Everyone here is talking about how they’re losing their hair at like 40+ years, meanwhile here I am, 20 years old, with half less hair that I had when I was 17. I’m mad mad.
@@DeeperThanHairTv I’m hoping that vitamins and a healthy lifestyle will bring back at least some of the thickness that I used to have. Fingers crossed!
I was like you. I got anemia from my periods all through my younger years and had trouble with my hair. Now I know I'm at risk for it and take iron regularly. At 45 my hair is thicker and healthier than it was during times in my younger years. I was relaxed then too. I think that was part of it for me.
A male produced hormone that also affects females called DHT could be the cause for that. As we get older, DHT levels can increase (stress, depression, hormone imbalance, menopause, medications (even store bought medications), diet, etc.) but you would have to visit a dermatogist to get tested. Dermatologist can prescribe some great things to you to lower that hormone and stop it from increasing. Certain foods such as tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, watermelon, almonds, walnuts, eggs, white mushrooms, kale, pistachios, as well as lots of water intake can help you to grow your hair back thicker and fuller. Switch your shampoos, conditioners, & even mosturizers to ones that include more DHT blockers & saw palmello (Nioxin, Rogain for men, etc.). Please check with your doctors and dermatologists to get tested for DHT.
Try purad'or shampoo. I had to stop using it because it made my shedding nonexistent. My shedding was never that serious. It wasn't for me. It's more for anyone who's dealing with heavy shedding. Try it out.
When I blow dry, it looks like an afro. I flat iron and it looks like a stylist's blow dry. Then I flat iron again on a higher setting like 420 and it's silky except for some areas crown, edges. Then I say screw it and take out my pressing comb and press my edges and run the hot comb like a comb forward and backwards. That's my silk press.
Beautiful, I loved the bangs , I don’t think I’ll ever get the hang of curling my hair with a straightener, but I have not given up on trying. I watch your flick of the wrist like I’m going to be tested on it.

Beautiful. I have super-fine hair, too. I also have a lot of white/silver hair (had streak since I was 11) and it feels like a lost cause to have my hair appear thicker. I don't straighten it at all, so there aren't a lot of options. I'm learning to just live with it. I do love my hair.
