I love how technican who brings mic just comes with groove and feels it. Most of the times we see these people trying to be invisible.
lol so true. i rewound that part many times. No way you can't bop your body.
I mean: It's good the way it is, right? If this wasn't a cool exception we would be pretty annoyed by technicians who try to steal the show :D
I think if Victor suddenly had a case of the hiccups, they would be in syncopation. He reminds me of Winton Marsalis, the level of musicianship, the level of musical knowledge( theory & history) & the level of passion they both have that just seems to continue to grow. Mad Respect to these men.
Met him while waiting in line at Islands of Adventure in 2015, we spoke for several minutes. He asked me what instrument I played and said guitar, he replied with “aw, that’s too bad” and laughed
Totally regret not getting a picture, really cool dude.
Hey, instead of taking selfie you totally embraced the moment and took all you could take from it. No regrets.
That echo at the end on "zero" was just perfect
Nobody grooves like Victor. Love this.
I saw him with the Flecktones several times in the 90's, he's still going strong.
It was a treat hearing those measures where Victor really laid done some funky lines that grooved! So talented.
This is a video you have to watch again immediately after it's over
He's just so natural and fluid in his playing. He makes the most difficult sounding lines look like a stroll in the park...
I've seen Victor several times between Soul Circus and his other solo gigs, and I have to say that he and his band mates are not only incredible musicians, but incredible performers. These guys know how to put on a show.
The drummer playing like its just a piece of cake for him.
He's a Wooten what did you expect? Nothing musical seems difficult for this family. Play on Bro's
@@milosjanic1038 No body is perfect maan! The best of the best make mistakes no matter how great a person in whatever field. If you're going to single out the drummer to say he messed up a few times... well everyone on that stage errored at some point. To me it weren't that obvious. Not looking for a person's flaws to see their mistakes. I'm listening to the chemistry of these geniuses at what they do best. Not many musicians can count time signatures at this level... sad but that's just the reality. No negatives in here for me! Very well done my brother's. 💯🙏🏾
even if you dont know anything about music, just watching this will bring you a big smile
👏🏾👏🏾 Mr. Wooten delightful as always.
This is an incredible moment to capture and share for us all to enjoy!
Tears of joy come to my eyes when I hear victor play. He turns into an alien when that bass guitar is in his hands. Wow. Still the VERY BEST BASSISTS FOR THE NEXT TEN GENERATIONS on this Earth or may be more ,Victor.
I agree for the most part. By that, I mean that I always considered him the best, because he always was. But I highly, HIGHLY recommend you check out Charles Berthoud here on UA-cam. I genuinely believe he's surpassed Victor as far as technical ability. Idk about improv, but Charles is absolutely mind blowing, and is still incredibly musical.
He has some goofy videos that are just for fun, but if you watch a few of them, you'll see what I mean. Especially his more serious videos. It's unbelievable what he can do.
@@NautilusGuitars yes CB is an amazing bassist heard a lot his music. Love his technique, skill and humility as well.
I met him once in Indy at a guitar center. Really cool and down to earth guy. I had no clue who he was, but my friend Ryan who's a bass player knew of him. We chatted for a 40 minutes..
Played guitar for decades and now I realize, I'm not necessary.
I burned my Ibanez after I listened to Jeff Loomis + Pat Matheny in the same evening.
when the four-quarter time gets boring ...
conspicuous this wonderful "jumping out", the one on the seven, on the six on the five etc. It is a perfect rhythm exercise! YES!
I wish I knew enough to fully appreciate this.
.... someday....
@Jack, I’ve been hobby studying guitar & music theory for about 7 years and I still struggle with time signatures. Your comment is appreciated, Jack.
Genius way to end a great show!
Victor Wooten just makes music fun!
Incredibly tight. What an amazing band.
Love that shit, man. Man I wanna see a band like that.
Artist sometimes complain about UA-cam but, I went to see Victor Wooton live because I saw him on UA-cam.
Man. I’d love to see these guys live. Tighter than two coats of paint.
i was having a tough day at work and this was the cherry on top to make things smooth. Thank you Victor and band for being incredible musicians who also have fun doing their craft :) i love this so much.
Masters of the crafts of both musicianship and showmanship. Who else is at this level on both fronts? I can't name any rivals atm
That was so f'ing cool. Music like this gives me energy, makes me want to play more, better, cleaner, faster and with a groove like Victor!
This is like how Penn and Teller reveal how magic is done, but it doesn't make it any less amazing
This is well underrated comment, as the analogy is brilliant.
It looks so simple when you get it broken down like this... until you try it yourself. That's the moment you realise it takes years and years of hard work to make it look this effortless.
taking it to a new level,, awesome
food to the soul , always love listening this guys ! great players
Love it...absolutely brilliant!
Drummer's doing his job just fine as well.
Like a fine wine....
Absolutely amazing👍
Absolutely love Victor, one of those amazing bass players
I’ve had the pleasure to see Victor twice here in the LA area. He’s so great and such a humble and generous person.
Masterfully done!
Drummer Heaven.
It’s a privilege to watch a master of the bass perform
Giggled the whole time watching...thanks for sharing!!
Great Group!!
Music is really a language. And these guys have PhD in communication.
@@javimiami92 They are all extraordinary musicians, but not one of them has a doctorate in music.
WOW. They are truly masters
Simply awesome.
Never get tired of this! 🤤
This is Math Rock's funky second cousin
I had this set to 1.25 speed by mistake and thought my brain was about to explode.
Ok, that was great! Awesome, funny, incredible, impressive as heck, and just plain badass.
I always love when they do that
Master class session.
Amazing 👏
This is some musicianship. Would love to see this in person.
My nephew loves this guy.
Class as always!
wow!!!! outstanding!!!
The drummer being able to hold that down... my gawd...
Fully enjoyable and invigorating.
Incredible!!
This is next level and education music....i kept counting and lost it🤣🤣🤣
Music theory taught in a really entertaining way!
Very funky and even more impressive.
That was fun!
kinda video you watch and you just left smilin' for days
I love those "Showtime at the Apollo" keyboards :)
Sax player said, "I've gone as far as I can. You guys carry on." Lol
My God what a class!
This is what true misicianship looks like. Amazing!!!
Kind of crazy how this can teach timing better then most music lessons
best of all time! 😀
such beautifull people, only kindness, hapiness, sharing and monstruous talent...here are real humans, thanks such a lot...I agree with a nwo only if these kind of guys are presidents!
Musical Gods 🏆🙏

Amazing!
changing time signatures in the middle of a song great music.....
That’s awesome!!
Wow that’s impressive! They make it look simple
Fantastic Musicians. Fonky! 🔥
That was groovy & educational!
Awesome!
Love it !!! ❤️
Lovely.
Wiggy awesome musicians - musicians ! 😎
Simply Greatness ! 😅
Victor is just in a totally different reality and just defies all physics and rules when it comes to bass playing, many tried and many failed.
One guy who "tried and succeeded" is Charles Berthoud. I cannot reccomend his videos enough. He was completely unknown just 2 years ago when I discovered him, and he's already become basically the most highly regarded player in the world. The guy is unbelievable and deserves as much attention as he can get. He's absolutely on the same level as Victor.
Seeing the Wooten Brothers do this at Ronnie Scott's is a highlight of my life.
Great stuff!
Este hombre es un mago del bajo. Excelente
drummer is the mvp
that was funkin wild!!
Mastery!
Tight!
“No times” lol these guys are great performers
yeah so on 2 lol
@@swettyspaghtti exactly lol. I thought they were gonna skip it all together
What I find even funnier is that No time is an actual thing and can be so confusing. Counting a measure that has no beat.
