Venčanje i svadbena svečanost snimali su se pre 40 godina na super 8 - filmskoj traci. Kadriranje se vršilo preko optičkog vizira kamere, a blenda se postavljala merenjem osvetljenosti objekta uz upotrebu specijalnog instrumenta - svetlomera. Snimalo se brzinom 18 ili 24 frejma u sec. Raspoloživo vreme snimanja na traci 3 min:15 sec.
Fokusiranje se obavljalo ručno, procenom udaljenosti od objekta snimanja do kapije na filmskoj traci. Filmske trake su imale osetljivost 50 ili 100 ASA (ISO). U zatvorenim prostorima, asistent snimatelja nosio je reflektor od 2x1000W, što je često izbacivalo osigurače u Opštinama i ugostiteljskim objektima gde se obavljalo snimanje venčanja i svadbi.

After filming, the film was developed in a laboratory, with specialized chemical processing, so-called. a reverse process that produced a tape ready for projection on film projectors. Bigger enthusiasts also did assembly on specialized assembly tables. The sound was recorded on a magnetic track glued to the film strip.
