Honestly, that last verse was enough to make this song my favourite from the entire mixtape. With that being said, I love the straight-forward approach you're taking with these reactions; no long ass intros to skip though, no annoying pauses at every decent bar/line he says, and most importantly, a clever, honest and logical breakdown of the song with no additional cringe and unnecessary excitement added into it.
The last verse was crazy! Thank you for that comment, I massively appreciate it. Anything you would change about/ or would like to see more or less of?
@@AltSpace As a non-expert in this whole reaction scene, I really can't think of anything off the top of my head, but in my opinion that just shows that your reactions are about as good as they get from an average viewer's perspective. Keep up the great work!
@@AltSpace I agree with this dude as a person that is watching variety of reaction channels and videos, they might pop off more because of the overexaggerated hype in their reactions but your breakdowns are something to truly appreciate.
He compares his relationship with pain to that of a drug addict "I don't do drugs, I'm addicted to the pain though" from change, shows how he knows it's hurting him (killing him even) but he doesn't know how to kick it - his relationship ship with negative thoughts/pain/anger/depression/anxiety and not knowing who he is with out them anymore is like that of an addict
The “unknown sounds” is super jarring, but I think it was meant to be. To me, it accentuated that portion of the song. It was uncomfortable, but like most people find the unknown uncomfortable. And the fact that jarring delivery bothered me made it even more poignant. Because I didn’t know why it was there, it was an unknown sound with an unknown purpose.
5:40 i think he's going back to this: "I don't do drugs, I'm addicted to the pain though Yeah, I been on it for a while, dunno how to put it down Gotta have it, it's a habit I'ma break though I just wanna take a hit, keep sayin' I'ma quit Keep sayin' I'ma leave, but I stay though" - change
I’m not sure when I went down the rabbit-hole of listening to YT music reaction videos but out of the whole lot, when reviewing NF, you’re my favorite hands down.
Weird. Personally I love that "unknown sounds" part. I feel like it's that part of the song that you find yourself saying because it gets stuck in your head. But that's just me
This song is such a vibe, bro. It makes me mellow out, but somehow manages to make my mind wander at the same time. Nate is more than just another rapper, the guy is truly an artist. Crazy thing... This is just the mixtape. I can’t even imagine what this next album is gonna be like. I N S A N E.
I think the “Unknown Sounds” is supposed to feel unsettling-it is definitely intentional, even though I’m not sure what the reason is, it is more powerful that way!
Wow. Just, wow... I never would have caught how deep the metaphor could go in this song. I especially enjoyed your thoughts on the ease of the escalator vs. the effort of the stairs - both leaving you in the same mental state.
Love ur reactions! This is by far my favorite song on the mixtape. It hits me different than any song he has done and i just love the whole vibe the song gives. And "Unknown Sounds" is one of my favorite parts of the song. Love listening to this in my car with the volume way up...takes me away from the stress for awhile 🖤
I like your videos a lot man, it's professional, calm and honest. I like your breakdowns and reaches, because that's the type of music NF puts out, it's open to interpretations. I hope that your channel will grow bigger.
Probably my favorite track right now as I am ADD all over this track when it comes to picking a favorite. This one gets stuck in my head the most in a good way. Love it!
Love your reactions! Love the way you dig so deep and go to all these different places! Loved the theory about his mom. Excited for the rest of the mixtape!
What's crazy is that I've watched other people react to music but yours my man. You actually analyze and go back to other songs that where he has building on himself. NF albums are like movies. But you bro are the only one I subscribed to. Its genuine and real. Appreciate it the review and a different points of view brother. Because it makes think more in depth to. Thanks man.
Also I love this song but I agree with the "UNKNOWN SOUNDS" should really be "Unknown Sounds" jarring is fairly accurate for this song but other than that (a small opinion based flaw) the whole mixtape is pretty much flawless
So your comment about the needle made me think of the start of Change when he says "I don't do drugs, I'm addicted to the pain though". Even the flow of the song feels like a delirious trip. Listening to Change again, I wonder if this is the precursor to that song. It's awesome hearing your insights and thoughts on the songs - keep 'em coming!
I love the way you explain your perspective on his music and look at things from a different angle. Keep it up man, you should also check out Witt Lowry
If you think of depression and the pain that comes from it..it can feel like an addiction. The people who leave you are the ones you couldn't keep because of how your pain made you feel and react to their existence in your life. Injecting feelings of unwant and watching the people you love stop wanting you..it can feel like drifting. Depression feels like you are drifting through existence in the most negative way possible.
LOVE THE QUALITY & The reactions! :O Just a tip, can you have the shot closer to you, otherwise we feel a tad distant. Have your face closer improves the reaction :3
He has had the deep distorted echo on a few songs. Cigarettes on story, insignificant on this one. I have to wonder if those are little easter eggs for the next album. Maybe concepts or song titles. Its fun to think about these things
Such a sick video g! can you listen to prideful, next bro - keep in mind other songs like emotionless by drake when listening to it, personally feel like there's a lot of similarities

I'd rather listening to u reaching real hard in a reaction than u just listening without thinking bout it. Love the reactions bro❤❤
Facts. He makes me think about songs in ways I never have before.

Thank you for tuning in and listening to me spewing all of these weird thoughts I have about music in these videos!
@@AltSpace nah i should be the one thanking u

NF said he added that last verse when he had sit on that song for months already. I believe even recently before releasing the mixtape.
Fun fact:
Every song is favorite song in the Mixtape
You’re the only reactor I don’t fast forward through on parts.
Yup

Interesting take. I never thought of it like that. Makes total sense though. Thanks bro!
never seen somebody starting a react vid faster, love it
How is this just something to hold on to while waiting for the next album? It's so gooooood
The unknown sounds part is my favorite part. I love that type of voice effect.
Me too! I sing that part around the house all the time lol
i agree me too! 💯

Yeah thats what I was thinking about also during that point.

He said this was a song he sat on for awhile, and it went through changes. That’s where the background of his voice was added in this final piece.

Exactly! Artist is the keyword here, his music goes way beyond rap
@@AltSpace No doubt, totally agree. Can’t wait to see you get to some of these other tracks. Keep doing your thing, much love, big homie!
I listened to this song a few times, grew on me and is now one of my favourites
Man, I love how you connect things from different NF tracks in your reactions. Very original and insightful. Fantastic! Keep it up!
My favorite song on the mixtape
Ahh my heart.... the "unknown sounds" part is honestly one of my favorite parts. lol
Thinking about this song in regards to his mom is so deep. It's blowing my mind because it makes sense.

That Jon Bellion comparison in terms of the beat is so spot on.
Great reaction!!

Thank you my dude! I appreciate the feedback to, I'll experiment with this and see if I can improve the shot. Stay safe 🙏🏾
An escalator can never break. It can only become stairs. Sorry for the convenience. -Mitch Hedberg
I don’t think he drinks because in INTRO 1
He says he DOSENT drink but he lives in these bars
If you like vocals as a sound pool pleeeeeease react to prideful off this mixtape it’s so good
Prideful is coming up next Jared, stay tuned!

what artist are you going to do after NF?
You should do just like you next its soo good
Just like you is🔥🔥🔥
To be honest I've been an NF fan from the beginning...everyone tries to dissect his music. Maybe.....dont dissect....maybe just listen :)
I can't do that I'm afraid, it's too good not to
I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like a Kanye type beat.
Yo that yikes face in the thumbnail 😆

He has had the deep distorted echo on a few songs. Cigarettes on story, insignificant on this one. I have to wonder if those are little easter eggs for the next album. Maybe concepts or song titles. Its fun to think about these things
Btw I think the “unknown sounds” was referring to you thinking the song was over with and him ripping that
NF said in an interview that he doesn't drink alcohol.

Where are you from in Britain? I love your accent ❤️
I think he's addicted to his misery, he wine allow himself to be happy and enjoy things, because the misery is such a big part of who he is
