I agree with Carmen Hayes here. Us over 50 plus women go through it with this hair journey. Thinning, bald spots almost in some places and shedding and losing hair is no fun. It has slowed down some since I take hair and nail vitamins with Biotin and try to eat better but no all the way.

A male produced hormone that also affects females called DHT could be the cause for that. As we get older, DHT levels can increase (stress, depression, hormone imbalance, menopause, medications (even store bought medications), diet, etc.) but you would have to visit a dermatogist to get tested. Dermatologist can prescribe some great things to you to lower that hormone and stop it from increasing. Certain foods such as tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, watermelon, almonds, walnuts, eggs, white mushrooms, kale, pistachios, as well as lots of water intake can help you to grow your hair back thicker and fuller. Switch your shampoos, conditioners, & even mosturizers to ones that include more DHT blockers & saw palmello (Nioxin, Rogain for men, etc.). Please check with your doctors and dermatologists to get tested for DHT.

Then I say screw it and take out my pressing comb and press my edges and run the hot comb like a comb forward and backwards. That's my silk press.

😄(lol) " TELL ME ABOUT IT, SISTER!🧡.... I can definitely attest to how individual's hair changes over time. Back in the day, I sported a long Jheri Curl mop that many admired. Nothing like that, decades later at nearly 58 years old with male-patterned baldness. I remind countless young men with long ' dreads ' hanging down their backs, to enjoy it while it lasts. "

I love the transformation..even tho the beautiful natural way is still stunning ..I know these ladies must feel like a million bucks after a new do cause I know I would . U black ladies r so beautiful and I envy ur gorgeous locks. 🌈✌🏻

My thick fine hair was the bane of my existence. So hard to cut right and style right and keep it that way. I recently had to tell my stylist he could stop using thinning shears because my hair was getting thinner. Then covid was so stressful I was shedding like nobody's business. A lot of crazy stuff happens in your 50's that's for sure.

Great job as always. I think your client should consider going to the Dr to see if she has an underlying health conditions. Could be something as simple as iron and vitamin D.

I'm wondering if sleeping in the rollers are speeding up the hair loss.
