Warn 8274 9.5 XP motor

  • Upgraded the 8274 going on the Unimog with a 9.5XP motor P/N 68608, as well as gear 98380, as well as a new solenoid pack. I have no reason to use a contactor style solenoid.
    Upon initial run, it looks like I’ll most certainly need to repair the brake assembly.

    The brake only works when there is tension on the drum

      Older style brake had small round pucks. That's why the ratchet bit has the holes in it even after warn changed the design

      I like it! I'm putting a 9.5xp motor on my even older 5687 warn Belleview winch. I had to machine an offset adapter for the motor since the stock motor was a 14 tooth gear, and the 18 tooth gear was what is available for this motor.
