I'm from London and always fascinated with Hinduism and it's teachings. Hinduism and Buddhism are the most peaceful religions on the planet. It's all about peace, love, meditation, be good and be responsible for your Karma. Hope to visit India soon. Love and respect ❤️Namaste🙏🏻
Hey, I'm Christian but I would argue Jainism(If you haven't heard of it you should definitely do some research on it if you like Hinduism and Buddhism) is the most peaceful religion due to it's extreme commitment to non-violence, and I don't mean extreme in a bad way. I love learning about different religions. God bless!
I am Indonesian. Though most of us now adhere to middle East religions both Islam & Christianity, Our ancestor were proud Hindus & budhhist, and we still respect &retain cultural, language, ethics. Long live Hindu & proud India 🇮🇳 peoples.... Our national motto derived from Sanskrit lang of Hindu : Bhinekka Tunggal Ika and our National 5 basic principles uphold by demigod, Garuda, Lord Vishnu vessel.... Namaste
Same! The thing that attracts me so much is how different it is from all the ancient religions of the world. It focuses on loving the Divine and your personal relationship with the Divine while most ancient religions focused on appeasing the different deities to avoid harm from them and in hope they would bless you.
My ancestors were brave and honest. They did not succumb to the Islamic treats, refused to take money to pawn their religion. Proud to be a Hindu. Hindustan Zindabad.
Me being an Atheist, who was brought up in a very strict Muslim family, i think Hinduism is one of the most peaceful and would have been the most powerful religion in term's of scientific and development if it was not for British rule. In fact Hinduism holy book's are more accurate of what happened in the past and its history compared to then any other religious book. Proud to be an Indian.
Greetings from America. I have always been drawn to India, her music, wisdom, and her mysteries. I respect this great religion and civilization always...we should remember the great civilizations of the past and not settle for the cheap, materialistic world we live in today. I will always remember my college teacher in Juneau, Alaska in 2003 who really appreciated and admired India and Hinduism, he made us read important books pertaining to India and scriptures and stories. He couldn't say enough about her goodness, and I always appreciated this man for his unbiased mind and love for India. Thank you.
Shiva and Shakti the only religion to see the feminine aspect of God and in such a beautiful way. I am not a Hindu by birth but I am a yogi thanks to India.
Out of various beliefs and stories within the Hinduism, I find Shiva and Shakti theory easiest to relate to reality. Energy and matter. Every thing is made of energy and matter. Explains how everything is considered have god!
I am a proud Indian Hindu Engineer living in west and serving both west and my homeland. I will never ever forget my roots, ethics, traditions, cultures, moral values, the lessons of Bhagwat Gita and teachings of vedas. Jai Shree Krishna and peace.
this one is the best video i ever seen on youtube about hindu. when all over the world show there cultures, divine nature then this type of videos show how enrich our country and we held the whole world in just a single country.. proud to be and indian and its an honor to know our roots.
Well you will like to hear that DNA Analysis of India's ancient Harappan civilisation reveals the presence and mixing of ancient Iranian pastoralists/farmers! This mixing is prior to 5-6000 BC and much earlier than the Aryan gene entering India around 1500 bc..
i m an ex muslim of india nd i converted to hinduism,, it is very peaceful religion, i believe that my ancestors were hindus too,, so i imm, it teaches u only love faith nd respect to othets 😍😍😍
What a beautiful documentary!! I was born catholic but I was searching for something "more" all my life, until I shipwrecked into hinduism: One of the most sublime experiences and the greatest gift ever... 🙏💖
I'm an eclectic witch so I study and learn from many different religions and I love Hinduism! its so beautiful and accepting and I love how all its followers are equals!!
I am german/japanese and Hinduism and the colorful indian culture has always fascinated me. I also love the food and want to visit someday. Thanks for the great documentary. One thing. I wish you would have explained the structure of the Vedas more, which books are derived from which because there are so many and it´s so confusing.
The original and most ancient scriptures of Hindus are the Vedas...they consist of sacred hymns and verses composed by indian sages known as Rishis..and there were seven most prominent Rishis commonly referred to as the Saptarishis...there were also a few female sages who were involved in the composition of the Vedas..this was a continuous process occurring at least four thousands years ago...there were no temples during the Vedic age..instead the rituals were conducted by the priests who performed Vedic sacrifices known as Yaj which consist of sitting around the altar in which a sacred fire was lit and offerings were being made by chanting of sacred mantras...these offerings or vedic sacrifices were dedicated to the forces of nature who were represented by different deities such as Indra, Brahma, Agni , Varuna , Surya , Savita, Vayu, Rudra..among others...they were called Devas and Indra was their chief ...during later centuries around 1000 BC the philosophical aspect of the Vedas was being put forward by ascetic sages who were self realized beings who sat in deep meditation during long years and eventually achieved enlightenment..their findings were classified and compiled in scriptures called Upanishads...in the form of Vedanta philosophy....this Vedanta philosophy would be integrated during later centuries in the famous Bhagavad Gita along with other philosophical systems such as Samkhya and Yoga..the Gita was a serious reform in hindu religion after the appearance of Buddhist philosophy in India and eventually became the most revered hindu scripture till now..and Krishna gained recognition the most famous incarnation of hindu deity Vishnu who had in the meantime become one of the principal deities along with Brahma and Shiva...during the first millennium AD Vishnu , Shiva and Shakti gradually became the primary deities of Hinduism...while Brahma was relegated in the background...thousands of temples were being constructed during successive centuries in which the idols of the hindu deities were being installed for worship under strict supervision of the Brahmin priests Prince Rama of the Ramayana epic and Sri Krishna of the Mahabharata epic and the Gita are the most revered and famous personalities in hinduism since the last two millennium.. other deities who became famous are Ganesha , mother Kali , Skanda , Hanuman and a few others....the present era in hinduism known as the Puranic age started after the 8th century AD with the devotional type of worship known as Bhakti marg...and this mode of worship is based on the Puranas which are the main hindu scriptures along with the Gita..
Proud to be a Hindu born in the Caribbean. I now reside in the USA and I’ve been blessed and very fortunate to visit many sacred places in India with my family. Loved your videos so please continue the good work, Sita Ram.
Lots of people feels attracted to Hinduism in Europe, for its amazing tolerance, and acceptance of others ideas which we absolutely don't have in the religion we have by culture, Christianity. I love hinduism's wisdom!
I live in Montgomeryville, PA, there is a Hindu temple down the road from my house.. about 4-5 years ago my friend and I went inside to look around. The clergy there were so happy to see two young, white kids exploring their culture..
Interresting fact: Hindu has enriched Indonesia's culture and many of the language is now ours such: puja, guru etc etc. Prambanan Hindu temple still exist today.
I wasn't born into Hinduism. But the neat thing is, I didn't seek out it. It sought me out. For a very long time, I wasn't religious or spiritual whatsoever, and nothing could change my mind. I have a lot of love and admiration for Hinduism now, though. I gave in to what my soul was being called to do, and haven't looked back since. Everything about it just feels right. I feel my soul strongly being called to go to India, as well. Almost like it would feel more at home there. So I hope to be there one day. अमेरिका से नमस्ते 🇺🇲🇮🇳
But how were you exposed to Hinduism? btw, if u ever visit india, consider seeing the banaras ghat aarti. happens in the evening. i have never been there but u can listen to the aarti on yt. but seeing it irl would obviously be better
hinduism is very open minded religion respecting every belief that is the the reason why so many other religions emerged from it like Buddhism,Jainism etc without any friction in society....
Namaste! I appreciate the Hindu culture because what is put into practice speaks a million gentle words and every person I have met who follows the Hindu path has magnetic positivism that is deserving of respect. Thank you for this video.
Proud to be part of a faith which is so open minded and liberal and does not impose beliefs..and is somewhat a journey into self discovery...choose whichever path..all leads to god :)

I like so many aspects of Hinduism including learning from many gurus, to help a person ultimately find their own god within, Atman, their own essence, thus Hinduism aims to empower people and ultimately be their own guru. As well as a vegan, I respect Hinduism fundamental, cornerstone principle all of life is sacred, and to evolve a human must be kind to all life! Thus people whom are eating meat and do not need too, are creating much karma and inner turmoil for themselves. Living with compassion for oneself and all beings is a reward in itself. Wishing peace and joy to everyone.
I think I was born in the wrong place. I should've been born in India... If only I had the money, I'd live there. My spirit has finally found its home. Namaste!
I am a Christian but i am thinking of changing to Hindu or Buddhism, since I already am Japanese and those cultures are and were way more interesting and I like them much more...
In a way ...It's homecoming...It's getting out of intellectual cages of other faith-strictures... Feel free now bro....and explore the wisdoms and vices of world people and faiths...Seek a good intellectual company and grow in life and even beyond...
what an interesting religion. I have never known a religion to be entirely flexible with its worshiping practices and being open to people believing it how they want. That's one thing that turns me off about other religions; the fear factor that if you don't follow this particular religion then you go to hell. That always just came off as manipulative and a method of control. So it is neat to see a religion not use that, makes it seem much more honest.
We have never tried to conquer foreign land . Never interfered with the rest of the world and yet people condemn Hindus , even though all we wanted was peace and prosperity . People took a lot of liberties with our tolerance .
This is the best religious documentary I have ever seen with informations, truth, love, respect and no hatred (most rare in religious documentaries). Proud to be hindu. Namaste.
I’m an American Christian and this is pretty cool and interesting love Hindu people very warm and peaceful, very interesting history and I would love to visit these places someday, if anyone sees this, rather your Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, buddhist, atheists, or a Christian like me I love you and god bless you 😇
Thank you brother for enlightening all sorts of audience. Your video is simply the most captivating videos on Hinduism. I feel proud to be a Hindu and God bless you.
Two clarifications need to be added - one the caste system was not rigid but a flexible system based on talent, interest and profession - skill sets, choice and aptitude. A son of a famer could become a priest, a priest's son could become a laborer, a warrior could become a priest and a priest could become a warrior. There are instances of even a housemaid's son becoming a sage / priestly caste. There was absolutely no rigidity about this. The rigidity came later on during the middle ages after Muslims and Christian colonizers came and Hindu society suffered and became insular and several social evils set in. Two - The position of women was extremely high and they were warriors, priests, sages as well as skilled and well educated. Widow remarriage was allowed and there was no dowry or child marriage and no purdah system. Again this social evils relating to women's position in society came in during the middle ages after Muslims and Christian colonizers came and Hindu society suffered and became insular and several social evils set in. Several social restrictions and evils set in due to the impeding need for the safety of women from successive invaders / invasions.
Yeah Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism are some of the most peaceful and great religions in the world, they preach and practice Peace and tolerance. Hinduism respects all other religions and welcomes them with open arms as you can see from India's history, some of these foreign religions abuse India's welcome throughout India's history.
I heard about Hinduism many years ago.I never got into the history or the culture until last year. thank you for posting this video I'm hoping to learn more.
Namaste! Wow thank you for this video, I have recently maybe 3 months now so intrigued with wanted to know about Hinduism. I grew up catholic and that left me so confused with a lot of answered questions. I feel so drawn almost like an obsession like this is the religion I'm supposed to be practicing.
Much love and respect for hinduism and indian culture! Hope visit India and sacred places soon! Shukryia for the documentary, very interesting and clear!
Very interesting video. As a non-Hindu, I say a perfect video to learn about India's religious culture. Some of the Hindu culture and spiritual beliefs had influenced Buddhism. Buddhism is the religion I believe in and it has absorbed into the cultures of the Far East.
Correction regarding Maha Bhartha It's not to show fight between cousins or not fight for crown, it's about fight for Dharma. It's fight between Good and Bad. Maha Bharatha tells us many things how to live quality life.
Hinduism is like an ocean. it is impossible to explain everything about it. no wonder Gurus says that unless you become the ocean you can never know the ocean ..
I really appreciate this video for such westerners as myself, the ancient culture of Hinduism has many of humanities required attributes. I do not agree with the glorification of Gandhi tho, for he had many negatives surrounding himself, from only supporting Indians in South Africa (and not the blacks), to never really speaking out against the British, he would only speak that his countryman were wrong for using non peaceful ways.
Even us Indian Hindus don't like him. Please don't judge Hinduism on the basis of Gandhi. Gandhiji actually never favoured Hindus, & his teachings were Christian-based and not Hindu based. He pretended to be secular, but he didn't speak a word when Indian Hindus were massacred & killed by the Radical Islamists during the Moplah genocide. India didn't gain Independence just by Gandhi's "Ahimsa" movement, there were several violent freedom fighters like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose, Veer Savarkar & many many more. India gained Independence from the British through a terrible violent freedom struggle, in which people of all age groups regardless of age sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our beloved motherland India. Gandhiji delayed India's process of freedom struggle by several decades. Sadly, non-Indians hardly know about any other Indian freedom fighter than Gandhi, and many even get introduced to India through Gandhi. Gandhiji was a British-paid-puppet, & he never really loved Indians. Gandhiji doesn't deserve to be called "the father of India", India is one of the most Ancient civilizations on planet earth and Gandhiji is just a few years old. So I would request you to do proper research work on Hinduism & on Gandhiji before linking Gandhiji's Ahimsa ideologies to Hinduism.

British rule was only 1 second of India's long history and relatively unimportant to the strength of Hindu faith.

Islam did far more to set back the Dharmic traditions than anything
I think u should write Muslim invasion instead of British rule😅 that will be more accurate

Hello from a Guyanese sister. We both seem to have a love for our homeland. Jai Shri Krishna, Jai Shri Ram.
Shiva and Shakti the only religion to see the feminine aspect of God and in such a beautiful way. I am not a Hindu by birth but I am a yogi thanks to India.
KH my household deity is female Goddess. She is the center of the household.
Out of various beliefs and stories within the Hinduism, I find Shiva and Shakti theory easiest to relate to reality. Energy and matter. Every thing is made of energy and matter. Explains how everything is considered have god!
In India there are more temples of goddess than gods.
Literally every village has a temple of goddess.
Adi Shakti means "First power" is female.

Im just a weird white dude from Canada and This is fascinating to me.
You are a beautiful human soul who is opened to people and religions it seems..Never mind the colour of your skin, you are not weird, you are special..
6:30 "The words Hindu and India both come from the Sanskrit word Sindhu, which means 'river'"
How could you possibly dislike that? That's one of the best videos I've seen on UA-cam. Namaste!
Really Nice Video.....Proud to be an indian
Fascinante la cultura Hindu, gracias por este documental Namasté.
Wonderful Documentary !!!I'm proud to be an Hindu!!!I have been to India 8yrs back(2009)...And now I feel wanted to go again...
50 hours worth of chants by memory. Wow!
yesterday we have puja of 17hour
Very informative video checked it out cause I didn't know that much about Hinduism, and have a lot of friends that are Hindu.
Very true..
proud to be a hindu and being part of this great religion called eternal religion
I heard about Hinduism many years ago.I never got into the history or the culture until last year. thank you for posting this video I'm hoping to learn more.
Thanks for this information as it has helped me understand Hinduism.
Namaste! Wow thank you for this video, I have recently maybe 3 months now so intrigued with wanted to know about Hinduism. I grew up catholic and that left me so confused with a lot of answered questions. I feel so drawn almost like an obsession like this is the religion I'm supposed to be practicing.
I'm in very similar to your situation but left religions alone altogether. But I agree Hinduism has something to explore.
Much love and respect for hinduism and indian culture! Hope visit India and sacred places soon! Shukryia for the documentary, very interesting and clear!
Thanks sir to appreciate us, welcome to india😄😄
This was beautiful and very educational. What an amazing religion. :)
Very interesting video. As a non-Hindu, I say a perfect video to learn about India's religious culture. Some of the Hindu culture and spiritual beliefs had influenced Buddhism. Buddhism is the religion I believe in and it has absorbed into the cultures of the Far East.
finally i found some sensible thing about india.. its amazing
Correction regarding Maha Bhartha It's not to show fight between cousins or not fight for crown, it's about fight for Dharma. It's fight between Good and Bad. Maha Bharatha tells us many things how to live quality life.
Best video i have seen explaining origins of Hinduism.. 👍👍👍
Hinduism is like an ocean. it is impossible to explain everything about it. no wonder Gurus says that unless you become the ocean you can never know the ocean ..
Ahhh! I love that, so beautifully stated!
