      Hi Emma, could you do something about shoes? I struggle to find a comfy pair that fits the style of my capsule. I mostly go with black. Maybe there are other neutral but more colorful options? Thanks for your work. I really enjoy your videos. The have helped me focus and pinpoint the look I really want.

      I’m old enough, or my feet just need more support, where I can’t wear cute flats & heels much. I need shoes that are good for my feet (which cost more). I would wear more skirts & dresses, for every day, if I had more comfortable shoes that didn’t look frumpy. I’d appreciate ideas or places to find them.

      Hi, Emma! I'm really enjoying your videos. I have a very classic style, but I struggle with not wanting to look frumpy. If you could do a video on classic style and how to jazz it up/make it more current that would be great :)

    Éléments of rock style, carefree and rebellious:
    1. Moto jacket
    2. Prints and graphics (plaid, animal print, band Ts)
    3. Leather (jackets, pants, skirts and dresses)
    4. Embellishments (studs, zippers)
    5. Distressing

    I think boots are one of the most important elements of this style - Doc Martens, moto or western boots give outfits the rock and roll vibe.

      Oh, I’m so excited! Thank you! I’m still tweaking my capsule. I put it together just for the month of May, due to WI weather, then will try another capsule for summer. What I’m finding that I didn’t expect, is that there are pieces I included to try to make myself wear, and I’m realizing why I never chose them. They seem like perfectly good pieces but just don’t work. It’s helping me declutter more (if I don’t wear them by June 1), and feel better about buying a few that will work better.

    • @DaisyGalStyling
      @DaisyGalStyling  4 роки тому +1

      Maria Siegfried So true! It is so great to hear that you have been working on your wardrobe and figuring out what works and doesn’t work for you. That is the first step! There are so many great pieces and sometimes you have really good intentions to wear them when you first buy them. But if they don’t fit right or you don’t love them then you won’t wear them. And if you keep track of the things you discover then you can make better buying decisions in the future. I’m excited to hear more about your progress!

    Hooray, I was so excited to see this video pop up! 🥳 I love the ideas for dressier options-since I can’t go I TOO edgy for work but still like staying true to the style. Such a good idea to cut off thrifted pants for the distressed look! As a super long-legged person, many of the great pants I find thrifting are too short anyway, so I totally do that just out of necessity! But it gives it a unique flair 🖤🖤

    • @DaisyGalStyling
      @DaisyGalStyling  4 роки тому +4

      Thank you! I plan on doing a mixing trends video to tie this series together. I find that it is really all about mixing in a few pieces into your wardrobe. Take a classic look and change one element to add a different style. For example, adding a leopard print cami under a blazer and some dark wash jeans is an easy switch. Accessories are definitely not the only way to change up your looks. Would love to dive deeper into this one!

    Okay it’s been 2 years so I don’t know if you’re still up for doing another one of this series but if so, I’d like to see one on the rugged & untamed/jungle look (I honestly don’t know what it’s called but it has been my favourite kind of style since ages). Think Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon, or Jane from Tarzan at the end of the movie, Nova from the original Planet of the Apes lol. I really want to incorporate those kinds of earthy messy elements to my day-to-day wardrobe without being mistaken as a hippie that wears a lot of loose and colourful garments. I think it embodies the dark, mysterious, feral nature of the jungle rather than focusing on the beautiful and flowery part of nature.

    In my opinion, these pieces are not really rock style. Most jackets are not edgy -they are for older women in chic Style. Not for young girls/women. A leather pants and leather Jacket and Docs don't make e rockstyle/Punkstyle.

    Can't wear half these things in an outside concert event area where there is grass and alot of walking if you don't want to stay sat in your seat. Need emphasis on wearing your favorite band on a t-shirt, accessories, different types of jeans and different types of shoes for the occasion. Emphasis more of what is practical and comfortable as opposed to what looks good in a picture.

    What's your opinion on real leather? Should brands use them? Asking since I work on a brand and we are not sure if we should go for real leather or not, vegan leather is also very bad for the envoirment.
