Noticed an interesting thing on my scope. The video quality affects the picture quality! Also on a lower quality video reading my X and Y settings changed when i moved to the highst quality. They were X-49 Y49 and are now X-97 Y97. ATN Europe tell me the Booting up message in Red is part of the latest firmware. My sight now take 28 seconds from turning on to being operational!
I have not noticed that on my scope, i was using 30fps but have recently switched to 60fps for video. i am using firmware 601 which was already installed on my scope when i got it re[;aced. I don't think it should take that long to boot up, mine might be 5 seconds.
Thank you for your video showing the calibration process. You'd think that would be included in the manual. I'm having issues with the calibration. It took 15 rounds before it would record all three shots. Once the third shot was recorded and the process accepted, I tired it out. It will record with the RAV off in manual mode, but not with the RAV on. The recoil will not activate a video recording with the RAV on. Is there a minimum amount of recoil necessary? I'm shooting a light Savage 93 in 22 mag., 30 gr Hornadys. Also, it seems that after any picture taking my zero shifts. Any suggestions on that too? 2024/7/27 Update: I ended up sending my scope off to ATN for inspection. They had another one in the mail within two days of receiving mine. This time I mounted the new scope on a 22 Hornet and after zero was established went to the calibration page. After 15 rounds, it would not pickup or record the necessary information for calibrating. I'm going to fiddle around with other micro sd cards just in case that's got something to do with it after I load up more ammo. I know it sounds corny, but that RAV feature is one of the reasons I bought this unit. With it working, I can show proof of kill via video to a paying client rather than stack Nutria or Coyotes in the back of the truck. Stay tuned!
Hello i have actually sent an email to 1 of the higher ups at ATN and recommended that they make instructional videos, i explained to them about our YT channel and all the comments we get, But no response. Both my 1st and 2nd scopes RAV would not work, i have not tested on my 3rd yet. A lot of people have the same issue, Rav should work on that caliber i know of people who are using it on air rifles. A lot of people do not know this the manual is not very clear, Rav must be active AND you Must have record on in order for it to work. That is the first i have heard about zero shifting after a photo. Just try this again if you haven't. Take a shot, than a photo, another shot check your target if off, go into zeroing check for axis #, IF #s are present hit confirm than take another shot. Hope this helps, please let us know
Hello sir Can I ask you a question I have the same scope and was very excited to have this scope. I have a problem when I try to use this scope at 40 yards in an indoor range to do some target shooting when I zoom in to x25 the video quality is absolutely terrible Is this normal or is this a problem with the scope. Thank you sir
Hello, i had the same problem when i used an indoor range, it could be the lighting from the range. It is not a problem with scope it is normal to a certain point. When i am hunting and zoom usually around 6-7 zoom the image starts to get digitized or pixels start to break up in a sense. Because it is a digital scope and zoom the more you zoom in the more the image breaks up. An example is if you enlarge an image on your phone or computer the image would get blurry.
Ciao, mi interessano molto i tuoi video.
Mine doesn't seem to work. Enter the calibration page for it and when taking a shot nothing happens at all. Number 1 isn't flashing as per manual. Did you get this working?
after you take the first shot the #1 should be solid and velocity should show up. every time i go to the range i always forget to set RAV up. i prefer using record vs rav, to me it is easier just to hit record button and i like to record in general. i would call ATN tech support just to see what they say, i know on my second scope rav was not working i had to send scope in and they sent a replacement.
@GadsdenFreedomOutdoors I've tried both ways of getting to the rav calibration menu but it just won't pick up on the recoil from my .17hmr. If I smack the stock I can get a reading out of it. Its odd because it says on the manual they have it working on .22 air rifles and my .17hmr certainly has more kick then that. I have a .243 to try it on at some point to see if that has any difference
@GadsdenFreedomOutdoors atn support seem okay but instead of troubleshooting they just seem to want to replace the scope. Which isn't bad but I'd rather figure out the problem and fix it then go through the effort and returns and such
On my 1st scope it would only read the first shot that's on a 308. I have seen people using rav on air rifles. It seems to be hit or miss for rav to work.
@@GadsdenFreedomOutdoors apologies, when I asked about the velocity it was while you were talking about the Rav, it sounded as if the scope detected the velocity when shooting
Very interesting Dennis!

Thanks good video. I wasn't using mine, now I will give it a try.

We have not received many messages with issues the 706 firmware nor seen many on other pages.

did you go through settings to get to rav calibration? if not try doing it that way instead of using the bottom widgets.

where is it getting the velocity from?
you have to check the velocity from the ammo your using most of them have the info on the box, if not you can get it from the manufacture website
@@GadsdenFreedomOutdoors apologies, when I asked about the velocity it was while you were talking about the Rav, it sounded as if the scope detected the velocity when shooting
no problem, the scope is suppose to detect the recoil of the caliber
