And finally I would give your knights bows rather than shields. My thinking there is that they will be running around and taking objectives in some games. In those games where they are sitting on an objective they can still do damage to the enemy from a distance.
This list will look so good on the table the galadhrim models are so good!
“Numbers are important”

Warriors with bow and spear x2
War band 3 240 points
Mahud King on camel with shield and spear

Mahud warrior with banner x1
Mahud warrior with blowpipes x5
Thanks.
I am looking to start a 500 point rohirrim list but am new to the game I have some riders of rohan for now how would you recommend I start it?
Is there a good way to play Rohan? Been playing with the starter box and it seems kind of meh?
Rohan is great there are so many options on how to play it. If you have started with the starter kit I owuld recomend adding in gamling and eomer and using the Riders of Theoden Legnedary legion (Gondor at War). Its super powerful!
Yeah your gonna need to get some hero's ad Theoden isn't the best killy hero someone like eowyn and merry because their cheap and powerful for a hero or eomer who is the tank of rohan also maybe some royal guard because they get some great buffs from Theoden and a banner never goes a miss if you don't want to get gamling
So is it possible to make dwarf army which is good for tournaments?
Absolutely, Dwarves have a great tournament track record! Kazad-dum are probably the best performing because they are the most popular followed by Iron Hills because the goats give you a bit more speed and Dain is super strong
@@ConquestCreations Thanks for answer, I'm just beggining with this stuff. I have some old minis from my childhood and was thinking if I can make them work. It's difficult rn tho becouse there are not many khazad guards on market where I live hahs (probably becouse GW is out of stock :c )
I am doing a serpent horde army but don't know a good list. Can you help me.
Hey mate! serpent horde is awesome. I would recommend starting with Suladan on horse with some raiders and a captain or two with warriors of Harad with an even split of bows and spears.
After that feel free to add in some watchers, Abrakhan guard, and some serpent guard.
Warband 1 6/15
Boromir, Captain of the White Tower with Horse; The Banner of Minas Tirith; Shield;

Warband 2 10/15
Faramir, Captain of Gondor with Shield; Bow;
10 Ranger of Gondor with Spear;
----
Warband 3 12/12
Cirion, Lieutenant of Amon Barad
11 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield; Spear;
1 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Banner; Shield;
----
Warband 4 6/6
Beregond, Guard of the Citadel
6 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield; Spear;
what do you think
I went on ur store... Do u not sell the bases anymore?
Hi, which armylist do you recommend for Rohan at 800pts , and moria 800pts
For Moria at 800 I would recomend the Moria army list in the video with a 3 more goblins and a Warg maurauder added in. Rohan at 800 points has so many options! If you want raw damage out put go for Riders of Theoden legendary legion with all the heroes and a handful of royal guard with throwing spears. This army list has done very very well.
@@ConquestCreations what would you recommend for an 850 moria army
@@alex231e9 There is a 750 point army in this video. I would start with that and then add in your favourite 100 points in moria. Personally I would add two warg marauders and a few extra goblins
What do you think of this Gondor list of 1000 points?
Gandalf with Shadowfax 240 pts
11 MT warriors with shields 88 pts
1 MT warrior with banner 32 pts
Faramir with heavy armor and bow 90 pts
9 MT warriors with shield, bow and spear 90 pts
1 Trebuchet with 2 crew member and on siege veteran 80 pts
1 Gondor avenger bolt thrower with swift reload 70 pts
Imrahil with armoured horse and lance 160 pts
6 knights of Dol Amorth with armoured horse and lance and 1 war horn 150 pts

From what I understood from your video, I traded mobility for killing power, and I have a middling number of models at this point value. Ill take comments from anyone!
Thanks for the comment! I really like Isengard. Personally I am not the biggest fan of trolls I find that big heroes can kill them really easily. I reckon your army would be more powerful if you swapped it out for Mahur and a handful of maurader scouts Mahur still hits really hard with 3 attacks but he gives you some movment 8 troops that are super key to objectives

so..."is Khazaddum just tucked?" no spears, no cav, no magic, no good shooting, no green allies.
If you run straight into them they will win a vast majority of the fights but if you leverage your numbers and surround them and go for traps there spears can only be in one place at a time and in each combat you will have significantly high odds of killing them than they have of killing you
Durins Folk aren't my favorite faction in the game and definetly wouldn't be my pick for the strongest profile but I have played against them and have used enough similar armies to know that they definetly have a place in the competative scene
