This band played an amazing unlikely show in Gainesville, Fl. on April first 1989. Some guys saw them play to an empty room the previous night in Jacksonville and invited them to headline a house party with two local bands. The cops shut down the show 10 minutes into the first band ( Bumble ). Somebody came up with the brilliant idea to break into a vacant apartment at our house and do it there. I don't think anybody in town had heard Das Damen before that but they were legend after that night.
Very nice one for uploading this , til now I've only been privvy to Mousetrap. Saw them live back then , just before Grunge was commercially tagged as Grunge and all the music corpsorations shat themselves and signed anyone willing. These really where the days , in terms of independent music. Thanks.
I found this band on MTV 120 minutes back when they played the song Bug. (the 80s) Even though I had no idea what would happen, when basically every American home, had a computer with the ability to access almost anything. I just kept on making my song lists. Bands, whose music wasn't in the stores back then, is right here.
