I wanna give u a big big hug for this vid... I can't find enough motivation to finish any of my drafts to send it to my mentor. Hopefully it'll change in 20 minutes. If not... idk what to do. Again, thank you! You're amazing and inspiring and so hard-working
This works! I unknowingly did every single thing Theo talked about in this video to get into med school this cycle (Class of 2026). I scored a 507 (using MCAT Self Prep) and decided to apply only to MD. I showcased my unique patient experiences of working as a direct care provider for adults with intellectual disabilities throughout my applications. When researching schools I applied to those that were roughly 10-25% in range and ones that I felt I matched with their mission. I was incredibly lucky and received 8 interview invites, 2 waitlists, and 5 acceptances! One school offered me a full-tuition scholarship and another accepted me into their Scholars Program covering the full COA. His comment about reach schools is TRUE. Find what is unique about you and sell it!
This definitely works. I think for me, I got like a high 490 MCAT score and got provisionally accepted to medical school this year. And I only applied once, too. I think my compelling story about my journey definitely helped me too. For my application, I did highlight my commitment to community service/active involvement with my community and used my military background and volunteer experiences to tie it all together. It def worked. They saw that, and asked me a bunch of questions about it during the breakout session before the main interview. Applying to med school is an overall daunting and challenging experience. I think its the most extensive and rigorous application I’ve ever had to do or fill out and thankful for MCAT self-prep and Dr Gray for helping out.

Congratulations, that's great news you've been provisionally accepted!
Was it md or DO? How are you liking it?
