Good review, thanks. If you can, please try a demo with guitar or bass with active electronics as most of the online reviews of this type of wireless say they tend to squeal and block off all sound with active pickups and/or preamps, rendering them useless. Thanks again! [EDIT] I forgot to mention that some of the reviewers got rid of the squealing by adding a short (6-12”) male/female 1/4” instrument cable between the guitar’s jack and the wireless.
After much reading of reviews I went ahead and went with the Getaria GWS-8. $39.99. I have no complaints. 30 meter range and I use active pickups. They say many do NOT work well with active. Their construction seems cheap but hey..$40 what can we expect? This is for home cos I actually do get tripped up jamming at home. I have a small (but very nice) apartment and its cramped.
Thank you for the review. Timely as I've been considering one of these for a while. Did you notice any change in guitar tone wise with this compared to without it?
How do you use this with a Large Pedalboard? 1-transmitter into the guitar, and 1 in the amp input ( right? ) How do I incorporate my pedalboard? also how does it compare to the Lekato 5.8 Ghz Wireless Guitar System ?
What about all the money that was spent on just the right pickups, tuners, bridge, strings and of course the tone wood. Plugged into one of these the guitar is only going to be as good as the device. That's not my opinion but I am sure that is going to be the argument so I'll just get it out there. Very good review!
The latency was the due to the speed of sound traveling from the speaker to your ear as you moved away from the speaker. Not the unit that adds more latency with distance. 1ms per foot give or take. 20 feet (3m) you will hear.
I want to get these system. However, so far, the other brands kind of throw me off when it comes to how light and plastic-yy they feel. How’s the build quality of these, honestly? Thanks!
I agree NUX do a great wireless. I have the old one.I found a nice trick. I found an old mini phone case in black leather at a thrift shop. if you fold the jack flat to the transmitter part it fits in nicely. I then put a female to female 1/4" adapter on the Nux's jack and finally a pedal cord on the other end. The solid end ones are best with less mass on the jack and a bit thinner and lighter cable. The phone case has a belt clip built in. So I clip it to my guitar strap and then into the guitar. IT looks like I have a high end rig instead of bulky ugly toy.
Hey great video but I have a quick question. Can you roll your volume knob back and still hear the difference in tone coming from your unit ? Axe fx , tube & solid state amps. Cheers, Gray
thorough review nicely done I appreciate the time you took to make this review
Thank you for such a informative review.
Tony, a year later…is this still your favorite wireless system? I’m looking at something for home use. Great video/review-Thanks!
I still use them today!
I was wondering the same. Thanks for the updated response 🤙🏾

Thanks Tony! Just ordered one of these based on your review!!👍

Gonna get one of these, cables can be annoying if your on a small stage...
You were experiencing the speed of sound through air, not latency. If you're say 15m away from the amp, then you'll hear the sound ~50ms later.
Thank you for the review. Timely as I've been considering one of these for a while.
Did you notice any change in guitar tone wise with this compared to without it?
The tone seems a little brighter to me. Probably due to less loss of highs due to the impedance of the cable.

Transmitter into the guitar receiver into the first pedal on your board.
@@addictedtogear Thanks Tony . . . Appreciate the info. Always enjoy your informative content. Stay Safe brother.

Yep, classic propagation delay. That's why you have to use in ears on a big stage. Funny he didn't know that.
Does it charge through the jack or wirelessly through the case?

I don't know why all these companies that make wireless systems are stuck with micro USB!
Hi Tony, how is the sound? is it just like the cable?
I could not hear a difference.
nice video!!!!
Good information, thanks
Went to the link n looksd for the price n not seein it . Its early but cant find the price . Thx

LOL I did the same thing.
@@addictedtogear Love your show...never miss it!
@@Paul_Lenard_Ewing Thanks for watching
Does it work on acustics guitars?
yes it does!
How does the battery life compare to Xvive U2?
The battery life is more than adequate especially with the charging case included with this kit.
is this better than xvive
I really like these more
my experience, on the passive bass, the xvive cut middle frequency and i listen a buzz on the attack of the note. Nux is more natural.

Yes, absolutely
For the price range, 2.3 ms latency and solid construction, the BOSS WL-20 is my choice.
Yeah but you got a power brick hanging off the end of the guitar, looks ugly as sin though BOSS is better quality Im sure.
I actually like a few of the Line 6 as well....but I do NOT like the big box sticking out. ugh
Can I plug the transmitter after my multieffects pedal and the receiver into my amp? Will it work? Thanks
Yes it will work!
Hey. Have you compared this with the boss wl20? Would you still reccomend this above that?
I have not compared it but I really like the NUX model.
I have the boss system nothing but trouble with some times it works sometimes it doesn’t
What other wireless systems have you tried that this is better than? Did you notice it color the tone any at all?
i3oosted no color in tone. So far these are the best ones I’ve tried.
Not for $150. Lekato is better at $50. 5.8 GHz and lasts 5 hours.
The Lekato 5.8 is better and cheaper-$63.00
