Despite your belief in your other comments, roof venting is a very necessary procedure in fire and rescue; if it was truly useless like you say, it wouldn’t be used nearly as much
@@airfloresjp Based on my 55 years of experience interacting with humans at an adult level, I can guarantee you that just because everybody does it, it doesn't make it right. One idiot told 10,000 followers that it works and now you have 10,001 idiots out there. That's the human way. Two Dimensional Reactors not Three Dimensional Thinkers. Look at your channel. Which group do you think you belong in?
Roof venting Never works as intended for two reasons. 1. A building is Not a chimney and won't work like one. Between the hole and the first floor you have many dampers such as ceilings, floors and doors. 2. The main reason is this. The burning material in the attic will continuously generate energy Especially after you have cut a hole and introduced fresh air into it. As the flames go out the hole they are not causing a draft throughout the structure. The burning material is replacing everything that is escaping. Solution? Patiently find what is burning and put water on it. If it gets hot along the way, cool the ceiling with a spray of water. K.I.S.S.
You have literally copy and paste that comment of 4 different videos so far, If you want someone to do something about it then go to the department headquarters and paste this comment there...
You know the reason for opening the roof is so smoke escapes the stricter and by doing that increases visibility and better survival for victims inside
Aow You repeated what you have read and memorized very well but you and the vast majority of fire fighters don't think for yourselves to See if what they tell you is true. I have explained IN DETAIL above, two ways it does NOT WORK.. Just because an instructor at a fire college says something works, That does not necessarily make is So. Many things they teach are far from correct.I suggest you read it over and over again until it sinks in. I have over 50 years of experience in construction, fire fighting, fireplaces and chimneys and the relationship between water and fire. I know a LOT about how heat, smoke and flame work. Vertical Venting is a cruel joke that is and HAS endangered the lives of fire fighters and has damaged property every time it is used.
Newt Oh No! Another allcot! If they can read and understand English, they should be able to figure it out. They have memorized The Manual so they should be able to handle my comments.
They are true heroes
In all the video's of firefighters falling through a roof they are always up on the roof while they shouldn't be
fill bad
Unnecessary risk. There are other ways. However, they take more thought and they are less fun!
