They had the one of the most powerful debut mv. And any kpop been around long enough to notice that, debut songs don’t always end up successful until the next MVs or even further. It was tragic that such a potential group like Nuest had to ‘face’ a temporary end because of shitty managing and promotion. To be placed in a show competing with trainees, degrading them from idols to trainees was insulting. Thankfully, despite the horrible things done to them, they came out more successful than ever (albeit Minhyun is still with Wannaone until the end of the year). Hopefully, when Minhyun returns, they would be at their strongest, having all 5 together.

I waited for exo to hatch since 2011 but i kept my eye on the other promising 2012 groups like nuest, bap, vixx. One of the best debut songs is this. I'm still a huge exo fan until now and i've supported their merch by purchasing bec that counts a lot more than just online popularity. Pledis did nuest so wrong until they didn't solidify a strong fanbase... The first year of exo was tough, i loved them but there was anxiety as a fan bec exo didnt do well and never had news for a comeback for more than a year (which is critical for a rookie group bec this is when they should be most aggressive for the company to promote them) honestly, Growl being a hit was a huge game changer for them. (We all know companies try to promote a group but if the group does not draw in promising profit anymore, they put them in the back-burner). I believe rookie groups easily catch attention at debut so you need some type of luck for a really really good song or public recognition to happen to keep the attention of fans towards a group AFTER debut era. It's hard to debut, but it's harder to survive as a group after debuting :( the companies should've taken advantage of their popularity then so they wouldn't have had to slip slowly down the drain. I just hope their PD101 pulls nuest back up again, they've swallowed their pride for it. I hope they gain a big fanbase too :( P.S. I love jr in produce omg i was wondering why i couldn't recognize jonghyun as jr... So i went back to this(since i never stuck w them after debut) and he got so much hair and toughness vibes so i didnt see the cute marshmallow underneath !!!
