Everything about this makes me happy. From the perfectly executed playing and singing, to the steady eye gazing, to the beautiful garments. Something wholesome and real and pure. Something we all need at this time.
I have been disconnected to my culture (German) since I grew up in America and my great-grandmother never passed down the culture to my grandma and hence therefor my mom was never able to teach it to me. I have finally decided to reconnect with the culture on my own at 19. Hearing this music makes me so glad I decided to instead of abandoning my culture, thank you for publishing this.
My great grandfather was German on my grandmothers side of the family, from how my dad explains him he yodeled, ate Limburger cheese and loved mountains. I have no idea how hereditary traditions or cultures are but I’ve always loved old Bavarian German culture since I was introduced to it, back in high school I decided to start learning German and more about their history. Hope all is well with you and yours
I realize there can be a bias influenced by what we hear first, but surely you can agree this is at least on par ua-cam.com/video/35Gqai3TH6k/v-deo.html
I keep coming back to this beautiful song brilliantly executed. Although I am fluent in German, I am not so good in Bavarian/Austrian. I just discovered the lyrics (see below) which makes this even more valuable. Thanks for your contribution ro rob.
Desde o momento que escutei está música ela acorda comigo, passa o dia "zuando" nos meus ouvidos e dorme comigo.....linda...linda...linda....Onde encontro a letra/poesia desta música.? Aguardo. J.C.Monteiro Guimarães/Gaúcho/Brasil.
Gruesgot! This is beautiful, very touching to me : My mother was from Villach (Untere Fellach), and I would love to learn that song in her memory. Could you please tell me where I can find the lyrics? in dialekt bitte! Servus !
Griass di Evy, I try to write down the lyrics in dialect, unfortunately there is no phonetic transcription for the bavarian dialect. This dialect is spoken all over Austria (exception is Voralrberg) and in Altbayern. Here we go: Iwan See kon i ned umi (umi is hinüber) schwimma TL:(I can't swim the lake to the opposite shore) siech i mei schwarzaugerts Biawei nimma TL:(I don't see my blackeyed laddy no more) Mei Bua is a Fischer, i siehgn vo fern TL:(My lad is a fisher, I see him from the distance) I trau mi ned zuawi, weil i g'angelt kunnt wern TL:(I do not dare to get closer to him, 'cos he migtht angle? me (with his fishing rod) is angle correct? Da See is voll Wasser und 's Wasser wird Eis TL:The lake is full of water and the water turns to ice Dass i a frisch's Biawei liab, des is nix Neis TL: I love a new laddy, thats not new. BTW: Carinthia is famous for excellent singers and choirs. God bless your late mother. Sincerely Robert

Der Zitherspieler heißt Roman Messerer !
@@robertholfelder5219 Danke schön, Robert.
I wonder why there is nothing more from this excellent group; or even a version of this minus the Russian witch (Hexe).
What witch?
There is: a beautiful religious hymn (v=Ak-L55CVsTs).
In Russland sehen Hexen anders aus :-)
