If you look at the 156 sneak peek it shows a station that doesn’t have overhead wires so this could be a Diesel only route extension as TM pointed it out so could be the station between willowfield and whitefield remember the line of trees
I think it would be unlikely for this extension to happen. Willowfield is a small terminal station with only three platforms. This would only make sense if Willowfield were to be expanded and/or upgraded.

Actually, mesh tracks don't necessarily remove lag, but increase lag instead. This is because of the increased amount of parts, even if it is meshed. I would opt for tracks with the rail as a mesh with decals as the sleepers.
I think the new station will locate between Edgemead and Leighton City, because I saw there is a triangle between these two stations and I never seen it before.
