I understand that english is not your normal language ... but could you try harder to get the pronunciation of the words closer ... and if you are not sure how to say them add them into the video ... so those that can read them and pronounce them can assist you in improving your english or other language vocabulary . otherwise generally interesting video's but following your dialogue does get hard with all the mispronunciations .
the plane picture at minute 2:55 is a Suchoi 24, and all the smaller planes from that abandoned airfield before look a lot like L-39 Albatros , being used as Fighter Pilot trainer planes or reconnaissance plane, defiantly not bomber, way to small for that...
Dear Friends .. The nr 6 DO NOT LOOK to be Sukoi. It looks that that airfield was for training purposes with two seaters aircrafts. The aircrafts look to be the L39´s made in the old Comecon country Checoslováquia, one of the few aircrafts made outside URSS itself.. Not shure if the L39 still beeing produced and if it is now in Eslováquia or Chec as the country split into two. But the aircraft looks to be that ones.
ALWAYS GOOD JOB! Here! > Coupeville, Whidbey Island, Washington State. From the Pacific Ocean looks like a nice little park with a quaint light tower. There are lots of very well kept army barracks and the biggest thickest cement bunkers for storing ammo and all are hidden looking out over the Pacific Ocean. Huge guns that you find on battleships are on the land which is sort of a park area. Constructed in 1944 and obviously wasn't needed after the war ended. But not a bad idea when you consider this being sort of close to Japan. At least sharing the same ocean. This is where Officer And A Gentleman had a lot of shots. The one when Zack pays off the guy for his shined shoes. Also the scene where Sergeant Foley is trying to get Mayo to quit as his buddy down in a boat yells, "Foley got his balls shot off in the war." BTW I was stationed just a few miles up the road at NAS in Oak Harbor, WA when they filmed Officer And A Gentleman in 1981. I was there in '81 and '82 and you can see the back of my head for 3 seconds in the movie. LMAO!
#6: those are L-39 "Albatross" military jet trainers, built in Czechoslovakia during the cold war. The Russian Air Force inherited hundreds more than they needed when the Soviet Union disintegrated, so this is likely just a dumping ground for surplus aircraft which couldn't be sold off for one reason or another.
There's also a SU-24 there. The one with the swept wings he showed is one, and it would make sense for a base of SU-24's to be there due to the range to Alaska.
Nice one. I live within 30 minutes of RAF Woodbridge. It was also one of the few places in the UK where, if there had been a need for the Space Shuttle to return in a hurry, it could land, and be removed 'piggy backed' on a special Boeing 747, on USAF grounds, away from prying eyes - the base is hidden in the countryside. A German nightfighter with new radar equipment landed there by accident in the last war, much to the joy of RAF scientists, at nearby RAF Bawdsey, and RAF Martlesham Heath.
I was going to include the accidental landing in the video, but decided it might be better off in a separate "strangest military incidents" video :D. Didn't know about the shuttle, that's pretty awesome !
@@WorldUnearthed There's also RAF Bentwaters, once owned by the Americans too, which dealt with the UFO incident. It also had the longest runway in Europe before being reduced in size. There are fun conspiracy theories about the two bases. Then there was the whole American military base in Orford which was used for some research.
A good portion of ACE High was replaced in 1965 by the 486L Tropospheric Scatter Radio System (in the Mediterranean) that used the same 60' antennas shown in the White ALICE images. This system was then made obsolete by satellite, undersea cable and commercial lease communications around 1990. Parts were kept active when DESERT SHIELD / STORM occurred and then deactivated afterwards. Some of those installations, while abandoned, still exist today.
I live literally next to MOD Woodbridge which is called Rock barracks and bentwaters base in Rendlesham which is unused except for odd shops and a museum for the cold War. My mum actually lived on bentwaters base while it was still in use by the Americans. Pretty awesome seeing the planes and helicopters take off from MOD Woodbridge!!
I was stationed at Grand Forks in the 80’s, we use to ride past this place on the way to the missile sites. The ABM site was decommissioned by Congress because it was deemed ineffective.
Woodbridge is the sister base to RAF Bentwaters. Most RAF Air based were built in pairs, one was operational (Woodbridge) and support {barracks, administration, shopping (BX-PX) ECT.}
my Grandmother doesn't live that far from site #1, also heard the the missile silo in ND, isn't entirely abandoned. The site is closer to Canada than it is to Grand Forks.
Anti-ballistic missiles are all long gone the only piece of that place that is still running is the primary radar which is located further to the East and is now used for tracking space debris and satellites.
What truly doomed the Stanley R Mickelson complex was the “ start treaty”Between the US and the Soviet Union. Otherwise the base would’ve been operational for a longer period of time.
I live in Grand Forks, ND. the site is a short drive away. The land now is all rented out to farmers around the area. There are still a ton of site from the cold war around here. Might be a fun video to uncover all the active sites in north dakota still going. I'm sure theres a bunch more than people think.
That site itself was sold not that long ago to some religious group for about $750,000. And besides the main site shown, there were 4 or 5 satellite launch sites in the area. And then there is a second big radar unit close by, that while it was part of the total system is still in use by the USAF for early warning.
My mom, grandparents and cousins etc are from Nekoma and ive been on the base many times even played baseball with base families during the time it was active........... I know of the squarish one down the highway (in current operation) where is the other pyramid???? Very curious Thanks
Brilliant video, I really want to visit Nevada, didn't know it had so many ww2 military bases. If somebody does go halfsies on that helicopter can I have a lift to Vegas? ;)
Hey man I love this channel and wish you had way more subs. Check out a guy called Brian Dean youtube and google and you might get some SEO tips to help blow up more!
Damn. Number one is like the poster child for government waste and abuse. I’ve seen some useless projects that were used to justify their fiscal year budgets, but the ballistic interception base was probably the biggest example of flushing money down the crapper. Just think, that’s only the budget they are willing to publish. Imagine what the Black Budget projects are spending, and then multiply it by ten. That’s probably a very low estimate, but you get the picture. Keep shining some daylight on these places man, I’m personally very interested in these places and their role they performed in the past.
Mike D: The main reason it was shut down because of the “start treaty” that was signed not long after. Otherwise that base would’ve remained operational.
if English isnt your first language then you are doing great, but if not you are talking really strangely pronouncing words weird but I love the videos
At this point, I think this guy INTENTIONALLY picks a few words per video to mispronounce. I love the idea of the channel, but listening to the oddball pronunciation is annoying.
try speaking hungarian and getting every words enunciation correct ... english is not this persons native tongue | . perhaps instead of being a rude person be helpful and help him pronounce the words more accurately ...
Have you stumbled across any abandoned places lately ? GIVE ME YOUR SUGGESTIONS FOR FUTURE VIDEOS Y'ALL !!!
You should use a lower music volume to not disturb the understanding of your voice.

The former SIGINT collection site (Teufelsberg) in Berlin?
World Unearthed checkout Fort Ord In California. At one time it was one of the biggest and best military bases.

Yes
I was about too say those are way too tiny to be SU

2:56 seriously? Those look nothing alike.
Those are L-39 albartros, literally about 1/5th the size of a Su-24.
One of my favorite channels!!!

Please Yes , make a UFO sightings video in abandoned places, it should be very interesting and mind blowing.

I love your WU videos, so eerie each and every one of them, is there an abandoned Russian air base near China that you covered once?
Another creat video sir. Well done.
I was stationed at Grand Forks in the 80’s, we use to ride past this place on the way to the missile sites. The ABM site was decommissioned by Congress because it was deemed ineffective.
All these sites would be a great place to build new communities to new arrivals flowing into America! Turn over ownership and transformation can start
Woodbridge is the sister base to RAF Bentwaters. Most RAF Air based were built in pairs, one was operational (Woodbridge) and support {barracks, administration, shopping (BX-PX) ECT.}

Yeah, a UFO video would be great. But I would really like it if it had to do with military or government sightings.
military have some of the most accurately reported sightings ... and best documented sightings .... yup they still collect the data even today
I worked at the Tonopah test range in the early 1980's when i was in the Air Force. Enough said.
What truly doomed the Stanley R Mickelson complex was the “ start treaty”Between the US and the Soviet Union. Otherwise the base would’ve been operational for a longer period of time.
Patrick Hughes he was my great grandfather. Both great grandfathers on my moms side were 3 star generals.

I live in Grand Forks, ND. the site is a short drive away. The land now is all rented out to farmers around the area. There are still a ton of site from the cold war around here. Might be a fun video to uncover all the active sites in north dakota still going. I'm sure theres a bunch more than people think.
Ben Solem it was a cool site to see been inside the pyramid and other site
That site itself was sold not that long ago to some religious group for about $750,000. And besides the main site shown, there were 4 or 5 satellite launch sites in the area. And then there is a second big radar unit close by, that while it was part of the total system is still in use by the USAF for early warning.
Here here! That would be a great idea,I think the decommissioning of the some are a distraction for the current active
I love this video also
You beat me to the first comment :O Amazing
If you crowd funded that helicopter I would donate a few buck
The Stanley Safeguard complex is over 100 miles away from Grand Forks.....
