That’s not at all what this song is about. This wasn’t an ego trip for him. He wanted the freedom to live his life the way he wanted to, with simplicity and gratitude for the little things.

It really humanizes Michael to hear him with his brothers because it’s not all about him and he’s not on a super high pedestal. It presents him in a more humble way. It feels different.
I completely understand you’re saying. He also always seems more lighthearted in the interviews and on stage when he’s with his brothers in my opinion.
