I really enjoy your video's but today's video was very special for me. I grew up about 7 miles inland from Newport and we spent a lot of time over there. Nye Beach was always our go to spot to play on the beach or even storm watch if the thing weather was bad. It has really changed since I was a kid--- well over 50 years ago but I am happy to see it is thriving there. It was always such a friendly, and fun place to be. When you went to Yaquina State Park and I saw the bridge I remember my Dad and the trouble he caused as a teen. You see, a friend of his made a bet with some kids from Newport that my Dad could walk up one side of the bridge and over the top of the arch and down the other side. A case of beer was riding on that bet and Dad said sure I can do it! He had no fear at all of heights so they waited till dark and dropped him off on the north side and up he went. The rest of the guys hurried over to the other side to see him come down but someone saw him as he was headed up and they called the police and said there was a jumper on the bridge! You can imagine all the panic of police and fire dept. looking for someone they thought was going to jump off. Dad saw the spotlight and layed down up at the top of that arch and just stayed there for hours as they looked. No one climbed up, they were all too afraid. After hours they finally decided the person had to have already jumped before they got there so they all left and he hurried and scurried down the south side where his friend and the other boys had been waiting. They really enjoyed those well deserved beers! So you see, what you think of as mundane videos without doing anything adventurous triggered a memory I cherish of my Dad. We lost him last year at the age of 91. Thank you for what you do!

I am a single female traveler and I have learned so much from your videos and have stayed in places that I would never have tried if it weren't for you. If you felt safe, I knew that I probably would. I never get tired of watching and learning. No apologies necessary!! And keep them coming!❤❤❤

I travel in a minivan when I camp. It it cramped and don't have a dog. My problem is I take so much "gear" for all my camping activities. I love that you are keeping it to the basics.

You do what you need to do for you and what makes you happy and comfortable. If you do what makes others happy and your whole heart isn’t in it, then that leads to burn out. Take care of you ❤

You could keep traveling up the coast to all the little towns and points of interest along the way and I'd be happy. It's just too hot inland for most of the summer anymore unfortunately. It didn't used to be this way. I like these easy going & scenic vlogs.

You are very creative, you go to amazing places in the coast and you can find Agates, Carnelians, Quarts, Jade at the beach. Include some rockhounding in your videos, it will be amazing.
Spend as much time on the Oregon Coast as you want. I grew up in Portland and the Oregon Coast has always been my happy place. Was just there last summer for a visit. Hope you are able to avoid the smoke and heat if you have to go east. Safe travels to you and Joey!❤❤❤
OMG! That two-story house over the Irish Shop at Nye Beach (next door to the Bookstore) is where some friends rent the whole house about every other summer and we come over to spend time with them. Nye Beach is awesome.

I travel in a minivan when I camp. It it cramped and don't have a dog. My problem is I take so much "gear" for all my camping activities. I love that you are keeping it to the basics.

I never get tired of the coast and yeah, avoid the heat. That's insane to go deliberately into it... Part of van life is following the weather.

You do what you need to do for you and what makes you happy and comfortable. If you do what makes others happy and your whole heart isn’t in it, then that leads to burn out. Take care of you ❤

You could keep traveling up the coast to all the little towns and points of interest along the way and I'd be happy. It's just too hot inland for most of the summer anymore unfortunately. It didn't used to be this way. I like these easy going & scenic vlogs.

And I'm super loving the beach and water views. The beach is my happy place. I probably will never be able to visit a beach in person again due to health and mobility concerns. You are very creative, you go to amazing places in the coast and you can find Agates, Carnelians, Quarts, Jade at the beach. Include some rockhounding in your videos, it will be amazing.
Spend as much time on the Oregon Coast as you want. I grew up in Portland and the Oregon Coast has always been my happy place. Was just there last summer for a visit. Hope you are able to avoid the smoke and heat if you have to go east. Safe travels to you and Joey!❤❤❤
OMG! That two-story house over the Irish Shop at Nye Beach (next door to the Bookstore) is where some friends rent the whole house about every other summer and we come over to spend time with them. Nye Beach is awesome.

You are such an inspiration because you're doing exactly what I want to do I need to be a little more mobile and get out of my wheelchair but I do plan on spending some time in my minivan traveling just like you! Seriously don’t worry about others. I’ve been doing this for three years and I have three little dogs. Take your rest while you can. I’ve been driving away from horrible heat, it’s not fun dealing with the heat. ❤
I think it's funny that you don't think that hanging out in beach towns is not a grand adventure because to me it is :) You do what you want to do Chantelle, it's been fabulous following your coastal quest this summer. No need to apologize! Anytime I get to go to the beach...even by video...is a good time for me. When I moved up here and took my drivers test I nearly failed it, Oregon is different (thank goodness!)
