Only problem with Lucio / Zen is having a tank with the awareness that they’re playing with Lucio / Zen and can’t hold W like a madman into the enemy team, then die and say “gg no heals”
yeah, I don't see this working outside of super high-rank play just because everyone has to be on the same page. I've found success with Moira Zen. I let the Zen do all the discording and damage he can and I pump endless heals into everyone.
Definitely. Especially with the DPS passive. Even with high healing supports it's so hard to keep a tank up if they keep pressing w. It's been hard the last season and even harder now.
had a game yesterday where my tank asked me to get off zen after our defense round. I had more healing than the enemy lucio and more damage than both of our dps and yet I was being targeted lol. Any players outside of high masters/grandmaster don't understand the best way to play with zen and it's frustrating when you're bringing so much value but its invalidated because your team wont play around the comp you have.
@@Trufflepops lol pumping heals isn't good anymore, that was the point of the dps passive. This comp is meant to be played with high self sustain heroes like ball sombra tracer
@@STartist. I get that, but the moira zen worked for me cuz not every player in comp knows how to capitalize on healing not being as effective anymore. wont be an everygame thing im sure but it worked well this one time
It's so nice to see Zen/Lucio be meta when it's used to be considered one of the worst Support comps. Even Ball is being played more when people thought he would be horrible after the patchnotes leaks.
I think you have misunderstood lol. Ball is not good but is played because lucio and zen are so OP

I remember lucio/zen dive meta for the first few seasons of OW1 was so much fun and required coordination from both teams. The sad part is if you go lucio/zen at any rank below gm your team instantly types "gg no heals" and gives up... I swear it will be season 99 and people will still be asking "yo can we run ana kiri?"
People don't know how to play the game independently and need to be heal carried

The support meta is changing even in lower ranks and I don’t know how I feel about it yet, but it’s interesting.

Yea, no way his hp isn't nerfed. I expect him at 250, maybe 225 at next patch.
funny because last night my tank purposely threw because we decided to use Zen 😅
That's because some people are delusional and don't want to change their minds about anything. I've been playing Brig for a year and only one player (an Ashe) truly appreciated me. I could have the highest stats and prevent the enemy from diving all game, yet never get a single thank you and even get flamed by my teammates just for playing Brig. Meanwhile, I watch teammate Mercy or Ana get showered with thanks even if they have worse stats just because people want to get their Damage Boost or Nano Boost.
Zen is still bad in low ranks because tanks get so much damage.
@@electricman2011If the hero is strong, but people can't play Tank while having low healing then it doesn't feel like it something to do with hero himself.
I swear, comp has been so much more toxic this season
@@electricman2011 this is because metal rank tanks have the "I'm a tank" mindset and don't understand the concept of using cover and the environment to your abilities and avoiding taking damage if possible (not feeding).
Been trying to get back to gm in support and playing zen. Diamond/masters players have trouble with it due to positioning and the lack of healing but the damage numbers I get are crazy. hopefully people will enjoy running dive comps more cause Im having so much fun playing zen in ranked.
I have been winning more games with Lucio/Zen than Ana/Brig. Really goes to show the meta in this season.

I main Ana, but I also switch Zen and Lucio anyway (In Diamond like 3? 2?). So I'm excited to use them more.

Literally I play Lucio Zen and Moira. I’m on cloud 9 atm. Lucio boop being back and better than ever gives me life!
No one talks about the new hitboxes? I mean head shot is a lot easier to come by let alone body shot. Basically all the glass cannon characters will be strong in this season.
I still hate the changes
I did not lose a single game playing zen the other day. I had over 15k damage and 10k heals one of those games. I literally owned tracers in my backline, and I think it's extremely oppressive to play against.
It is definitely a Zen meta, but I'd say it's dependent on skill level and co-ordinaton whether you go Zen Dive Comp or Zen Poke Comp.

I hated the changes at first but its starting to grow on me. Some characters are useless but engagments do require more teamwork. Dps also isnt useless anymore. But man still questioning the hitbox thing.
They should have only done health increases and seen how it went.
Kinda of in a similar boat, though actually really liking the changes. I think instead of universal hitbox changes they should have been character by character, though they may not have had enough data to inform how that was going to affect the player base as a whole. Some characters have been left out to dry but at the same time the really well designed characters in the game are the best and that is a good sign and I hope the buffs and nerfs will not be too dramatic.

I love Lucio and Zen, both are in my top played for the last 5-6 seasons, it's finally my time! What's the new rank? Doesn't matter here I come.
The fact that it is even remotely favorable for ball is kinda crazy

I played my placement matches on support. played moira only and got placed in Plat 5. Played 11 matches after being placed. Lost 9 won 2. Even the matches I lost I’ve gotten over 20k heals and close to 10k damage sometimes over 10k damage. Now I’m in Gold 2.

Exact theese 5 characters are the meta right now - the Zen that lives longer mostly wins - that u die is already Set in Stone - but u have to live long enough so your Team can win the teamfight
Lucio stays on Zen All game and boops enemy from Zen + speeds him around so He doesnt die before their Zen dies
every game i get flamed on Zen ;( DPS just angry my dmg and elims arehigher than theirs.
Snap kick is so stupid now, highest damage melee after Rein WITH kb. They need to make it a flat damage value like Brig, Torb and Rein.
as an almost one trick zen main him being meta threatens me be able to choose him, and or get flamed for playing a 'busted' hero
Playing Zen in Solo Q is rlly hard and almsot impossible. Zen is always solo, never defended, mates are always flanking or diving, or playing snipers....in A stack with high elo players seems to be giga op cuz of the coordination people have and VC. Solo Q VC is only used to flame

Not enjoying the current meta, some heroes like tracer and genji are impossible to play against as support. Brig used to be able to threaten these, now it's the other way around since they can hardly miss shots when diving.
Bruh as other dps it's scary going up against those 2 now...
Pharah is useless especially she has less airtime now...
The overcome will probably be that they will nerf Genji to the ground as always and give just a little scratch to Tracer
This meta stinks discord orb and DPS passive on the tank then a mei wall to seal the deal ez win. Tanks have no way to do well unless they are going to win anyways with team advantage. They need to give tanks a passive to be resistant to discord orb or get it out of 5v5
This whole season feels broken... Ive given up on this game. Devs are morally and creatively bankrupt :(

Idk every support I enjoyed is weak this season except Moira. Not enjoying this season so far. Dps is brainless now so I have been mainly just playing dps.

I love that Zenyatta is meta now he has never been and he is always the least used supp hero (for many years) in compt but now that he is shining people ask him to be nerfed 💢💢💢💢
Zenyatta was played a lot in T500 in OW1 because of the two tanks, but since OW2 he barely got any playtime.

Maybe lessen his projectile size a little, they did Nerf sojourn railgun after the global hitscan buff

Yeah, my friends and I are just waiting until they patch some of these changes. It feels very punishing and annoying to play support at this point. The five of us just deleted the game until they make it not the worst to get stuck on support.
All five of us flex, so playing DPS was a lot of fun. But every match each of us had support it really sucked the fun out of the game. I had SOME success running with Zen and Lucio, but it was so much more fun to play Echo, Tracer, and Genji. At one point I told them that I might just lock on DPS, but I felt bad because we all usually flex to give each other a shot at all the roles. It just doesn’t feel great to play support right now.
People in quick play are even pulling off successful dives now because of the changes. Playing dive heroes myself before felt pretty challenging, but it was so much easier after these changes. It’s nice to be able to confirm kills more easily, but it largely feels worse to try and save someone now.
I’m not sure if they need to have such a game changing passive for DPS along with the hitbox changes. Maybe if it was 10% instead of 20%? Or if it was only one second? A visual indicator would help too. This was honestly the worst patch I can think of in a long time. Unless you only play DPS. It was pretty fun then.
It feels bad because people forgot how to play the game with how brainless support was for so long. Now you and your team can't rely on infinite pocket heals

Damage dealt is too little. And your hit rate is terrible. Your teammates really had a hard time carrying you. Looks like someone used a hackwall cheat to cheat too. Even though your lane and PC configuration are great, if you play solo, it's only at platinum. 8:43
