I knew you were in for a good experience when I saw the mala spice packet and you were like “the harissa is the spiciest I’ve gotten” Idk if it’s true everywhere but mala is what they call the type of spice they have here in Chongqing, specifically that numbing of the sichuan peppercorns with those red chilis.
Tom! “Club Mouse Beat” and “Magical Music World” were updated in April. Unfortunately, all performances of "Club Mouse Beat'' are held by lottery, but for "Magical Music World" even if you don't win, you can still watch the performance from the second floor seats. （I am using a translation software, so I am sorry if my English is wrong.）

I’m not going to lie. I’m jealous of Tom on so many levels but more than jealousy, my heart is filled with joy for Tom. I remember many years ago when I was working odd hours and Tom was doing a livestream from @ TDR and watching this brings me right back to that time, the pure joy that is that authentic Disney of days gone bye. Plus, how awesome is it that Tom is seriously living his best life right now. He’s finally getting to bask in his empire that he has built.

One thing about the Space Mountain replacement. You mentioned the Cosmic ride system. Cosmic is made by Vekoma, but us eagle eyed coaster nerds ID the track being installed as Intamin. Intamin does sell a controlled spin coaster with various SFX. It's called a multi-dimensional coaster iirc.
It's probably going to be a tamer version of the Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift coaster coming to Universal Studios Hollywood if i had to guess. A second space mountain with a launch would be a welcome addition.
That 40th window reminds me SO MUCH of old school downtown Disney windows. 90's Era Disney. Back when there were neat original shops there. So much detail and care. I've gotta get to Japan, man, lol.

When I heard Tom was going to Japan I was worried we weren't going to see much content from Tom but it seems like were actually getting more lol. Loving the vlogs, keep at it. One thing I would work on is the audio levels cause some parts are way louder than others.

Love that they still have the classic scene of the “auctioning of women” scene at Pirate’s!! ……..they’re PIRATES, not boy scouts!! Glad Tokyo put their foot down NOT to change it, (or Splash).
I cried when I walked through that entrance and saw the castle. It was so clean. WDW is more like a traveling carnival and the cast in most case don't care now. Pride was apparent at TDL. My favorite part of coming to the park on the train from center city was the employee parking lot - 100s to 1000s of bikes.
I'm literally watching while gazing over my first 13 years Tokyo Disney Merch....pretty fun stuff💯(😭& ive never been there even once😭...🤷All brought back for me by friends).
Of course the Speedramp on the exit of Pirates works. If it broke, they would fix it. Immediately. This is a perfect illustration of how the Tokyo Disney parks are operated versus the Disney parks elsewhere. We once spotted one of the popcorn lights burned out on the sign above the center entrance under the monorail station coming from the Disneyland Hotel. We were semi-shocked, but by the next night, it was fixed. Of course it was.
Love it when there's no real agenda. You get to walk around and just soak it all up. Thanks for taking us with you! I totally agree with your Small World observations. I really wish they'd restore the one in FL to it's original, everything works version. Rotator cuff procedures must be the most common surgery in Tokyo. Those Cast Members really give 100% when it comes to waving. 👋
I've been going to TDR once and sometimes twice a year from 2004 through 2019 before the world shut down. Unfortunately I haven't been back yet, but hope to soon. Thank you so much for sharing your stay there with us. I had the pleasure of meeting you for the first time in Tokyo Disneyland with my friend Chris the Explorer in 2018 and we watched Dreamlights. Save a bench for me when I return. Have a wonderful time there at my favorite Disney resort.
Did you know that in March most students in Japan are on a school break and graduations are happening so the parks would be most crowded (other than Golden Week in May). We avoid going to TD/DS during these dates.
I absolutely loved this blog! It was such a treat to see all of the care and attention to detail that fueled my obsession with CA Disneyland when I was growing up! I look forward to the next vlog. Thanks for bringing this to us!
Constructive: love long form UA-cam. We are Disney fans and love to be immersed in park experience, so take all the time you need to convey your experiences. I have a sneaky suspicion your camerawork will become more and more refined over time. This almost feels like a documentary, a guide to an American’s experience in Tokyo, which could prove quite useful for those of us (me and others, I’m sure) planning adventures to the far east in the future. Keep talking about how you navigate daily life. Even the quips about convenient store runs are useful and help to set the scene. I like how you linger on moments in the park and capture ‘action’ moments but also the normal times too. Gives good sense of the aura of park experience. I like the style of how you record scenic moments then offer commentary, but maybe play around with that a bit more? Just random thoughts that come to mind, but I’ll tune in next time and possibly find other areas for improvement, but so far- great work!
I'm sure you're aware already but there was a LOT of background noise from this camera, until you had your chicken nuggets, then it went nice and quiet 😆
Do they just shine a pink light onto Cinderella Castle to make it look like the pink paint jobs on the US castles? It's hard to tell. I can't wait to go visit these parks someday. Thanks for showing us around much more than TDR Explorer ever has (love him though). I love seeing the antique machines in the Arcade. I want one of those plush Mickey heads.

Do you enjoy visiting the park by yourself? I ventured out to Epcot by myself and I thought I’d be a little nervous but I think Epcot’s Lands is the best place to meander around alone. Your vlog is great!
Tom, I want you to go to grocery stores to buy and review things like Black Thunder chocolate, Amaou & Tochiotome strawberries, and some other food items you can't find in the U.S. in your future Japan vlog. As for Black Thunder chocolate, you could typically find more flavors sold at convenience stores than at grocery stores

I grew up with Disney World but my visits to Tokyo Disneyland have been great (other than getting up at the crack of dawn to get there). It is the park I remember from the 70's and 80's. The old Tommorowland entrance gets me each time.
Yep, I love your reaction to pistachio popcorn. And, "We want's the redhead!" Wow! I mean I really like Red in the new Pirates, but yeah, I the charm of the original... mostly. Well, yep, with Cap'n Jack Sparrow in there. Oh my, how cute are the Little Oysters! Wow, they have my ex-wife... err... the Red Queen as a plush badge. I went with her to Small World in June of '79. Yep, it was better than in memory than the last time I went. Wow, the view of the castle from World Bazaar is wonderful. And yes, the tunnel for the late-comers looked cool. Ha, the people IN the Happy Ride were chair dancing. Hey, any kind of food for $8.00 is really good. Ok, that nighttime parade is the most amazing one I've ever seen. Wait, I saw the nighttime Christmas parade in DL in 2022. They don't have those anymore here in the states? And when they added IP stuff to Small World, I expected to hear about the ghost of Mary Blair showing up and haunting the place. It's still beautiful. Yeah, last time I went to DL with my daughters (not last Christmas, before that) and I walked eight miles... and ended up with low blood sugar. Got a little loopy 'cause of that. I really enjoyed this vlog, Tom. Good work. I look forward to others, although I can't guarantee that I'll watch the entire hour again. Well, at least in one sitting.

Love the vlog. I know it's a Disney based channel, but you could do some other things. Go see the Meiji Jingu Shrine/ Omotesando, eat around Shibuya, Yomiuri Giants baseball game, Roppongi is pretty cool, I don't know just some thoughts. Since you are there for a while.
My children sometimes accuse me of sounding like Eeyore. I know you were glad to be back, Tom, but 'til you got through the gate, that's what it sounded like. Was it the weather? I've heard the weather at TDL can be chancy. Not as much as DLP, but maybe that was the problem? Yeah, you really didn't cheer up 'til Construction Mickey!
