The Chauvet D-Fi system has been rock solid for us, as have the FreedomPar Quad 4s (have like 40 of them), but I agree that it is frustrating having three main wireless DMX protocols - D-Fi, WiFly, and the color coded Chinese W-DMX. Meh. With IR you just master/slave using a central unit as master. Love having pan/tilt control like that vs going in and.manually moving in SoundSwitch or something else. Great for following a couple around the floor for their first dance. The tripod in the case is HUGE. I've forgotten it a few times. Lol

@@DJDarylBennett I agree with Daryl. 2.4Ghz wireless DMX is CHEAP AS FUCK these days. A few dollars per chip when ordered in the quantities that Chauvet would need. It actually makes financial sense to them to keep everyone on D-fi as well, so it's kinda weird they overlooked it. But maybe that's the point, they make more from selling the dongles separately, so why bring out a solution that hurts their bottom line.

Its wireless and is powered over usb c so you can use a battery to power it.
W-DMX would increase the price per fixture to manufacture so while agree with you, other mobile entertainers wouldn’t spend $600+ per uplight.
