I love watching your videos. You always inspire me to clean and to make small goals for myself when feeling overwhelmed. My son will be 3 the end of February, my daughter just turned 1 middle of November and I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant so my energy levels are close to nothing. I watch yours and Tiffani Beaston’s vlogs and it just helps me get the ball rolling. I struggle with depression and anxiety so it’s nice to see you being real on your videos. You stay true to who you are and that’s very rare to find here on UA-cam. You don’t put a load of makeup on or make sure your dressed prim and propper or make sure your hair is curled or your kitchen is cleaned up before vlogging. You show your real day to day life and it makes me feel like it’s okay to not be perfect. Love you Jen!
    All the way from Ohio💗

I like to use a bread maker to make the dough and then bake it in the oven. When your bread comes out of the oven leave in the pan, brush with butter, and cover with a towel for 30 minutes for a softer crust

I’ve had a cuisinart breadaker for 14yrs.It’s how I started with yeast breads. I don’t use it anymore I just use my new Bosch mixer. I never really liked how they baked the bread but they were good for mixing the dough you can pull out the little dough thing before the dough actually bakes

I have made bread in the bread machine 100s of times: Here are a few suggestions: when the machine first starts, have a rubber spatula to scrap the sides of the pan, have warm water ready in case the dough is too dry. It should look like satin, and finally, take the kneading blade out before the final baking. It takes some practice.

When I had a bread machine I only used it for dough. It's awesome for pizza dough! I didn't like the really hard crusts it always made so I liked to put the dough into a regular bread pan and baked in the oven.

  • @Peggyanns
    @Peggyanns 3 роки тому

It takes some practice to get the hang of using the bread machine. Here is what I learned: 1). When the dough is first mixing, use a rubber spatula to scrape down the dough. 2) Have a little extra warm water to pour in if the dough looks dry, and 3) I always put on the pasta cycle, take out the dough, knead it for a few minutes and then put it in a bread pan, let it rise for an hour and bake it in the overnight.

First thing.... I love my bread machine! I have tried for several years to make bread and I just can’t. But I can in that! I make pizza dough, rolls, cinnamon bread etc. I do recommend keeping a smaller rubber scraper handy to knock down the sides as it mixes. And always put things in it in order. Welcome to the bread machine world! I
Funny!! I heard my washer/dryer go off while watching and I totally went to my laundry room! Lol 🤣 nothing was inside. I wish you could have seen how confused I was! It was totally funny! I'm an experienced bread maker / bread machine user. 2 tips: When using wheat flour, always add vital wheat gluten as well. Also, when measuring flour for bread, spoon the flour in to a cup and level off with a knife. If you scoop, you'll add too much flour and end up with a rock instead of bread. You can get away with this making bread by hand, but since the machine is "set it and forget it" you'll miss the part where you would notice that the dough needs more water. Its all about flour / fluid balance. On the upside, the dense bread you ended up with will make awesome bread crumbs! (and bread crumb cookies).

I learned to make bread when I was 18, because I moved out, but I still wanted to eat like I was a kid at my Grandmas house..lol I make bread a lot, and it only takes me a few minutes because it’s easy now, but for years, I really had a battle with yeast breads. Here’s what solved my problem. I bought a digital kitchen scale! I weigh my flour, and I get perfect results every time. I don’t even get out the kitchenaide either. I just use my mixer with the dough hooks, then knead it a couple times and done! I also measure all of my powdered sugar. It makes a huge difference. :) You got some really nice gifts. And those lights for the kids are awesome!! 👍🤩

I have never liked the crust from my breadmaker, but what I do now is use the dough setting (even for fruit breads, cinnamon rolls, and yeast rolls) and let it mix and rise in the breadmaker then move it to a bread pan, let it rise again while my oven pre-heats (let rise about 30 - 45 minutes) and bake it in my oven. much nicer soft crust and it's more shaped like a regular loaf of bread for sandwiches

Hey Jen, it looks to me that the dough could use just a little bit more water in it, once it starts kneading, feel free to add more - a tablespoon at a time. Another tip, when you put all the ingredients in, keep the inner container out of the machine. That will save you a cleanup in case you spill flour or water into the machine itself. Believe me, been there :( Just put everything in and click the inner pot in the machine with all ingredients already in it! Love your videos. Happy New Year

I love my Vionic slippers! I’ve had them for a few years. You need to gradually work your way up to wearing them for long periods. I believe Christopher Kimmel separated from America’s Test Kitchen (one of my favorite cooking shows- I have their cookbook...AWESOME!). I bought my daughter a mini fridge that you can set to keep foods warm too-does yours do that? And finally...I’m a planner addict! The most useful planner I’ve ever used was a bullet journal but it was soooo much work to do the months and weekly layouts. But it was the one I used most consistently and found to be most helpful. You can google their recipe or you can look on NOVA Frugal Family for the Sandwich bread. I highly recommend it! Light and fluffy and lasts a long time. Most people say that wheat bread is heavy and it is better with half white and half wheat flour to make it lighter. If you don't want those clumps, you have to look at the machine to after it is done mixing then push in any extra flour and it will come out with out the burnt chunk on the top or the side of the loaf.

I still use my bread machine to make the dough. Does yours have a dough setting? If so use that. Then let it rise in the pan in a warm place and bake it in the oven. Turns out perfect every time, even at altitude!

I'm not sure if somewhere in the comments someone has already mentioned this but I think you can remove the bread maker paddle after it's done kneading the dough before it starts baking to avoid the hole at the bottom of the loaf. Check your mini fridge and see if you can plug it in inside your car when traveling for beverages or lunch.
I think Connor’s RC car is “Remote Control.” . . . Just based on previous shopping experience.

I have had my bread makeup for about 15 years and I love it it really came in handy during a snowstorm when no one could get out I made about 10 loaves of bread and gave them to the neighbors my favorite bread to make is a cinnamon swirl bread with raisins also I had a recipe for bread with Italian seasonings in it which came out very well.
I also had a recipe for pizza my boys love that one and I used to give them the Joe and let them go to town to make their own pies.
The more you use it the more you learn to love it I did have some problems with wheat bread but I'm a rye bread which came out very well

Question, looking to try the moon balance- Are the containers half full when you receive like you showed here in your vid? Or is that what you've used?

I’ve used them, but you only need 1 tsp powder for each smoothie :)

I never bake in my bread maker .. I make the dough in it then put the dough in a loaf pan and bake it in the oven.

I LOVE "what I got" videos; what better way to get ideas. Your red bag is gorgeous; it's such a perfect shade of red. And that little fridge! I need that, because heaven forbid I would walk to the big fridge.🤣🤣 I'd like to see some organization/planning from you. I got burned out on watching people who continually do their planners and call it content but, basically, if you publish it I'll watch it.👍

I’d love a review on the bread machine once you’ve tested it out.
