- The internationally-acclaimed Mexican tenor Francisco Araiza and pianist Jean Lemaire give a performance of Robert Schumann's song-cycle ''Dichterliebe''. This recording was made under studio conditions at the Renaissance Grafenschloss in southern Germany.

incredibly beautiful . I did not know of the existenve of this recording. He sings straight in your soul , just as Fritz Wunderlich does. May be I prefer this recording even more, because you can see the singer. It was a very big surprise to discover that this recording is still available on DVD ! I ordered the DVD in the meantime I was listening. A lucky day for me !
There are very few youtube uploads of this sublime work where you can see the singer's facial expressions. This is why I enjoy this one so much. It's also lovely to see the pianist. Music doesn't get better than this. Thanks LOFTmusic.

Dies ist eine unvergleichlich intensiv erarbeitete ganz eigene Interpretation von höchster Wahrhaftigkeit. - Hervorzuheben der mir bislang unbekannte großartig sensible Pianist Jean Lemaire.

This was so intense that for 35 minutes I listen and read the lyrics and not do something else.
Araiza is at his best in Mozart's concert aria "Misero! O sogno!" He is a consummate artist.
