i actually like that this doesn't run for very long. it's a fun toy to look at for a couple minutes every once in a while but not so long that after you lose interest it keeps going making noise you don't want to hear while trying to pay attention to other things.
Awsome! I really love the very clean design of that one with 3d printed main spring. I think it would be a great geeky replacement for tiny hourglasses that are used in for example boardgames. Very well done!
This is fantastic, one of the most beatiful things to 3D print for those who like mechanics. Question regarding the version which have only 3D printed parts and lasts a little bit less than a minute: if it the spring radius would have been bigger, could it have increased the amount of time the mechanism works?
Potentially! The spring does need to provide enough force to power the escapement, but not too much that it causes skipping; might take some experimentation to get that balance right.
Is there a specific size I need for the badge reel? I'm trying to make one too with the stl and the badge reel I have is different from the one in the video.
@@stan.3dprints YES I think I figured it out. you need to print the Escape Wheel mirrored on the x plane. this will reverse the gear. I noticed in the video that the large spring gear is a mirror of the model but instead of printing all of that again I decided it would be easier to print the small gear.
Karakurist channel is amazing! love this build too!

What a cool design, nicely done! I'm definitely going to make this, thanks for sharing the files. Hope to see your channel grow, all the best!
I love little gadgets like this! :)
Thats really cool. And statisfying to watch
this is so beautiful!
Awesome project, will be printing this one.
Don't I had to re-print every part twice because it broke, or because it broke. Did I mention it doesn't work?
this is so cool dude
Nice!
This is awesome, well done! Just subbed
can you please do a version with looser tolerances?

what's the number one thing that could be changed to make it run longer? more wheel teeth?

could please add a version for the one without the reel thank you and awesome design (tutorial)
watch the whole video
Great Video! What CAD did you use? Thank You AGAIN…
Thanks! I used fusion 360.
aaah printed it on my bambu a1, all fits together but it only clicks for like 1-2 seconds before it stopps again
same here. have you solved this problem?

MEH ... would have been cool if it was only 3d printed parts and not extra parts required that you would have to order ...
Try watching the entire video
My friend, why did you bother with such a ridiculous system? Why didn't you use 100% PLA material? Not everyone can provide the same material.
3d print the one without the badge reel, don't start criticizing people if you ain't even watch the whole thing
